I had Nick come out and sell us siding the job went excellent. The crew was very clean very prompt and finished my entire roof in one day. I would recommend Modern Exteriors to anyone!

Had a wonderful experience with start to finish. This is a great family oriented company and does a great job at the exterior work that I needed done.

I believe Modern Exteriors deserves a rating of 0 because that is the amount of work that has been done, the amount of accurate information provided and the amount of accountability this company has. I got an estimate and signed on with Modern Exteriors in May of 2020 which was easily the worst decision I’ve made. All the information sounded great, but little did I know, it was all inaccurate. After months with no communication, lies and delays I requested to cancel my order and receive a refund. In November 2020 Modern Exteriors informed me I would receive a full refund for the down payment and it would be mailed out within the next couple weeks. 7 months later, after many emails, phone calls and voice mails that went unanswered, Modern Exteriors went back on what was previously discussed and said I wouldn’t be receiving a refund due to the materials being delivered. So now I’m being punished for a Modern Exterior employee’s mistake!? I even offered to have Modern Exteriors complete the job at a discounted price but never heard back from them. I've continued to call, but get sent directly to voice mail every time. When calling from a different number, they magically picked up.... but were rude and like always, provided inaccurate information or straight up lied. This company wants your money, not your business. I would NEVER recommend Modern Exteriors to anyone that cares about customer service, their time or money.

From the start of the project in JUNE until they finished (what we would allow them on the property to finish so they could give us the warranty on the roof) in DECEMBER was a nightmare. There was little to no communication from the company. I was given the run around that they would be at my house to finish the project before July 4th. Never came to finish, so I called multiple times until the end of July. For my sanity I stopped calling them. It took until End of October beginning of November before they contacted me to finish the roof (because down payment was pulled from the finance company because they could not get a reply back from American Modern Exteriors). The owner texted my husband and threatened to sue us and wanted us to contact him personally. When husband tried to contact him he would not answer the phone or call back. They finally came to put eve vents in last week. They barely pulled out of the driveway and emailed us the final bill (with payment due in 3 days). My husband decided to just pay them to get rid of the headache of dealing with them. We would never recommend this company to anyone. There were many lies given to us throughout the whole process and the owner was very unprofessional and would never contact us directly and always made his workers contact us.

We hired this company to redo our roof which was leaking water into our bedroom. On the first meeting the guy was late but we weren't too quick to judge. They provided what sounded like a steal of a deal quote with amazing sounding warranty promised, so we signed. However it took months of work with only one guy showing up, little returned communication, and having our roof removed the whole time so water leaked in Everytime it rained, into our house and electrical. Then even after the new roof was on months later we STILL had and CONTINUE to have water leak into our home. We have over the course of a year+ now have had to leave multiple messages (when the messages weren't full) and got only 5% of our calls returned and he never comes back to fix it. Roof still leaking in a different additional room now... One we had just remodeled. And no resolution and no honor of contract or promised warranty. Do NOT use this company. Now we are needing to save money to have it redone again by someone who can actually do the job.

Rate them a 0. We gave them a down payment of almost $6000 to replace siding and a deck. They never showed up to perform any of the work even after repeated attempts to resolve the problem, so we took them to small claims court in January and won. But they still haven't refunded our money from spring of 2020. We doubt they ever will. Contact the Consumer Protection Agency of Wisconsin to check them out if considering to sign a contract with this company.

This company is absolutely a fraud. Did roof repair for our business and gave a 10 year no leak warranty. First rain and water leaked into building. Troy Kugel never answers his phone or stands behind a word he speaks. Do not trust this guy…. He deserves to be prosecuted for taking peoples money and running like a coward.

Very unresponsive. We were told that since we are tearing off our own roof they would be here on July 20th. We tore off our roof. They were not here on that Monday. There was a big rain storm that ended up causing water damage in our daughters room. So we asked if we could have someone come and tarp it since we did not have the man power or equipment. They said yes and two guys showed up that did not know how to roof and left without tarping it. They assured us someone would come tarp it. Here we are on August 1st. They have told us time and time again someone will tarp it. No one has come. We have no idea when our roof is being put on. They never answer our calls and when we call off different numbers they answer on the first ring. Each person we talk to gives us a different story. No communication between the company or with us. We now have been sitting with no roof and water damage and this company has done nothing to help us. All they do is give a run around and tell us lies. Very disappointed. Life is pretty stressful with no roof, water damage and a company that doesn't care.

They rescheduled on us twice. Then when the estimator comes to our home, he takes no consideration into COVID (reached out to shake our hands). He asked to use our bathroom. He had no idea what he was here for (had to ask us for the project details). Spent less then 2 minutes looking in the attic. Invites himself to sit at our kitchen table, proceeds to smell a bottle of liquor we had on the table, then tells us we should just learn to live with the mold. You cant make this stuff up. I have never experienced anything so crude in all my life and we've worked with a lot of contractors. Based on this interaction and all the reschedules, there is no way I would hire this company.

Our appt was for 4:30 in the afternoon (and he was 15 min late). Perhaps you have us confused with a different unsatisfied customer.

Any positive review is a fake. This company stole our down payment and doesn’t even care that we took them to court and won our civil case. They have no intention to ever pay us but will continue to scam others out of their money. We are looking to file criminal charges.

Hard to get them to your jobsite once they have your money. Coming at 10pm at night to finish up roof. Then fishing up second roof the ahead at night also with flashlight. I really believe if I have a roof problem he will not stand behind his work.
