Dollar General

Yesterday I came into this store in dire need of some baby diapers for my infant. By using my phone number I got a discount on the Luvs diapers. Instead of 8 bucks they were only 6 dollars and some change. I got to the register and after swiping my card 4 times the same result. It declined. I went home told the wife and it showed the 6 bucks and change as pending. I thought it had worked but upon coming back to the store talked to the Manager or GM I'm not sure who it was but thisreal nice lady I had seen earlier. I walked out of the store bummed and worried about what to do for diapers. I got almost to my vehicle and heard a lady yell excuse me sir. Here are the diapers I don't want your baby to have to go without diapers. No you don't have to do that for me yes it's ok. I told the lady thank you but never got to catch her name. Hopefully I see her again in the near future. I just wanted to share my story. It may have only seemed like 6.50 bucks but to me it was a very kind deed that shouldn't go overlooked. Thank you to the kind sweet lady again. If you read this thank you I got home and told the wife and she was also very appreciative . I couldn't wait to tell the wife what had happened.

I asked for help and the lady pulling tags helped me right away. The store was very clean and neat. The people at the checkout were fast and kept the lines moving. Keep up the great work!

I've bought everything from food, to kitchen supplies, to party favors. It's always laughable the amount of items you can buy and you total be under $30. The cashier's are always quick, and the value vs quality of the items always seem to favor you. I have no major complaints about this location or this franchise in general.

They were helpful. I was able to call and come in and find the items I needed. Had looked all over town for affordable pillows, silverware and other items. They had everything great price and good quality.

They have everything u may need. I found everything I needed. And saved using coupons. 6.68. It not seem like alot but add it up month after month. And If u need something in a rush for dinner they may have the INGREDIENTS for you to. 😁😁😁💖💖💖

Just started shopping at the DG. Good deals with online coupons. But you have to make sure all your discount coupons process. I've had issues with the extra 5 off 25 Gain. Alot of people have issues with that coupon working.

This dollar general n the other 1 in waupacs are the best. If your digital coupons don't work, they look it up to see why it didn't work. If it's in your account and is meant to be used it will honor it. All the other dollar generals act like they can't look up the coupons and make u feel stupid and poor for even asking.. then I've been told if they have to cancel an order they get into trouble for it. Then when I complained that no one else helps honor the coupons I had a manager confront me about it saying he got into trouble, so thanks to the district or regional manager for having a manager who already snapped on me bcuz I got irratated waiting 15 mins while an employee who had 2cancel and re-ring up an order because none of my coupons worked answered a phone call and walked away. Then when I went to his register and told him 2 different things rang up wrong, he walked off to "check on the different prices". When I asked hello can someone please help me, he snapped at me and claimed he was checking on the prices like I said but he was gone for 6 or more minutes.
Then the employee ringing me up asked me if she had already rang up an item (because it was rang up and bagged from the last order). I said yes it was. Then she sat there for 3/4 mins reviewing the receipt tape to verify it. Ok so thank u for calling me a liar and a thief all at one time.. then I was very irratated as ANYONE WOULD BE... I was pretty short with them n I believe I said ok so why ask if u weren't going to trust my word. Even the manager said he didn't think that it was rang up, but it was.. I was so ready to leave AND THE MANAGER FOLLOWED ME OUT OF THE STORE TO HAVE A WORD WITH ME... He had the audacity to tell me he didn't appreciate the fact that I apparently must've swore while addressing his employee and he didn't think it was very appropriate. I laughed and I said are u serious right now. I told him that neither he or his employee were professional at all to me. And I couldn't believe he approached me outside to complain that I accidentally said a swear word while being offended with the way the treated me. If he was concerned with my behavior, he could have simply ask me not to swear inside not follow me out and lecture me like a child. It was so embarrassing and I was so upset that after how I was treated by both of them, that he had the nerve to complain that I swore.
Your employee answered a telephone call while she was supposed to be ringing up my order. Then you walked off to check a price instead of ringing up my order and having his employee check the price when she returned or doing it after. It was funny that one thing about the $2

I just love these stores. I cannot complain. I have very little money. So when others are generous enough to spend their money on me. I'd rather utilize these stores and get the most out of the dollar.

The place has just about anything you want. The prices are very reasonable. It looks like they are carrying more food items than the last time i went into one of these stores.
