The Barley House Restaurant & Tavern

Loved everything about this place. As a person who loves ales and wheat beers, this place was paradise! They have so many options! I loved their barley 10yo pale ale, and the allagash white wheat beer. Now coming to the food, their HADDOCK SANDWICH IS THE BEST SANDWICH I've had in a while. The haddock had fried crispy batter and was soaked in tartar sauce and was SOOOO good that my mouth is still watering. The ambience is very nice too, and the golden lights add to the warmth of the place. Will be back here again!

Great little down town spot! They have a bar area and tables and booths. The music playing was a cool folk indie vibe. The pepperoni pizza was amazing!!! Comes 6 huge prices. Its a Chicago style pan pizza and was delicious. They also had some fun seasonal drinks like the apple cider sangria I ordered.

Post half marathon, walked in for a beer on Sunday first thing at open 11:30. Great vibe, nice quick service at the bar. The turkey sandwich though 😍 Where do they get the bread from?! So soft! And the cranberry mayo - I wanted more. Massive sandwich, I split it with my friend. Totally recommend this stop for just a beer or to have some quick lunch.

We stopped in here after a long day of driving, and it was one of the few restaurants open late. The service and food were great. Our waitress, Kira, I believe, was nice and made some good drink recommendations. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I really like this place! Out of all the places that we visited in Concord I feel like this had some of the best Irish food that I could've had in the area. I tried the burger as well as the fried brussels sprouts which come with walnuts and are delicious, and the sausages. We also got cocktails these were really strong and well-made. We were seated immediately as soon as we walked in, the place is very large is built around the bar and also has a restaurant seating in the back. Large wooden tables can seat 6 to 8 people. The wait stuff was really good with us we wanted to change our seats and as soon as the table opened up for us they allowed us to move over. We put in our food requests and I would say took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive and about 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. They also have a really large area on the right for additional seating as well as where the toilets are. The space was really well-managed clean and I highly recommend anyone who comes this area to visit this place

This is a big restaurant with a big dining room with a lot of booths and tables that stretch into the basement that has a bar. They also have a large outdoor patio. The food was well done and the service was prompt and polite. Don't sleep on the bangers and mash.

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday with a party of 7. There was only a short wait for them to put our table together. The front signage reminds me of an Irish or British pub, but the menu is small and doesn't include some of what you would normally find in one.
The curry fish and chips was unique to me and i really enjoyed it. The batter reminds me of a beer batter in texture but a unique but subtle flavor. A lot of the fish and chips I've had elsewhere seemed oily, but this was perfectly cooked and not oily. I believe they use Cod, so the fish is neutral in flavor and lets the batter do the work. Some of my employees that eat a lot of fried food didn't think the fish had enough flavor, but I thought it was perfect. Service was slow and I was without a second beer for at least 15 minutes. I believe they were short staffed and at capacity though so I don't expect that to be a normal issue.

We came for a trivia night in the basement. The trivia isn't read aloud and you have to use an app to read the questions and answer. This makes it less annoying if you dont want to be involved or listen to the host, but also means you can't casually listen in.

Excellent food. I had the Dublin burger 🍔. It was cooked to perfection and the mix of flavors complimented each other well. The Mac n cheese is another amazing choice! And the Sweet potato fries were perfect. 10/10

The Dublin Burger is still best the burger in town.
It never disappoints.
Plus, the fries are always crisp.
The buffalo tenders are a great starter and served with one of the best tasting blue cheese dressings I've ever had.

The food was very good! And the waiter was phenomenal. We got two appetizers. A special which was frog legs and some cheese fried puffs which were yummy. We got mushroom bourbon burger, it was a perfect medium rare and the flavors good, umami packed. We also got the hangover burger which was very good but very messy. Additionally we got bbq bison burger which had a nice Smokey flavor but it was also very salty for me. Their cooking of the burger meat temperature was spot on! Also we got a fish and chips which was amazing. The batter was so light and the fish was buttery and delicious. Highly recommend coming here for some tasty and flavorful food!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Concord. The food is always very good and consistent. The service is great and it’s a nice atmosphere. I also enjoy sitting outside when the weather is nice. They have a decent variety of beers. My favorite things to order are the squash salad and the pizza.

Always a great meal here. The outside dining area is plentiful and pleasant. They make a wicked deep dish pizza, amazing burgers and a handful of main dishes that will keep you filled. Good selection of beers on tap as well as in bottles.

Really good, fantastic service! Our server, Sabara (I hope I spelled it correctly, much apologies if it's wrong) was awesome, she made great recommendations, explained the food choices and kept water and pints full. We started with spinach dip, the hand-cut corn chips were excellent. We also had the Blarney Puffs. I had the pork belly tacos which were really good. A definite place to come back to again. They have a neat contact tracing option located at the bottom of the receipt

Barley house had excellent food. The pumpkin and apple bisque was one of the best soups I have had. The lobster blt and fish and chips were both great as is their beer selection. Definitely a place to visit when you are in town. Finally, the service was great.

Stopped here on our way home from a road trip. It was directly across the street from the capitol! The bartender was friendly and the food was amazing! We got the mcbarley burger, bison burger and couldn't help ourselves from also ordering a deep dish pizza to take home. I can't wait for the next time I'm passing through to stop in again!

Friendly and attentive waitress. They had some specials on so I went for the pork chop special which had a good amount of flavor and the portions were good to. I would be back. We waited for 10 minutes, and they use a texting waitlist system.

Good atmosphere, good location, and friendly staff. They buy from a local farm, and the burgers and apps were delicious.

One of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had eating out. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, maintained a very clean and safe environment. Plus the views of the capitol area are great. We will be coming back!
