Boomer's Books

No frills used book shops are a rare breed these days. Boomer's has a good selection, particularly on military history, and the owner of the shop is very friendly.

Definitely worth a visit for any true book lover.

Found this place on a drive to Weare, soon as I opened the door, I heard "welcome!" and I smelled the books, and immediately thought I'd died and gone to heaven! John is very nice and he didn't insinuate himself on me while I was browsing, I felt free to just take my time and if I needed him, he was there. I will most definitely be making another trip back to spend more time.

I've been driving past this place for years, ever since I was a kid. So I decided today was the day I'll stop in! It has a really cool used bookstore feel to it (because it is). He was moving some shelfs around so it was clustered, so I'm definitely going to have to go back again!
Oh and the gentleman (I got his name but cant remeber it) was really nice and friendly and let me do my own thing. 5/5 will go back!

Boomer's is a fascinating place. John (the owner) is super nice and a major expert on modeling. Sure, it's cluttered, but that's part of the charm.

Incredible book selection of every subject. Original first prints,signed copies and rare or hard to find books. Also some other collectable and nostalgia. I have to go back there.
