Travelodge by Wyndham South Hackensack

I love this place! It's very affordable. The rooms are nice for a motel. The place is clean. The staff is friendly. There's no continental breakfast and only a single soda machine on site, but there's several food options within walking distance, including a Burger King less than 5 minutes walk from the motel. If you drive for less than 5 minutes, those food options triple if not quadruple. It's conveniently down the road from the Walmart and it's accompanying shipping center, as well as a 7-11 in the opposite direction. There's several bus stops nearby that go to a variety of places including NYC, the American Dream Mall, Hackensack, Paterson, & the many cities in between.
I just hope my nice review doesn't have this place so booked I can't get a room myself! Lol

Rooms aren't up to date . Bathroom was dirty , smelled like mold

Incredible! My room was newly renovated. Super clean. Bed new, furniture new. Big TV, great parking situation.

Motel is located close to the Teterboro Airport which u don’t really hear over here. It’s just simply awesome to stay if u wanna hop over to Manhattan via Lincoln Tunnel or GEO bridge. Super convenient. Never made it into the city that quick.

Service was amazing, did not expect that from a budget hotel. Friendly staff, easy check in. Breakfast provided. Entire motel seems to be newly renovated.

If u r looking for a cheap, quiet and clean place to stay try it out. That’s definitely my new place to go if I’m traveling to this area!!

I may don't know what it's like before. But when I checked in I was surprised how good the room is, it's definitely renovated and everything feels new. They definitely kept it in a good condition. Room is very clean and modern not to mention the big LG flat screen and a very nice high speed wifi at almost 3MB/s, it's actually faster than most hotel I've been to. Considering the price, it's a steal.

The staff is very professional and friendly. Rooms are updated and very clean. The bus going to NYC is right across the street and it only takes 25 to 30 minutes to get there. It is safe. The staff is also, very helpful. There are good places to eat close by and a Wal-Mart to get anything else you might need or forgot. Great place. Highly recommend staying here.

Me and a friend decided to take a trip to NYC after we finished a marine construction contract in Peoria, Illinois. I've been all over the country for work and I've been in some of the nicest and some of the worst hotels you could ever imagine. I didn't expect much from this place, but I liked that it was a little outside of the city and everything as far as purchased goods would be a little cheaper.

I was beyond pleasantly surprised. The room we stayed in (I cant speak for the rest) was extremely clean and well maintained. The guy at the front desk was very helpful with bus routes, shopping, restaurants, and anything else we needed. Granted, we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel other than to sleep and shower, but it was a great experience. The room was freshly cleaned, customer service was well above average, housekeeping maintained our room every day, the area seemed a little sketchy at first, but everyone we met was extremely nice.

We had no issues whatsoever with the area or surrounding areas. The only issue that we had was with the police. I back the blue all day everyday, but the second day we were there, we got pulled over in the hotel parking lot. I'm assuming it was the out of state license plate, but the officer told us that we had a brake light out. We DID NOT because I got out and checked myself while the officer was there. He left and we didn't have any other problems. We did see a few people get arrested in the parking lot. One guy was drunk and passed out behind the wheel in a parking spot, and another was a traffic stop that ended right in front of our room.

It costs 4.50 to take the bus to Manhattan and it takes about 26 minutes.... Give or take a few minutes for traffic. The bus runs every half hour and it's bus number 161 if I remember correctly. There's also a Wal-Mart a mile or so up the road next to the airport.

All in all, it's a great place to stay and I will be staying there again in October. I recommend it to anyone. I know some of you had a bad experience, but I personally had a great one. I hope this was helpful.

Amazing stay here, very convenient! Free parking and breakfast included. Right next to Teterborough airport. Around 15-20 min drive to Upper West Manhattan. Comfortable stay and easily accessible place at a good price. Great staff!

Place exceeded expectations for a 2-star. Needed the room to sleep after a show we traveled out of town to see. Room was clean and updated. Great for last minute scheduling

Small rooms, but clean and very modern. Hotel has obviously been recently renovated. Huge TV, stylish bathroom. Wifi very fast and stable.

Great customer service and price.
Airport is near, but noise was No problem.
will definitely come back again when I go to NYC next time for sure.
