Brew Coffee Bar

This is my favorite coffee shop in Matawan, and maybe in the whole region. The owner is super friendly, and they know how to brew a great coffee! You won't find "regular coffee" here. Their selection is amazing, you can choose a lighter or darker roast, drip coffee etc. Even their tea selection is worth exploring.
When I was there they had apple cider donuts, which is perfect for this weather 🥰

Brandon was really attentive. He asked about our preference and suggested a great dark roast. Mexican Chiapas. Ordered a Lavender Lemonade and it was delish. Homemade lemonade. Very pretty looking too 💕

Best place to get coffee AND whole beans in town. The owner Brandon really knows his stuff and has a true passion for coffee. Everything he makes is good and always has great recommendations.

Stopped in this past Sunday for some coffee. Brandon the owner greeted me and we had a nice little conversation. Brandon hand steeps each cup when you order. I ordered the small Almond Joy coffee. With each sip you could taste the flavors. I will be making this place my go to.

If you actually care about coffee and not sugar and milk, this is an amazing gem in a sea of mediocrity. The owner makes every pour over by hand in a calculated downright scientific manner. The flavor ranges in the beans he offers are interstellar! The flavors advertised are what you will be enjoying in a black coffee. A dash of cream is not frowned upon. Drink what you like. Be advised there are no espresso deinks here but you wont miss it when you taste the magic of these pour-overs.

Brew Coffee Bar is a staple on Main Street in Matawan. I wish we had more small businesses like this -- they add to the great downtown experience that many towns strive for. Brandon, the owner is probably the most well-versed coffee aficionado I've ever met. He can talk about coffee and never get tired of the subject. The atmosphere has a fun New York City vibe. This past Christmas I spent an hour or so enjoying some Earl Grey tea and singing Christmas Carols with one of Matawan's councilmen playing piano for the cheerful crowd. It's a fun place!

Great place to get great coffee. The owner is friendly and really knows what he's doing. Good selection of beans. Well worth the price.

Amazing coffee shop. My wife and I loved the coffee here, as well as the great service offered to us by the owner himself, Brandon. From the moment we walked in he greeted us with true genuineness and a strong desire to get us to love coffee and coffee culture, being especially aware of the great quality and uniqueness of the one that he serves, which we loved. All the time we were there he stood talking with us about everything from coffee to our personal interests and stories. We felt as if it was God’s will for us to visit this coffee shop that day. Besides that we also had a great time talking with one of his friends who happened to be visiting at the same time. In the end we bought some of his coffee and the mug you see below. The owner really enjoys coming up with from flavor combos and is passionate about getting you a delicious cup of coffee. He asks about preferences and takes them into account. I would recommend and would visit again

Sat in for a coffee class. Brandon is very intelligent and passionate about coffee. He creates every drink by hand and puts a lot of care and intention into it. Not to mention, the coffee was delicious!

I love coffee and this was easily the best coffee shop experience I’ve ever had. Brandon the owner is super friendly and knowledgeable and the coffee is the top notch as was the forbidden brownie. We did the coffee omakasi and it was such a unique experience. Truly an experience of what coffee can be. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Will definitely be back

Brandon was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, and has a wide variety of offerings at his shop. He told me that he experiments with different brewing methods (e.g. conical filter, flat filter, hybrid immersion drippers) for each coffee to ensure that every cup of coffee served is the best that it can be.

As a former barista and coffee roaster, I can confidently say that Brandon puts more thought and care into each drink than the vast majority of cafes in NJ.

I would highly recommend Brew Coffee Bar to anyone looking for a good coffee experience, but especially for people who will appreciate Brandon's extreme dedication to his craft.

The flavors are very unique and the freshly brewed coffee tastes awesome and very refreshing. Must try the oatmilk based coffees. The barista/owner is a wonderful person to talk to, very friendly environment.

Excellent cold brew! I’m thrilled to have a nice local place to grab coffee and right on Main Street. The pastries are also delicious.

This is one of those hidden Gems that you didn’t know you needed but once you go here and you have some of Brandon’s coffee it is life changing and you realize that this fulfills you. Very happy to say I stopped in today for my first time and had a great experience from the service to the locally sourced coffee beans + his method and madness behind his craft is second to none. Go try this local coffee shop ASAP and start enjoying life one sip at a time.

You will not find a better coffee shop with a nicer owner. A great place to check out, especially if you like board games as well. Trying to make it out to open mic night, i’m sure it’s great.
