5 star. Service exceptionally good. The lunch specials were huge and epic and $8. That soup and fried chicken with rice and potatoes amazing. The green hot sauce should be sold and bottled up. Came on a Saturday and the Arroz con Pato was pretty good. Huge portions for a reasonable price!

I recently visited this restaurant with my husband. Delicious, flavourful food with great prices and generous portions! The hardest part was deciding what to order from the menu! We cannot wait to eat here again, and loved how friendly everyone was.

We tried the lomo saltado (my favourite!) and tacu tacu con mariscos (his favourite!).

Ohhh boy. Go here. The ceviche con pescado was delicious. Bursting with flavor, and the spicy option was the perfect amount of heat, didn't overpower the dish at all. It's a nice little restaurant with friendly staff and a warm atmosphere, definitely gives me an excuse to go to West New York.

FAST - Food. Ambience. Service. Time.

We had Jalea, Chicharron de Camaron, Ensalad Mixto, Chuleta a la Parrilla, Pechuga a la Parrilla with maduros and coffee. It came with arroz blanco con frijoles.
The food was delicious, everything was fresh. The coffee was deep dark roast and strong, too much so for my liking - had to put more cream.

The ambience is not what we expected. I was a little disappointed. The restaurant had more like a "fast food place" feel to it and, sure enough, there was a constant stream of "take-out" orders. They had about five or six table seating. When we walked in only one was taken, but all the tables were taken soon enough. There was space, but still everything looked crowded where it was. The structure itself missed character, some of which was salvaged by the colorful wall paintings. The owners did best they could with the place, but there is still some scope for improvement. There was Peruvian music playing on the TV, which was great!

Service was the highlight. After we sat down, we had to wait a little. Initially, there were not too many people. The fact that there were not too may people and we were just sitting there bothered us. We were ready to walk out to another place across the street but just as we were thinking that, we were attended to. It was an excellent experience from there. The person who waited on us was a sweetheart, always following up, always talking softly and with respect. This despite the fact that she was very busy, constantly on the movie - very agile for someone who looked to be in her 60s. We left 30+% tip and every penny was worth it, she did a great job.

Time. Initially, we were skeptic due to the wait. However, everything was timely after that. The follow-ups were spaced out, allowing us to enjoy our food but at the same time showed concern if we wanted anything else. Even with a full place and a constant stream of take-out orders, they were patient with us and never appeared overwhelmed.

Will go again!

Do not be put off by the look from the exterieur, go inside and you will have an excellent peruvian meal served by really friendly staff. The portions are huge! We shared one dish for two with our kids and still couldn't finish!!! No alcohol but you can bring your own which is pretty cool! So if you have spent all of your money in Manhattan in the day Eslabon will cool down your credit card!

Absolutely loved my time here. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic. Our server was attentive and always checking in on us. Our food was fresh and delicious. The menu has a lot of authentic Peruvian cuisine that you just won't find anywhere else. The most difficult thing is locating parking. We didn't have to wait as we were seated right away. I can imagine the place getting busier tho.

El Eslabon has exceptional customer service, quality food, and they always treat you like your are part of the family. My father and I love coming here to dine in or order take out. They never disappoint!

If you’re looking on Google maps wondering if you should try this place, try it! It’s absolutely amazing. Tried a ton of restaurants in the area and this is my favorite. Ceviche and chicken thighs are amazing.

I wish I could try more of the menu, but I never get that far because always order the same thing because it's so good! Super good. Always a "must visit" when my friends visit. Very welcoming aura about the place.

Guys! If you want to eat real and delicious peruvian food, then come here! Don't think it twice! The Picarones are so good. Jalea? Mmmm. Yummy!!! I went to this place a few times and every single one of them the food and the service were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

I’ve been a customer for years now. I loved eating at this place as a young boy, by far the best Peruvian restaurant in NJ for me. Seafood is their specialty, they have mastered how to make ceviche, every other place I’ve went to eat ceviche at is trash, can’t be compared to this. If you want Peruvian sea food I highly recommend you should visit this restaurant. The environment is also good, service is great too. I hope you guys come by and try their food you won’t regret it ❤🇵🇪 .

The best ceviche in West New York. Please don’t go anywhere else. Also call ahead fridays and saturdays for their cilantro rice that I can never get 😡 it’s the best! Visiten El Eslabón para el mejor ceviche de el area!
