Nice place to walk with easy trails, has some areas shaded well by trees & some spots that are more open. I don’t have pets but it seems like this would be a good place to walk with your dog(s). My friend and I enjoy the occasional walk here when walking around our apartment complex gets too boring.

I’m an environmentalist and a little biased but this place has a TON of diversity especially so close to route 35 and heavy development. There’s shady wet areas with blueberries and viburnums, open areas covered in switchgrass and goldenrods, drier shady areas with hickories and oaks, and really dry areas with red cedars, prickly pear cactus, and bayberry.

Yes there are ticks… When you go in nature you’re in their territory.

I never knew this park existed till recently. I have an older client in an assisted living facility that I take her here for a picnic lunch. They have a picnic table not far from the parking lot which makes it ideal for the situation

I love the natural trails and unpolished look. It's closer to exploring natural landscape than other parks.
