Bought some live bait green crabs from this tackle store twice. Every time green crab size was pretty small and almost 25% crabs were already dead. Can’t use for the bait.

Great stock.the only down side is it's pretty pricey.but quality costs more. I'd rather pay a little more than have to send something back etc..great selections of everything. Can't find it here you don't need it. Kitchen sinks special order..LOL

I will start by saying that I have never in my life felt so great after making a purchase in a local establishment. I was in need of a couple rods, reels, and some lures. I set a budget, and he showed me the best options they had to offer. As always, I did my due diligence and the pricing matched big box, and Internet pricing. The best is he didn’t try to upsell or push me towards something I didn’t want. He was beyond patient, and spent the time we needed to complete this purchase correctly. He even checked out my knotting because I wasn’t sure if the knots I use were any good for what I was using them for. Lastly, he observed I was handicapped, and at the end of my purchase, he walked with me out and held the door. I couldn’t believe it! I legit couldn’t believe it. I want to thank Jason with Fishermen Supply, Pt Pleasant for being such a professional salesman, and all around great human being. He is already successful but this young gentleman is going big places for sure!! Kudos to you brother!! You have made me a FIshermen Supply customer for life!! You ever need a letter of recommendation, I’m here brother!! Way to be!!

I love the selection here. The amount of plugs is unbelievable! Ive had great experiences when im in there. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They were very nice to my 4 year old daughter as well, who took a liking to a soft, pink paddle tail. Its this kind of service that will bring me back time and time again.

Ronnie and the other staff are great. If you are a surfcasters, there are few shops in NJ that match what they have in terms of selection and quality. Nice offshore and inshore selection as well. New selling Hobie kayaks as well. Top notch.

Awesome tackle shop. The employees are great and very knowledgeable. I recommend if you have never been here to check it out. It's amazing how much stuff they have.

Bought a PENN Slammer3 reel and it turned out to be a defect ( very disappointed for a "USA Made" reel). Anyway, I went back to the shop with the reel the next day and the guys at Fisherman Supply really took care of me. Ronnie and the other young employee were top notch people all the way. I could have purchased my reel cheaper on Amazon or Cabelas but I chose to use a small business and this was exactly why. Fisherman Supply has myself and my family and friends business for life. Update 4-21-2018.
So evidently I had these folks read wrong. Not good people or an honest business at all. They are all about helping you if you are opening up your WALLET like I did for a $550 Van Staal reel. I recently had an issue regarding my reel so I called them and spoke to Ronnie and another manager and never even received a return phone call. I’ll never spend another dime there. If you want great service go to Grumpys. Grumpys is a much better store anyway in terms of selection.

Got lost looking for a certain shop that is no longer around, went by a dock with charter boats, asked where a good shop was. They said, "right down the road. They got everything!!!!" And they weren't kidding. And very cool staff. Definitely a saltwater fisherman's go to spot.
