Just had Your Hometown Movers move us from NYC to a little town in the Catskills. This is our second time moving with them (first time was 3 years ago). They were fantastic. Super professional, friendly, efficient. Matt, Sebastien, and Luis were a great team. They listened to us, and we had full confidence in them. Highly recommended!

So let me tell you about my entire experience with Your Home Town Mover. Starting with my phone call and speaking with a lovely young lady by the name of Kate. I called on Thursday and was able to get Your Hometown Movers at my door 2 days later. I honestly can't thank her enough for her diligence, She was very professional. She made me feel comfortable in a time of high anxiety. Thank you very much,

Now! lets get on to my Movers. Well I am sure that you have herd of SUPERMAN. Well Kamar, Pete and, Damian I would like to refer to them as SUPERMEN. Kamar and his crew were honestly faster then the speed of lighting these guy worked so fast had we had the place completely boxed up they would have had the entire job done in under 4 hour. They were very professional they came upstairs with blankets to drape over all the furniture they didn't damage anything. But do to the nature of my stair case and how slippery the steps were I honesty just wanted them to be safe so I told them I honestly didn't care if the table had a blanket on in. I just want to make sure that they didn't slip and brake your muscles of steel. Lol I want to highly thank you for rescuing me. Without Kamar and his crew I would have been sunk. Thank you thank you thank you so much.

All and all I highly recommend Your Hometown mover if you need to move anything. They are amazing form start to finish.

Happy to share our experience with Your Hometown Mover - especially our crew on move-in day: Matt, Mason and Antonio. They moved quickly, but were careful with everything, were happy to accommodate any of our requests, were lovely to deal with and professional throughout. We've used many movers through the years and these guys were the best!

Our movers were on time and got straight to work.
They grinded for near 7hr plus and took NO breaks.
Even on a stormy rainy day, these guys went far above and beyond our expectations!
Pete, Kamar and Gio were a seamless force of moving professionals.
They were polite and worked extremely efficiently.
Our move liaison Kim, communicated with us clearly throughout our move day checking in with us.
Sandra our sales coordinator, also worked very diligently to keep our goals focused and organized.

Moved for Poughkeepsie NY to Coastal NC...Matt showed actually early with his crew (I think Mason and Max?) And quickly loaded my 4br house into the truck. 2 days later met in NC and Matt pulled up and they unloaded the truck quickly and respectfully. Very kind workers and not 1 thing was wrong. Would 100% recommend this company. Total professionals. Thank you !

Really great experience. My team was Matt, Dennis and Daniel and they were really friendly, really paid attention to what was delicate/fragile. Took extra time to deal with taking legs off furniture for a very narrow staircase at the move in location.

Good prep conversations, I knew just what to expect, everything was on time, overall great experience.

These guys did a great job moving me from a house and storage unit to an apartment. They were timely, professional, good attitude and worked around several "problems" like getting the piano out the room where it was, and dealing with low hanging utility wires . I definitely recommend them.

We had a great experience with hometown movers. They handled all of our items with care and were helpful and in good spirits throughout the day, despite the very warm weather. They even brought in some extra team members at the last minute to help us move our piano up some tricky stairs. I’d highly recommend this service. I have used hometown mover several times now this year and couldn’t be happier. Josh & Matt have been team leaders for all of our moves - both of them and their crews have provided excellent and reliable service. Kate has been our point of contact and she is both responsible and accommodating. Their prices are fair, and most importantly, the job always gets done without any issue. We are very happy with the quality work Hometown Mover did helping us move last month. Sandra was very personable and made the estimate process very easy, accurate and efficient. On the day of the move, the truck was only running about 30 min behind, but they called to let us know which was great.
Kumal, Pete, Wes and Dean were awesome. They did a superb job, expertly maneuvering HEAVY stuff (including a piano, an indoor tree and heavy furniture), all without a nick anywhere. Very quick, communicated well with each other and with us.
Hope we don’t have to move again soon, but I would recommend them to anyone.

Your Hometown Mover is a great company to work with-from booking, to follow-ups up until the actual move date, everything was handled efficiently! Kate was the advisor I work d with and she was always responsive even after hours. The movers, Jake, Damian and Pete were prompt, efficient, careful with the pieces they were handling and moving and were very professional. I highly recommend them.

These guys are wonderful! I had move with them on the 27th and couldn't be happier with their services. Our movers were Ian and James, I believe. Both of them were incredibly respectful, efficient, friendly, and just all the qualities you'd want. They listened to what we wanted and got it done. In the little time that they were moving our things, they complimented some of our things and showed some of their personalities, which I really appreciated. It can be awkward when people providing you with a service are just totally inhuman, and it was not that way at all with these guys.

One of the things we had them move was a huge antique mirror, which arrived totally pristine. I'd trust them to move pretty much anything. They also assembled our bed for us and put the mattress on. Everything exceeded our expectations. Their rates are extremely fair and easy to understand and there are no surprises or questionable fees. I'd highly recommend them and would definitely call them again if I move in the future!

UPDATE IN 2023 - Matt, Marco and Shane helped my wife and I today as we moved out of the apartment this company helped us move into in my above review. All three of them deserve a raise and a promotion! They were just as kind, cordial and efficient as the people who helped us before were! Everything went 100% perfectly. These guys are the kind of people you want to continue to see after the move. They’re awesome people doing an awesome job at a fair rate. Calling any other company means missing out on this great experience.

My daughter has used this company twice. Once for local and again this year for long distance. I want to leave a SHOUTOUT to Sandra & the WHOLE team. I was doing this move "solo" or so I thought. The team that I was lucky enough to work with made it feel like a party. It was alot of hard work in the heat, but we made it a party. A hard working party, but nonetheless a party. I had the pleasure of meeting up with them, 3 times, during prep for long distance move. We ran into a snag, cleaning out a storage unit in the beginning of the move, but one call to Sandra and no more snag !! The guys are professional, hardworking and alot of fun We had a little confusion in the very beginning about our meeting spot, thru no fault of theirs, but Sandra stepped in and helped us make it work. I have alot of respect for her and the guys !! If I lived in New York, I would ALWAYS use this company. Sending much love their way !!

I can't say enough about Your Hometown Mover(s). Fabulous communication, we had the same agent throughout the entire process, from inquiry to move day. I loved the clear and easy online inventory system and the ability to adjust and get a real quote. The team arrived on time, were efficient, pleasant and careful with everything. I've used Your Hometown Mover several times now. They're always communicative and fair priced. This time my crew was Dean, Keith, and Elijah. They called me morning of when they were on their way, were right on time. They moved me in under two hours! Great crew - extremely respectful of my stuff and the buildings. They wouldn't let me lift a finger. They were very nice and also funny. Happy to have gotten these three this time.

We used Hometown Movers when we moved to Albany in 2018, and I forgot to leave a review. 5 stars all around. It was one of the best decisions we'd made regarding the move. They did the job well and fast, and were always helpful and professional. They didn't break anything. Worth every penny. We've recommended them to all our friends since then.

Sandra Alfonso was the account manager for our job. From the very beginning, she provided excellent customer service. Informative, helpful and extremely prompt with all requests. She coordinated everything beautifully. The 3 men who did the loading of our already packed boxes, along with some furniture were polite, careful, and consulted with me throughout the process to make sure I was in agreement with their decisions on how to pack the 4 U-Haul Boxes we had in the driveway. Their names are Jacob Davis , Kamar Davis, Wesley Potter. I would not hesitate to hire them again!

From start to finish, a real class moving service and experience. After seeing the horrible reviews of national lines and getting quoted up the wazoo for a move from NY to SC, I stumbled on Your Hometown Mover - and THANK THE LORD! Sandra A. was so responsive, helpful and worked with me on the best moving cost scenario. The movers - Harvin, Wes and Ed on the first leg were very professional and courteous. Harvin eased all concerns, was very affable and friendly. The team's time management during the move was perfect without rushing. On the move into storage in SC, Matt, Jeremiah and Darryl were equally efficient. Matt made sure everything was managed well and all items placed expertly into the storage unit. This is my first ever Google review and this firm deserved it.
