Really enjoyed the crab cake salad special today while visiting my son! Crab cakes were excellent and the salad featured avacado, cucumbers, tomatoes, romaine, onion, and a nice light dressing. Highly recommend this place. Tell em Dave sent ya!

Smoked Turkey panini was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The hanger steak sandwich they do is really good too. Definitely recommend the grilled potato salad for a side. Employees are friendly this is my go to in New Paltz for something quick and easy.

Anytime I come into Main Course for lunch, I enjoy the food and the warm atmosphere. Everybody behind the counter is so nice and service is very quick. Lots of delicious and creative choices to try.

Great food at very reasonable prices. We had French Vanilla Hot Chocolates, dinner plate specials Salmon and Pork Loin, and for dessert, Hazel Chocolate, Coconut Raspberry Cheesecake, a chocolate walnut cookie, and a chocolate on chocolate chip cookie. All were delicious and beautifully presented. In fact the photos don't do them justice. They were also reasonably priced, at $18 for each entree, I think $3 for cookies, and $7 or less for desserts. I forgot how much the hot choc was. There is no table service, you order at the counter, and pick up food from the counter when you are called. You drop your own trash and dishes, as pictured. Nice place to sit and eat, tastefully decorated with a lighter, brighter main dining area, and a more dimly lit dining area near the counter. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Just incredible food and amazing daily specials. Main Course is located in a small town but has huge flavors and is a fantastic restaurant by any standard. We've been here multiple times over several years, the freshness of ingredients and culinary execution are at the highest levels and has been amazingly consistent.

Main Course is the most professional, knowledgeable, experienced and delicious choice for your wedding caterer. We are so glad we chose them to cater our wedding at Handsome Hollow in June.

They counsel and provide advice during every phase of your wedding planning. They are there to answer every single question you may have! They provide a massive menu of drink selections, hors d'oeuvres, first course, entrees and desserts to chose from. They also let you customize anything!

In addition, they provide a phenomenal tasting experience! They let you sample all of your selections and simply wine and dine you. The are their to ensure you love everything and are willing to make changes based on your tastes and preferences! They are also there to talk about every detail of your wedding from your day-of schedule to what your "Welcome Refreshment" will be/where it will be served, if you would like a Private Moment as a couple right after your ceremony, your introduction/wedding party introduction, toasts, your first dance as a couple, parent dances, cake cutting, rentals that they coordinate on your behalf (taking care of linens, extra cocktail tables, plates, silverware, high chairs etc and any other items you may need). They iron out EVERY detail for you and even provide a timeline to work from!

I also need to praise the Private Moment - this was suggested by MC and essentially gives the Bride and Groom a few minutes alone together to enjoy some hors d'oeuvres and a cocktail and just reflect on becoming husband and wife right after the ceremony ends. THIS WAS WONDERFUL. This was one of the best things about our wedding - just being able to have those few moments alone to take it all in and EAT some phenomenal food! MC had everything prepared for us in advance and ready!

Their staff is the most attentive and professional. They truly were our favorite vendor and the one most vital to our wedding day having been so flawless. During the planning process, Amanda, was an absolute rockstar in communicating with me, answering my million questions and even coordinating rentals, setting up the tasting with my parents, sister, and my husband, creating our timeline, seating chart, and overall floor plan for our reception. She truly is brilliant and an expert at what she does. Emily was MVP on the day of the wedding. She was there for my groom and I to make sure we were not without a drink and that we were able to share a split plate with both of our entrees, and enjoy all of our desserts! She was always checking in with us and coordinated a million things so wonderfully with the owners of our venue. Literally the dream team! The entire MC team is amazing. Truly the servers and bartender were so attentive and polite.

Last but not least, the food is just the best. It's so fresh, so delicious and beautifully served. MC sources the highest quality local ingredients. It was the most magical culinary experience and tons of our guests told us that our food was the best they have ever had at any wedding.

I could seriously go on and go. Just hire MC for your wedding. What are you waiting for?

The place is not a hidden gem since the town is A must stop on your drive to Catskills. Trust me don't to the rest areas on the highest unless u r in a real rush and enjoy a fresh meal at this place. The crab sandwich was fresh and delicious. The grilled potatoes were awesome. They were kind enough to ask if I wanted to replace the potatoes with a fresh salad which I did and loved it. Fresh brews of coffee top up the fare and the beautiful views from their large window seats provide the perfect setting for a nice comforting meal. Ready to hit the road again 😁. Fresh ingredients are what sets this place apart and the team that runs the place is it's lifeline. Clean restrooms and fresh clean dining space is a delight. Innovative menu that keeps adding regular specials will keep u wanting to try it again and again. The coffee sources are organic. Try mixing two flavors to create ur own combo. The miso soup is awesome and a must have don't miss it. having said all that, don't fill yourself since the desserts are a whole new story. I'lleave the pictures to let u decide the desserts 😁

The food was delicious. I ordered the Mezze Plate which was a mediterranean salad with falafel, tabouli, and hummus. It's a vegetarian dish that they were able to make vegan for me. The staff is friendly and professional.

One of my most favorite places to go. Their specials are usually what draws me in but their steak sandwich and veggie burger are delicious. Any time I want a salad I come here their make your own salad is everything!

We're visiting and decided to stop here for dinner because the food sounded fresh and local. Delicious meals for the price, and you order at the counter and seat yourselves, which makes it a more casual dining experience. The portions were on the smaller side (perfect for me, but not quite large enough for my boyfriend), so you night want to order an extra side or dessert if you're getting a salad or a light protein (we had swordfish).

I loved my time at Main Course. The food tasted so fresh AND healthy that I'd consider traveling to New Paltz just for that experience. Thank you for your excellent service.

REALLY good food overall, and lots of vegetarian/vegan options, this spot is a winner. The eggplant Parm sandwich with potato salad is a favorite!

Restaurateur Bruce Kazan's establishment is a New Paltz landmark. Having attended his themed dinner series, we can't wait to go back to explore the wonderfully eclectic menu, as well as the marketplace, which has a tantalizing array of products to inspire home chefs and bartenders alike.

The food is amazing. The menu is rarely the same twice. All seasonal food, all locally sourced. Reasonably priced for the gourmet quality it is. Portions are generous. Even dessert and coffee were amazing. It had a chic feel but it's quaint and country-like at the same time. Outdoor seating was a nice touch. A real gem.
