New Paltz Indian Restaurant

Why would anyone rate this other than 5 stars is beyond me. The food was amazing and the service was great. Indians are not your chirpy happy joy joy type of people, right off the back, but if you treat them with respect, they will treat you with respect and will go above and beyond. So, don’t rate their restaurant because they didn’t roll the red carpet on you. It’s a cultural thing and if you really like Indian food, then you should know their culture. My family and I are visiting from down south and we going to go back to this place before we leave. The food is amazing and you won’t regret it.

Great food! Affordable prices! Fast and friendly, attentive service in a simple clean and quiet space. Family owned. Surprised it is not more crowded. A hidden gem of place. Our favorite place in New Paltz.

Went here May 22nd. Wish I had gone here sooner esp since I live close by. It's a hidden gem honestly. Great service. The waiters would check if you thought the food was good or if you needed anything else. Loved that there was outdoor seating. I ordered the Chicken Dildar with Naan and a Mango Lassi. Very tasty! And plentiful to boot. Had enough for a meal the next day. I honestly can't wait to go back!

Absolutely top quality Indian food and service. Thanks for sticking with this community for so many years, we are lucky to have you. I had the Chicken Tikka Massala and it may be the best one I have ever had, with something a little different that I cant pinpoint but certainly appreciate.

Great food here, some of the the best Indian food I have had. The prices are pretty fair here. I recommend the lamb vindaloo, either chicken or coconut samosas. They also have good desserts and mango lassi. If you're looking for good food that's not run of the mill, this is the place.

Our Nan plain was a little burnt, but everything else was delicious!!!

The food here is exquisite, the owners and staff are warm and delightful. Some of the best food I’ve ever tasted.

The food was excellent and the staff is very accommodating, bring your own wine is an excellent idea.

Cant rave enough about the lamb tikka, chicken korma and tikka masala. Of the many indian places I go in the Hudson Valley, this is my favorite. Nice folks serving. Not lavish. Just awesome.

Came upon this place looking for a Dine-in spot due to traveling. I was pleased with everything that was ordered Especially my one my top fave indian dishes saag. I visited this place twice in one week times.

I have brought family members both times and each time they feel in love with the flavors, setting , cleanliness, and service.

I will be back for sure. As I plan on setting up business lunches and they have the right setting for indoor and out door for such.

This was a nice place with tasty food! I had the mixed grill. The chefs special soup was very good!

I am so grateful that New Paltz Indian Restaurant not only makes delicious, authentic Indian food but that they allow people to bring their own container. I am posting a photo of our stainless steel container called a tiffin that is used all over India! Compare that to the plastic bags of single use packaging in the background also awaiting pick up!

The food here was SO GOOD! I love Indian food and I always enjoy it but if I lived closer to here this would be my go to place.

Always delicious and exotic. Consistent quality. Great deal for the price. Only problem, 'all you can eat' means you may overindulge.
We go here a couple time a year in the summer.

We love this place! The various breads are delish. The Mushroom Shaag is SO good. We tried the Dal Mahkani lastnight, too. Excellent flavors and excellent prices! It's BYO wine & beer too, which makes it's a very affordable dinner out!

I can't really say about atmosphere, because we had take-out. But the food was very good. It was hot and fresh when I came to get it. We had assorted Pakora, Chicken Korma, Tandoori Chicken, Saag Paneer, and Lamb Rhogan. The whole family was very happy and satisfied!

Consistently good, tasty food. Always hot (temp) when we arrive for pick up, and the spice level is perfect.

Have only ever gotten take-out so cannot comment on the dining-in experience.

The food here is fresh and authentic. You cannot go wrong. My favorite is the lamb vindaloo. Really delicious! As for service, it could be a bit better, but it seems family owned. They're very nice. I definitely recommend it!

Food was delicious . Friendly and kind staff. Very clean environment.

We stopped by while going & returning back from lake george . Very good food. Reasonable price . We had muglai paratha.. which is good (not like kolkata food). We had breads & other standard dishes. Recommended this one for any kind of Indian food.
