Hagar's Harbor Bar & Restaurant

I have been visiting the Catskill Area for many years and have just found out about this place . It is truly a hidden gem! Great Food and a very cool place, it reminded me of Cladios out east on Long Island.

Very nice find. Enjoyed good food and atmosphere.

Food was great, quite a selection on the menu and very reasonably priced. Music was fantastic, thunder ridge always gives a great performance. Needs more boat slips. Tried going by boat 3 times with no luck, decided to drive this time. Will definitely go back. Would be nice to have entertainment on a Saturday evening also.

First of all our waitress ( older blonde woman, sadly I do not remember her name) was FANTASTIC! I’m not a seafood person but my love is, crab dip was amazing and the chips were PERFECT, bacon mac and cheese was very good, fish and chips were very good ( even I tried a piece), hamburger was good but the fries could not compare the the chips with the crab dip and the spicy chicken soup was great. Highly recommend

Upon entry we were informed by the bartender the kitchen is backed 30 minutes outside is an open table with menu's. The bartender came out multiple times with out addressing us.. we sat and witness her addressing other customers as they walked away disappointed. We would of liked to of had a drink while we waited for our to be taken.. we waited 20 min then left!! Terrible your loosing customers..

The French Dip was so awesome! And so was our waitress, Marianne!!!! The Second Chance Band Rocked Great! The fresh coffee after our meal was probably right up there with the best I have ever had♡ Also......the staff was all so very friendly

Enjoyed my 34th birthday dinner here last night. The food was tasty, and nice and hot. The view of the river from the deck was just so lovely. The girls waiting tables were very friendly.

Sometimes you just need to go to the river and have a burger and a beer today was one of those days. The burger which was cooked to my liking was delicious served on a pretzel bun, the fries were reminiscent of five Guys, fresh cut and hot. Perfect Riverside lunch!

This place is such a gem. I live in New York City. We are visiting in an Airbnb. Found this as the nearest place for food. Didn’t expect anything and was blown away. Julie (the waitress) is so amazing. The music on Sunday is 80s rock classics, they’re spotless! The playlist for our trip! The food is spectacular. We got burgers, fish and chips, chips and salsa, chicken wings. The portions are huge. Come on Sunday for an amazing time.

Love the food, the view, and the staff is very friendly. Great place to eat and on sundays during the summer they have amazing bands. Management is on point and always customer focused. High suggest especially for weddings and partys.

Grilled Oyster appetizer, rich and delicious. The Sea Scallop Skewer appetizer came with three jumbo scallops, wrapped in a smoky crisp bacon, rendered perfectly. The scallops are cooked to perfection, tender and sweet. The Scottish Salmon is perfect. High quality protein, pan seared--cooked and seasoned to perfection with a beautiful crispy skin. And their bar tenders make a very nice mojito too!

Joe does a great job with Hagars. The food is always top quality. I can't say enough about the bar maids and waiters.
Remember how Covid hurt these people financially. Be generous with your tips ! You are supporting people that are working instead of living off the government.
A EXTRA $10 BUCKS DOESNT HURT ANYBODY !

Food was good! Our server Nicole was great! Glad to see such an iconic place in the area completely rejuvenated, and still maintaining that hometown feel!

Had a wonderful experience at Hagar's Harbor. The staff was excellent. I've eaten there a couple times. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends

A nice tavern right on the water. We sat at the outside patio. Friendly staff, quick service and very clean. We didn't eat, but will be back to try the prime rib.

This Place is a Hidden Gem in the Catskill Area! Manager takes the time to Personally make sure everyone is happy. The Place and the View are AMAZING !

Great food, friendly wait staff and great views of the River for outdoor dining. Highly recommend checking them out.

As someone who has enjoyed the newly reopened Hager Harbor restaurant several times recently,I take offense reading that disgraceful review from an obvious disgruntled ex employee posing as a customer..This great restaurant is managed by a well educated ,customer caring,business savvy gentleman named,Dennis.He has seemed that all of the food served is fresh,great tasting and up to his customer's satisfaction.If not,he is the first one to see that it is taken care of immediately..He will,and does offer to discount or give a free dessert or cocktail to make good on a slight..I have been shocked to read such a spiteful review on here when So many repeat customers keep coming back again and again..Funny that a review was written about a restaurant with so much Inside Information ......Hope the owner seen thru that ....Thank you Hargar Harbor for reopening for all of us to continue to enjoy...
