The Team at Motto & Sons Roofing & Construction did a GREAT job on our roof and gutter replacement! Josh was a pleasure to work with and the communication was AWESOME! His guys are top notch and extremely courteous! They were careful of my property, gazebo, landscaping and took time to clean up after themselves. The entire process of dropping of shingles, roof installation, clean up and gutter installation was professional and prompt! I would definitely work with Motto Sons again in the future!!!

Josh and his crew replaced 7 buildings/14 roofs for our condo homeowners in July 2023. Josh himself was exceptional with the personal touch to deliver the estimate rather than email a quote. He met with the officers, explaining his approach to the project, materials and warranty programs. He went above and beyond to help us calculate the appropriate fair share of homeowner expense on shared roofs. And I can't say enough about his team of workers - perhaps the hardest working 14 member team I've ever seen from any team or contractor for a homeowner project. Scheduling was impeccable and each day's planned work was completed like clockwork. Josh wrapped up the project same way he started - in person and was there with the last man of the crew on site to oversee final clean up detail. When the truck pulled out, you would have never guessed 7 buildings/14 homeowner roofs had been replaced. Exceptionally well planned and carried out. I can and do confidently endorse Josh and Motto & Sons for your roofing and construction project.

They took our foreclosure that needed one of everything and two of most and were able to fit our budget if we let them work at their speed. Work was flawless and they worked closely with the city to resolve the code violations from the former owners.

Highly recommend Motto & Sons! They did an amazing job on our roof, siding and gutter replacement. Josh and his team were very helpful in design options and took the time to answer all my questions. We had an issue with the roof leaking before the job could be started and they came out the next morning to patch until the roofing supplies were available. They completed the job quickly and cleaned up all debris. Josh the owner was onsite for a lot of the project and checked in to make sure the design was correct as the crew completed. We could not be more happy with how our house turned out it is exactly how I described it to them.

I have a residence built in 1938 with a flat roof. Josh and his team did a fantastic job of old roof removal and expert installation of a modern new roof. Josh Motto is such a great person to work with. His crew does their job in a very professional way. I was amazed at how well protected my landscaping and lawn was during the roofing and afterwards everything was all cleaned up so well. The crew was very thorough in making sure everything was done well and according to my satisfaction. Roof tear off, gutter replacement, added ridge vent, removed fireplace vent from basement and patched the hole… Plus they cleaned up the debris incredibly well. Super to work with, on time and on budget earned a 100% satisfied customer!

I went with Motto & Sons because their roofing crew works directly for them as their employees. Plus, there is an on-site Foreman who supervises the work. Top quality workmanship plus they managed the project well through several periods of rain and snow over a few days. They did not uncover more than they could install during these periods. Final product looks great, as do the new gutters and gutter topper. Would definitely use them again.

Motto & Sons was excellent to work with. I had my roof get damaged due to a hail storm. I know nothing about roofs and felt mine looked fine. After all my neighbors started having their roofs replaced, I figured I should have it inspected. My insurance company said it needed to be replaced and I now was on a time crunch due to my insurance requirements. (Had to be replaced in under two months from when they inspected, six months after the storm).
Josh came out and did an estimate the day after I called looking to get one. (I had others tell me to do nothing, a couple that wouldn't have had time to do it, one flat out said no due to the pitch and various ridges).
Josh and I spoke about different materials and went with his recommendation for a more durable shingle that stands up to hail much better. His pricing was right in line with that from the insurance company and a couple of the other companies who wouldn't have been able to compete the job in time.
Materials were dropped off two days (Friday) after the estimate with Motto & Sons. They moved a couple jobs around and were at my house the following Tuesday; able to complete the job in just four days. Plenty of time before my insurance deadline. The roof looks excellent, and they did a thorough clean up.

Josh worked with my Insurance Claims adjuster to assess our hail damage and gave us a prompt quote. All the work was done on-time with very minimal follow-ups from my side. He was also very flexible with payment arrangements. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Fox Valley area instead of signing with out-of-town storm chasers since you will have peace of mind knowing that a local contractor is available to contact for any issues down the road.

Motto and sons did a great job replacing our shingles. They responded to our call and were quick to give an estimate. They arrived when they said and quickly got to work. Once the job was done, they did a good clean up and answered all our questions. We would definitely recommend them.

Motto & Sons Roofing & Construction was the best choice we could have made to replace an old roof and gutters After meeting with several local roofing companies, Motto provided the best analysis of our home, insightful recommendations, and a perfect installation. We could have spent a little less, but you get what you pay for. 100% worth every penny.

From the first meeting, Josh was very knowledgeable and honest. Since we wanted new rain gutters, Josh offered a couple fascia options to replace our ugly, old painted fascia, including a composite material, which we chose--WINNER!! Looks great and maintenance-free. The gutters are the larger capacity style and also look great.

Motto offered plenty of roofing shingle styles and colors, and even helped with recommendations. We were able to view recent projects completed by Motto & Sons that used the colors we were considering. This was very helpful.

The work crew was wonderful--yes, wonderful. A large crew came on tear-off day and got the job done. All the crew were professional, tidy, and pleasant. It was obvious they took pride in their work. Never found a single nail or piece of trash left behind.
