Lakeview House

My family brought me here for my birthday...It was truly a great experience!! The food was absolutely fantastic, the view was breathtaking and the service was exceptional.

Appetizer, Main Course and Dessert were 10/10. I definitely will be returning!!

Our stopover for lunch in this quaint beautiful restaurant overlooking lake orange. We had the baked sole stuffed with maine lobster, spinach & Parmesan cheese topped with white lemon sauce. Delicious and went perfectly with a chilled glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.

I can't say enough about our service and the food we experienced last night! I only wish I arrived earlier to experience the beautiful views before darkness set.
Everything from the Sicilian seafood chowder, to main entrees to the finale of Mudd Pie were beyond any culinary experience I've had recently.
Our waiter, Daniel, and all other staff we encountered were exceptional in supplying amazing service and making us feel like we were their only customer, when they had their hands full. Job well done!
I highly recommend the Lakeview House and we will definitely be making the trip back again one day.

I was very pleased with my dining experience at Lakeview House. I had my birthday dinner here with my family and we were greeted with exceptionally professional, friendly, and caring service. Our waitress (did not get her name) was very accommodating.

We arrived at around 6:20pm, close to sundown. It’s absolutely beautiful sitting outside by the lake at sundown.

I ordered the baby back ribs as an appetizer and the shrimp antibiose. I wasn’t too crazy about the ribs (a little too porky for me) but the shrimp antibiose was delicious!!! The shrimp were HUGE! The sauce was buttery and creamy and the linguine was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend having a special dinner here!

A wonderful place to dine! The food is wonderful along with a host of wonderful presenters. I highly recommend dining here wholeheartedly.

I used to frequent this established once a week for many years and then after changing jobs I haven’t been down in a few years and was happy to find out that everything was still fantastic!
Four of us went to dinner we arrived a little early after we found a parking spot we had a cocktail at the bar we were seated at the table by where I requested it. We ordered our appetizers We had Escargo, crabcakes, ribs all delicious.
Are Entrées consistent of Stuffed sole short ribs, shrimp and blue cheese crusted filet mignon. Drinks were fantastic dinner was hot dessert was delicious! Server Gloria was attentive!
Overall a wonderful evening out with friends delicious food wonderful atmosphere overall excellent experience thank you Lakeview house for always being consistent.

An all-time favorite one that you might have forgotten about they've been there forever but COVID came and many of our beautiful restaurants that have been here for years of closed thankfully this one hasn't. The food is incredible The staff makes you feel like a king or a queen The atmosphere of the lake is simply beautiful. If you forgotten you need to remember whether you're celebrating a birthday baby shower bridal shower engagement or just want to go out for a special meal with a loved one maybe just go all by yourself because you won't be alone everybody's so friendly you'll feel like you're at home.

What a gem! I know this place has been around a long time but I had never been. We had a group of about 20 people there today for lunch. Mary was friendly, knowledgeable and served us quickly. The food was fabulous and the mudd pie super yummy. I suspect that in the summer sitting outside lakeside is just perfect. It’s a little off the beaten path but worth the visit.

My mother and I were visiting from Georgia and we really enjoyed our experience here! The restaurant is lovely and has a great atmosphere, the staff were all very kind and the food was absolutely amazing! The view from the restaurant is gorgeous as well. I definitely recommend Lakeview House to anyone who is looking for a fine dining experience in the area!

Want a delicious dinner with an amazing waterfront view, but not in the mood to endure the energy of the Hudson River front? This serene Lakeside restaurant offers a huge menu with so many options for food and drink. The duck breast from Long Island is absolutely outstanding. It’s cooked perfectly and the sauces are delicious time after time. Try the short ribs for a decadent treat. Oysters Rockefeller are a temporary special, so get there ASAP while they are on the menu. Some of the most delicious we have ever had. Their escargot is also one of the most wonderful we’ve had in years. The Key lime pie is great with delicious crust.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary last night and were pleased from start to finish. The service was on point. We were seated immediately despite being 10 minutes early for our reservation. The food service was timely but not rushed. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer and loved it. The highlight of the night was the baked cod that I ordered from the specials. It literally melted in my mouth. This was the first time in years that I went to a restaurant and enjoyed a meal from start to finish. Would definitely go back.

The view is PERFECT! Something about eating by the lakeside is so calming and relaxing. Maybe the caramel appletini relaxed me a lil too ☺ it was so good I guzzled it! Cranberry mule was yummy too..The calamari was different then anything I’ve ever had.. it was so lightly breaded to perfection and the fra Diablo sauce paired perfectly. We also tried the buratta with toasted bread and tomatoes.. yummy! My favorite is the French onion soup! Salads were Good.. their balsamic is very tasty.. for dinner I had braised short rib (so tender) with fries (so crispy) and my friend had the spinach and cheese stuffed sole with rice pilaf..she enjoyed hers

Great place, quiet, and great view of the lake. Food was excellent. Highly recommend their coffee drinks from their dessert menus to finish the night.

Great food and atmosphere. Beautiful views of Orange Lake. Gorgeous sunset. Outdoor patio. Reservations highly recommended. Braised short ribs a favorite. Loved the salmon, New York strip looked good, fresh bread, Bliss potatoes were yummy. Desserts delicious.

Wanted to get here years ago and finally made it last night! So worth the wait! Beautiful views ! Service was excellent!! The duck was to die for!!! Perfectly cooked with crispy skin and meat not greasy!! Other food was filet mignon and ahi Tuna it was superb!!!

Beautiful restaurant in an historic building. Enjoyed a bottle of wine on the patio overlooking the lake. We were there for a dinner with the Mid Hudson Food & Wine Society. Fantastic!!🍷😊

Wonderful experience last night. Food and ambiance were great. The pork chop special with fig sauce was exemplary. Sunset perfect. Service was very good, friendly and informative. Beer on tap good choices. Busy but good spacing on tables so did not feel packed in. Nice outside fire pit. Parking is tight but can park across street on sidesteps.

The restaurant was so good, the staff was very nice and welcoming, started with the flatbread and it was the best I’ve had. The steak tho, the flavor of the steak the taste was excellent, it didn’t need anything on top i was so pleased with it.

Amazing restaurant with beautiful views of the lake. We rented out the back room for our rehearsal dinner and the views did not disappoint. Night ended with a bright pink sunset over the lake. Our servers were amazing as well - couldn’t have asked for a better night!

Conner our server is FANTASTIC. His service was swift, informative but most importantly patient and kind. He made us feel like family. He also went above and beyond to make my son smile and we are so grateful for his attentiveness and professionalism. If you do eat at this historic and wonderful restaurant I hope you have the privilege to be served by Conner. He also makes a fabulous cosmo per my mother. Lastly all the staff was amazing. I highly recommend lake view house and wish the staff all the best. We will be back next year!
