Spillway Lodge

The shrimp trio was very good. My friends all had different cuts of steak which they raved about. Also had fried mozzarella cheese sticks, which were 2 thumbs up. The salad bar was stupendous and I don't really eat a lot of salad.

We drove right by the Lodge because it looks like a house not a lodge. There is signage, however. Once we were inside the main dining area, it captures the essence of an old lodge. Wood beams and fireplace. I'm sure this is very romantic at dusk or for a late dinner, but it doesn't feel like that during the day when it's well lit. When we walked in, it smelled like my grandma's house, so this place has obviously been here and been successful for a long time.

What this place offers is OUTSTANDING seafood and pretty good service for the cost.
The Tilapia and Shrimp Scampi was spectacular. Salmon and Shrimp were also delicious. He chose the bourbon glaze on the side. It was a nice addition.
The filets were huge. Cooked perfect and on beds of rice pilaf.
The shrimp scampi wasn't overwhelming garlicky, which most restaurants usually overkill. You could taste the shrimp, which I enjoy.
The salad bar was pretty varied and offered a good selection of mostly fresh options. (The broccoli was soft, but other than that, no complaints.)
Appreciated the good service. Shout out to Angi.
There is a view of the spillway, so I'm sure in the spring and fall seasons, the view would be amazing.

Very nice restaurant. A little dated in design, but still looks great. The most important thing is that the food tastes incredible. The steak was cooked exactly as I asked. Relatively short wait time, and staff was all very nice, and put waitress checked on us often. Definitely worth a visit.

The food was amazingly delicious and fresh. The staff was awesome and the bartender was on point. Now the area where it's located is so peaceful and relaxing, just give you that southern country feeling. 💯❤

Was looking for a new place to try out and Googled “hidden gem restaurants near me” and Spillway Lodge showed up. Truly a hidden treasure. The decor was so adorable and cozy. The food was so delicious and you get SO much of it. Our server was an angel and took great care of us. And the peanut butter pie? Amazing ❤

Great off the beaten path restaurant. The Ribs had great flavor, were very moist and the meat pulled off the bone easily. The Shrimp were cooked perfectly. The carrots tasted very good but were a little softer than I like. That being said, I'd order them again because of the flavor. I also had their salad bar. It's a great salad bar and easy to get to much. The price was fair considering the great meal I had. Get there early because this place gets busy and the wait will get long. I will definitely be going back.

First time here. Great place to visit, atmosphere was inviting and the food was delicious. Everyone was happy to help and with a smile. Can’t wait to go back.

I wrote a small review in 2020 giving the Spillway Lodge a Five Star rating, but this did no justice to the food they serve.
First the Spillway is a working farm and this adds to the nostalgic feel you get as you are driving down the long driveway to the restaurant, like going to grandma’s house. The decor looks like the 70’s but this add’s to the comfy at home feel. The staff is very welcoming, and excellent in all they do.
The chef’s are incredible, the Prime Rib whether grilled or baked has no equal. The Ribeye will make you walk home with a big smile on your face. The homemade desserts, awesome!!! If you are in the area, or just passing through, stop by you won’t regret it.

Had their roughy platter with grilled shrimp. It was properly done and served fast. Salad bar had a solid selection. The best part was the dessert - a slice of pie which was simply heavenly. The food coupled with the rustic setting away from town and friendly service makes this a solid choice if you're in the area.

Prime rib was excellent! Tender and flavorful! Fillet had a nice grill flavor. Great dirty martinis. Salad bar with all dinners. Great food for a reasonable price! Hidden gem 💎

What a great little place. Only two miles away from the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington overlooking the spillway leading to a small lake. Chickens were pecking in the yard it wasn't too crowded. The food was tasty although a bit on the pricey side. Kiah really went out of her way to serve us. There's grilled cheese sandwich's for the kids and steak for mom and dad. If interested in a leisurely time, check it out. Enjoy the view of the spillway.

Very good food and atmosphere. In town again and always looking forward to a great meal and great service.

The food was great and our waitress was awesome. It was so good I even ate my carrots. It has a cozy comfortable atmosphere. If we find ourselves back in this area we will definitely stop again.

Sister's birthday dinner was delightful. the server Nick kept drinks full and served at 15 of is fantastic!

This place is super cool with the views of the spillway! I got the Ribeye, baked potato and salad bar. Salad bar has great potato salad, everything was so good!! My first visit! I’ll be back!

Always great food and great service. Have been here several times over the last few years. Also very generous portions of food!

Very cozy and well decorated atmosphere, waitress was very friendly. Barbecue pork chops were the best ever. Salad bar was included with the dinner. Like how there was horse barns nearby like it was walking into a friend's house to eat.
