My wife and I with our two daughters went here to celebrate my oldest daughters birthday. My daughter chose to eat at this restaurant after hearing great reviews from friends. This was our first experience with a French restaurant. Our diner reservation was at 5:30 on a Wednesday but honestly we did not need one at that time, we had the place to ourselves. We decided to try the Charcuterie appetizer with both cheese and meat. It was a great start! It also came with some French bread, pickled onions and sweet pickles. For our entrees I had the Cordon Bleu, my wife had the Orange Chicken, my oldest had the Beef Bourguignon and my youngest had a simple cheese burger with fries. We all shared a bite of each others dish and I must say everything was perfect! My Cordon Bleu was light and crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside, delicious with the Dijon mustard and Smashed Potato. My wife's Orange Chicken was a gamble for her when she ordered (there wasn't a good description) it but she loved it and said she would definitely order it again. It was a seasoned blackened chicken breast covered with a orange sauce, reminded me of an orange marmalade. My oldest daughter's Beef Bourguignon was a pretty thick beef stew with a uniquely delicious flavor. Even my youngest daughter's burger and fries was delicious, the fries were extra crispy and in my opinion perfect. All and all what started as a different place to try turned into a great experience that we will be returning to. Also I can't leave this review without saying that Lili (our server) was top notch. Thanks Lili for taking good care of our table!

Real French cooking with an eclectic atmosphere. It reminds me of being in Europe combined with the way my grandmother cooked. If you get a chance to save room for the mousse, it's to die for.

Love this little gem in the heart of downtown Milford. We were planning on The Governor, but after looking at their unappealing menu, since I'm a picky eater, we walked by and saw this place instead. So glad we did and we will definitely be back, especially to try dinner, dessert, and wine! My husband had the goat cheese and honey burger and I had the Brie burger. Wagyu beef patties and oh so yummy! The French decor, music, and great service only added to the ambience! Love this place!

Holy this place is yummy! We had reservations and we were seated immediately. Our food did not disappoint. 6 of us plus a toddler and we all shared our food. Consensus was our favorite dishes were the scallop risotto and the cordon Blu. But in all reality every dish was so good! Coming back very soon!

Dining at Chez Renee was a pleasure. Milford is quickly growing, and the amount of dining establishments is rapidly increasing as well. I'm so glad we decided to stop in and give Chez Renee a try (we for no good reason tend to always pass this gem by but not now).
We were seated immediately. The wait for table service was not unreasonable given it's a small establishment with a small staff. The waitress' recommendations were excellent. The food was amazing, fresh, and clearly prepared with care. We left dinner and decided to visit the bar next door. Once again was not disappointed and pleasantly surprised. The drinks and drinks menu was good. The bar was tender by the server and owner. We had a lovely conversation with them both and an overall wonderful evening. Chez Renee is charming, has quality food and service, and is now definitely on our top list of restaurants to frequent. I wish I would have taken pictures to post.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Food was fantastic! Both my wife and myself were excited to try new flavors and we were not let down. Food was excellent and we were far from hungry when we left! Will we be returning? Absolutely!

Had dinner at Chez Renee. We started out with the charcuterie board appetizer and a cocktail. My friend had the scallop risotto. Cooked perfectly and the scallops were buttery and a little sweet. I had the beef bourguignon with the side of gratin potatoes or the pot o grat. The beef is wagyu and so tender you can cut it with a spoon. The sauce is bursting with a rich hearty flavor and is perfect to soak up in their dense chewy bread. The chocolate mousse was dense, not overly sweet, with lots of rich chocolate flavor. Our server was very friendly and helpful and answering our questions to make our choices. We went out to celebrate our birthdays and this was a wonderful meal for our celebration. We'll definitely go back.

Many wonderful food and drink choices. I preferred ranch on my salad and it was freshly made. Servings are generous and we brought quite a bit home. Good service and friendly staff.

In reading some of the negative reviews I was wondering if we have even been in the same place. We have been here twice this year for dinner with friends (4 of us once, 6 the other time) and both times everything was excellent in all aspects. The waitresses Angela & Piper were top-notch. Very prompt and attentive as well as personable. Very knowledgeable about the menu items and offered some helpful suggestions. The breads were perhaps the best we've ever had anywhere. All our meals, and we each had something different, were well prepared and tasty (salmon skewer, turkey, burger. Prime ribeye, Charcuterie Plate, onion soup). A very enjoyable evenings in a nice venue. Will definitely return. P.S. to those reviewers who complain about the slowness of service. This is a restaurant, not a fast food joint so chill and enjoy the experience. If you're impatient or in a hurry go to a drive thru.

We got the goat cheese toast (which was absolutely heavenly) and charcuterie appetizer which was really good as well. We're excited to come back again.

Had a wonderful experience at chez Renee. The service, food and environment made for an unforgettable night. It was our first time here and we are already talking about how we want to come back and try more food. It was a cool night so we ate outside, our server was attentive, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

I wish I would remember to eat here more. Certainly one of the best french spots in Cincinnati. Every time I come back I find something amazing. I know it may be a side note for many, but their pickled onions that accompany the charcuterie dishes are second to none. The mushroom soup is always fantastic, perfectly accompanied with a nice piece of puff pastry. Wine list is good. Desserts tasty enough to want to call back and ask for the recipe. Cocktails are solid. Overall, I don't know why I don't come here more, always a fantastic meal. Truly one of the hidden gems in Cincinnati. I am never disappointed by this restaurant.

Stopped by to sit at their sidewalk tables . This is part of the Old Milford DORA walk . We were served bread and wine . We did not try the food . For those interested in the DORA walk there was some confusion on where the drinks are allowed . I think this will work out the longer this is in place .

Stopped by on Saturday for lunch. Friendly staff, nice decor, and a great lunch! Welcome to Milford - we look forward to coming down for dinner one evening to try an entree. BTW - chocolate mousse was fantastic.

Sad to say it took us 5 years to find this gem! However so grateful to have now experienced this local French experience complete with the French owner herself!

The atmosphere is welcoming, uplifting and clearly a reflection and tribute to their French heritage and family tree.

For appetizers we experienced the honey and goat cheese baguettes which were in line with the best I have had along other local restaurants in OTR. The Thyme was a beautiful contrasting accent.

The star of my experience was the mushroom soup served atop was a brilliantly crisp and warm puff pastry.
..... can I have a straw please!!!?! I would have buried my face in it had it been socially acceptable.

I ordered the scallops and risotto. I mistakenly missed chorizo as an ingredient and when it was served immediately regretted my decision as my natural palate does not prefer chorizo. My husband unapologetically switched me meal and boy was he happy. The Scallop dish he LOVED and compare along side his best experienced scallop dishes in Disney.

I- now full and happy from my first 2 courses managed to try the Chicken cordon-bleu my husband ordered (we switched meals). The outside was perfectly crisp. The chicken was moist and well balanced along the prosciutto and cheese. The Dijon sauce contrasted well. Certainly several steps above par!

We are eager and excited to visit Renée and staff again to experience more delight!

Do yourself a favor and do not pass them up!!!!!!
