The Plaza Hotel Milwaukee

Very cute boutique hotel! Great location within walking distance of many restaurants/shops. Parking was convenient, staff was helpful, and the room was extremely clean.

Great location, renovated rooms, super clean. Highly recommend. Great staff, easy check in and out. Parking was in back and perfect for a large vehicle. Perfect location. Loved the breakfast downstairs. Highly recommend.

Awesome place! Super cute and clean. Radiator is standard noisy but definitely works. The ceiling fan worked very well. Like any old building, walls kinda thin and could hear lots even late at night but not a bad stay and loved how friendly staff were.

The staff at the Plaza were so accommodating and kind! The room was a great space and close to Deer District. I highly recommend if you want an excellent experience.

Stayed here one night when in town for a concert. Great historic European style hotel in a very convenient part of Milwaukee. Our room was in reality a Kitchenette! Full stove, fridge, and even a dishwasher! Couldn’t believe it! So fantastic! Great value at a reasonable price. If we’re back in Milwaukee, we’re staying here. We didn’t bring our dog, but even large dogs are okay.

We stayed at the The Plaza while in town for a wedding and were blown away by our experience. It is an incredible boutique hotel centrally located in downtown Milwaukee. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with charm, comfort, and impeccable service. The Plaza Cafe is a must-do, as well. The food is fantastic and the staff is wonderful (sit outside in the courtyard, if weather allows). The guest rooms are clean, comfortable, and include awesome amenities, like full kitchens and spacious modern bathrooms. We will definitely stay at the Plaza during our next visit to Milwaukee!

My husband and I come here for brunch often! The food is spectacular and the service is great! We love sitting in the diner bar area and watch the chefs. Highly recommend any of the omelets and the brioche French toast is incredible!

In A Nutshell:

-The Plaza Hotel is a super nice place to stay while you are in MKE.
-You can tell there is a lot of history in this building, it has the old bones, but the rooms are updated to modern amenities.
-I rented a nice studio apartment, which had a comfortable king size bed, a full kitchen w/ stove, fridge, utensils, pot/pan, microwave.
-There was a small bar w/ barstools to eat off of, plus a couple chairs to sit.
-The bathroom was adequate.
-I really like the private feel of staying here w/ separate rear building entrance/exit to the parking lot.
-There are also coin-operated laundry machines which are always convenient.
-The restaurant inside the hotel is very retro & the food is really good (i.e. their breakfast & burgers).
-I also like the location of this hotel b/c there is the Metro Market grocery store right across the street to grab food & beverages.
-The neighborhood is called Lower East Side & it's very quiet.
-It's walking distance to a lot of places.

Overall, if you decide to book a stay here, I highly suggest you book out as far in advance as possible b/c this place is very popular with travelers.

Fabulous hotel. First time staying here, retro styled, newly remodeled, very comfortable room. Stayed in a premier king room. Location is very quiet and safe. A bit of a walk to restaurants and bars, but worth it since the hotel is just plain cool. Was pleased that it had such a nice mother with everything you would need, including a gas stove and large refrigerator. We'll definitely stay here again.

We did not stay at the hotel, rather we had lunch in their outdoor Cafe. The food was delicious, the setting lovely and there was a lovely breeze that was welcome given the warm temperatures that day.

Nice hotel in a old building and fully renovated. Rooms are big and includes a little kitchen. King bed and super clean bathroom.
Indeed is a 15-20 minutes walk to restaurants in the third ward, but in the other hand there’s a decent supermarket across the street with a Starbucks.
Would totally stay here again.

Very cute hotel with comfy studio apartment-type rooms. The kitchen includes all of the supplies you would need to cook a meal. There is a grocery store across the street as well, so it would be easy to pick up the food supplies needed. Parking is provided for an extra fee. The hotel still uses old fashioned keys rather than swipe cards, in case that is an issue for anyone (we did not find it problematic). There is also a great cafe in the hotel that had very tasty food and coffee. Note that some units are actual apartments with full-time residents--again, this was not an issue for us, just something we did not know prior to checking in.

Hotel is also in a safe and convenient location. It is maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the lakefront and the art museum, and we walked to Summerfest in about 20-30 minutes.

Amazing value! Prime location. Will be my new go-to hotel. Can’t recommend it enough. Free street parking if you can find it. Rooms were cozy and newly updated. We had a great time - will definitely be back. Only minus was the radiator hissed a bit but we turned it off and we’re just fine. On-site cafe had delicious breakfast as well. Our particular room came fully stocked with flatware and silverware - even came with some other kitchen utensils.

The most amazing hotel experience I’ve had. The extremely friendly staff took us in during a bad situation in an area we weren’t familiar in and made us feel safe and comfortable. The room was amazing and very updated and clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The cafe breakfast was also delicious!

Retro hotel in an ideal location. You can walk to the river Walk in under 10min. There is no a/c but you are able to open windows onto a courtyard with a nice breeze and has a ceiling fan. Very quiet location with a comfy bed to recover from a long drive from California. Service is great and good is amazing! Be sure to order ahead and take back to your room that is equipped with a kitchen!

The front desk staff was the best I've ever met -- and I've been to Norway, Portugal, Mexico, Canada, the Philippines. Both women, Lauren and Chelsey, were extremely knowledgeable in the local area, very quick to provide better solutions to my problems, and neither hesitated. Unbelievably helpful and both were life savers in this trip. Thank-you!
