Stopped here just to drown a couple worms in the river. Nothing bit but the dam was wide open so the current was rushing pretty strongly. Has a nice canoe/kayak launch, would make for a quick ride when the dam is open!

Great place to launch a river adventure. They have maps to guide your journey. Plan ahead though as the furthest destinations will take ten to twelve hours paddling leisurely.
The river at this point is ideal for kayaks as there are blockages that would make larger boats, canoes, or large kayaks difficult to navigate. If you have a larger vessel you may want to put in at Rotery.
Keep on the lookout for a Bald Eagle!

Bald #EaglesNest is representing our park., Right out on the edge of the #Park. Good thing that Mama and Papa #BaldEagle's build #nest no doubt can easily fit a dozen hatched Eaglet's. I am indeed impressed. 🦅

Great place to relax, usually not very busy. Small boat launching for kayaks and such.
