East Town Kitchen + Bar

Fine dining with a casual atmosphere. We came here for dinner on National Marquette Day after the basketball game and we're ready for a nice dinner. It did not disappoint! We were seated right away, the waiter was quick, polite, and gave great suggestions. We had a fantastic time and the food was 5 star. Recommend the shrimp & grits and brussel sprouts!

This is an amazing place to chill on a Friday night. It is an easy vibe! The service was wonderful. The food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was phenomenal. We had the most delicious cheese curds, crispy Brussel sprouts, charbroiled chicken wings and an undeniable perfect chicken sandwich and fries. They have the best cocktails also. You gotta go!!!

We stopped here for dinner and drinks, simply through a Google search. Nothing about our visit was disappointing. From the chill atmosphere to getting greeted right away to the delicious drinks and food (the menu is on the smaller side, but you can tell they perfect every item on there). Highly recommend their best chicken sandwich. Would definitely come back.

I came in on Sunday afternoon, thinking I'd just get a quick burger but saw they were serving brunch. Now, burgers were still available, but I love shrimp & grits and get it whenever I see it on a menu. I am very happy to report that their shrimp & grits was amazing. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, there was the right number of them, and the sauce on top was delicious. I'd love to come back and try more of their food.

Ok I freaking love this place. I've been 3 times In a month and plan on going back soon. Service was great. Food was delishious and I love the lettuce wraps so fresh and tasty

I love coming to East Town Kitchen! Best cheese curds that I have ever had. They have such great food! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious and kept me coming back. Shout out to Joe. He’s a wonderful waiter and helped us curate a truly phenomenal dining experience from appetizer to desert. The photos are of the Balogna Sandwich.

Good late night kitchen! Full menu until 10 and appetizers (which are the best) until 11. The drinks could have been better. But the vibe and the food was amazing! Good portions and excellent seasonings and sauces! Will definitely be back.

5 stars for the food and the service. Haley (Hailey) was a fantastic waitress! Literally the best waitress I have ever had. We kept getting bourbon and had to keep asking for prices, but she was willing to go and check the prices without hesitation and smiled all night long! Also. The hot honey is fantastic!

Had a great time. Ambience is really nice and staff was awesome. I believe a Jamie T waited on us. She was a sweetheart and super helpful with menu recommendations. The food was delicious. We absolutely loved the cheese curds which you can probably tell by how many are missing in the picture.

The cheese curds were very unique and delicious. It is a large order so great to share. Had the shrimp and grits which were delicious but a tad bit salty. Definitely would go back.

We stumbled here when we tried to go to a neighboring restaurant and were turned away for “not having a reservation” when multiple tables were empty. So happy we ended here as we had the most pleasant evening. From cocktails to food (cheese curds, beet salad and their dish fry). We were pleasantly surprised how delicious it all was, servers were attentive and super friendly.

One of the best meals I've ever had. Service was pleasant and prompt (shout out to Hayley, our excellent server). The Brussel sprouts are crisp and flavorful without being burnt, and the French onion soup is honestly one of the best soups I've ever had. The onions are so caramelized, it's almost *too* sweet. I had the burger, my partner had the chicken sandwich, and we shared half and half. Both were outrageously good. Cooked perfectly, excellent toppings and just the right amount of them on buns that were soft but held their shape. The fries were spectacular, and make sure you save room for the cookies and milk dessert. Both cocktails we had were also stellar, the classic Old Fashioned and the espresso martini. We will absolutely be back, and we were both shocked at how quiet it was on a Saturday night. This is a hidden gem.

Have been to East Town Kitchen and Bar for lunch a couple of times and for after work and weekend drinks other times. It's a comfortable place to eat drink and watch sports. Staff is friendly and pretty responsive. Happy it's downtown!

I was passing through town on a cross country road trip when I stopped by. My chicken sandwich was sooooo good. The staff was friendly. In walking distance of the public market. I recommend if you are in the area.

My wife and I had a light lunch here and it was amazing! She has the Thai lettuce wraps and I had a pretzel. Both were out of this world. They also have a killer bourbon selection.

The curds were awesome. The brussel sprouts were delicious. Spicy and salty with an Asian flair. So, so good! 🤤

We went on Friday and they had the fish fry. Fish fillets were giant. Fries were banging. A hell of a dinner.
Our waitress, Kayla was awesome. Very personable and great recommendations.

If you're a bourbon drinker the Buffalo Sour Cherry was a great cocktail. I had 2. 😄 Picture of the buffalo sour cherry attached. Didn't get any pics of the other food. Trust me, it was good looking as well as good tasting.

Very elegant but relaxed atmosphere. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the beer and food menu. Very friendly.

Deliciously prepared thai grilled chicken and veggies wrapped in lettuce. My wife truly enjoyed the double barreled hamburger. The decor and lighting just invites a person in to the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by RJ our severer Service is impeccable. RJ made us feel like family. I know we will be back to try more items on the menu.

East Town is a great bar to visit if you're looking for high quality cocktails at reasonable prices. The bartender was very professional and accommodating and the drinks were delicious. After reading a couple reviews I ordered a Buffalo Sour Cherry which was a great combination of sweet and tart. Just because this place is connected to a hotel does not mean this is a hotel bar. They have a vast selection of liquor and 24 taps available. I enjoyed the drinks and will be back for more.

What can I say about this place? How about WOW! We went there Saturday night around 8pm without a reservation and Jack, the manager said he wouldn't have anything available for at least an hour, but said we could sit at the bar. We were able to eat at the bar but he informed our party of 10 that it might take a while for the food with it being so crowded. After we ordered our food our food was at the bar in under 15 minutes and everything was hot and fresh. I had the double barrel hamburger which was amazing and a couple of bites of my sister's fried bologna slider which was amazing also. We got off to a rocky start with Jack and it was all our fault with not having a reservation and he turned it around and I am glad we stayed because it was some of the best food we had all weekend in Milwaukee and we will be back but will make sure to have a reservation. Thanks Jack for putting up with my drunk sister and our gang, we had a great time!
