Burn the Ships e-bikes is a great place to buy an e-bike. I’ve been an avid bike rider for 50 years but didn’t know where to start when I decided to purchase an e-bike. Owner Jonathan is knowledgeable and helped me decide on the right e-bike. After a day of riding my new bike I realized that a step-through design would be a better choice. Jonathan let me switch out for a better bike for my needs with no questions asked. If you are thinking about purchasing an e-bike I highly recommend Burn the Ships e-bikes.

Johnathan is extremely knowledgeable on electric bikes and the cycle industry as a whole! John took the time to go over all the pros and cons of each individual bike with me. He let me test drive multiple options until he found the best bike for my needs!

His customer service is the best I have seen! Also, if you need a bike repair, John is your man! Anyone looking for an electric bike in South Bay, there is no other place to go! Thanks John, we will be back!

Grant and Jonathan were very knowledgeable about their electric bikes. I took a loop around the bike shop going up a steep Hermosa hill for a test drive on a few of their bikes. I have tried a few electric bikes and these were superior than the ones at Strand Electric. It costs a little more but the brakes on the bikes are way better. I felt safer too.

I had a great experience with this business because the owner, Jonathan, took a lot of time to demonstrate various bicycle options and I test drove 4 difft. bikes. The shop has a large variety of brand options, probably the most of all electric bike shops that I've been to despite it not necessarily being a very large store. In terms of customer service, Jonathan was even willing to deliver the bike (I chose a Snapcycle R1) to a location more convenient for me after it was assembled because he was going to be in the area. That was very generous. The price of the bike was the same as I could have purchased online but that would require me to assemble it when delivered. While I'm capable to assemble the bike, I greatly appreciated that it was professionally assembled for me at the shop. That was a big bonus as I feel more confident with the professional assembly. Again, the customer service was great and the shop had a great selection. In fact, I specifically went to this shop which is a notable distance from my home because it was the only location that had the bike brand that I was looking for. I highly recommend Burn the Ship Electrics.

So I'll start this off by saying this shop is a great place to go check out bikes. They have a great selection of bikes and they even let you test drive them. I personally test drove four of thier bikes before I decided on the bike I actually purchased. Also, from my reseach and shopping around at other e-bike stores they basically sell bikes as close to MSRP prices as they can get.

Johnathan who helped me while I was at the shop was very knowledgable about the bikes he was selling. He told me everything I needed to know about the bikes I was test riding and he was very patient with me and was never pushy at trying to sell the bikes, which I liked very much.

Even after buying a a bike from Johnathan he was very helpful. So after I bought the bike I had taken my bike to another bike shop for a tune-up which I typically do to make sure everything is up to snuff on the bike. (Note: Burn the Ships is only an Authorized E-Bike reseller and they do not have an on site technician to look over your bikes for repairs or the sort.) And when I got my bike back from the other bike shop had broken the rear motor hub and they would not even take liability for what had happened.

This is where Johnathan and Burn The Ships really showed that they actually do care about their customer and their purchases. I called Johnathan back after my incident at the other bike and explained to him what happened. I told him I was working with the manufacturer to get my bike fixed through the manufaturer's warranty. Johanthan was very sympathetic and recommended me to another bike shop to get my bike fixed. He also told me to keep him up to date with the situation.

So after I got my bike fixed, the manufacturer told me that my bike was not covered through Warranty because I had bought it from Burn The Ships. Again, I contacted Johnathan and explained the situation. In turn, Johnathan explained that I do have a warranty on my bike and told me who to talk to get my warranty honored (the customer service personal who I was working with did not know what they were talking about), and he was right! I followed Johnathan's advice and the manufacture honored my warranty and covered the cost of repairing my bike.

All in All I highly recommend Burn The Ships. They have a great selection in bikes which you can test ride, and the customer service is top notch as they take care of you even after purchasing a bike from them. I'm definitely coming back here in the future for my next bike purchase.

The service was impeccable. The most knowledgeable e-bike shop owner I have experienced.

The bicycle mechanic was very friendly, but I was the other guy wasn't nice.
