Odell Craft BBQ was excellent and very accommodating for our school fundraiser event. The set-up was professional and elegant. Their Carolina pulled pork dinner (pulled pork, salad, and rice pilaf) was amazing! Their team of organizers (Michael and Korri) and event staff (Merilee, Natalie, Andi, and Joelle) were professional, gracious, and so kind and helpful to us. They all worked so hard to make our event successful. We highly recommend Odell's for catering any event! Thank you, Odell Craft BBQ!

The BEST bbq, my go to lunch on Fridays for the brisket sandwich🤤 also love the tri tip, mac n cheese, broccoli salad… honestly anything they make.

Always the best going to events that have Odell’s catering. Highly recommend either as a lunch on Thursday/Friday or to cater your event, they’re pros at what they do!

Odell’s is definitely the best BBQ in the Redding area! They have excellent flavor profiles with their sandwiches, I would highly recommend. The Texas Ruben was brilliant and delicious, I hope they bring it back again! The folks behind the counter are lovely and they have a passion for what they’re doing! Often times it’s quite busy, but they’re quick to serve and you don’t have to wait long. You’re going to drive pretty far to find anything better than Odell’s.

OMG The BEST BBQ in the North State hands down! In fact, I even went to Kansas City and didn't find the same deliciousness. I had the brisket sandwich it was heavenly, tear jerking, religious experience. If you are ever driving on I-5, it's a must stop. Limited hours and days of operation so if you are lucky enough to be driving through when they are open,... It's crazy good! Great service, good vibes, amazing food! If you're lucky (some may debate) enough to live in Redding, you should definitely support your local businesses and try this place out.

If anyone is looking for some AMAZING BBQ food for a special event or a wedding this is the place to get it! Odell does a fantastic job and the food is beyond amazing. My husband and I had catering done for our wedding and asked if they could work within a budget and they made it happen for us! So beyond thankful for the amazing work they did for us on our special day and the crew who brought the food also was so nice to us and asked if we needed anything else before they left and I couldn’t have thanked them enough. If you want good food and good people who go above and beyond this is the place !! We had leftovers for days !!!

Delicious tri-tip and ribs. My daughter said it was so yummy it was worth getting her face dirty. Judson is over the top in customer service and friendliness!!

Just had their food for the first time and it was so mouth watering good! They are only open for two days a week Thursdays and Fridays but it is worth it. They now have a space to sit and eat there. We tried the ribs, tri-tip, pulled pork, meatballs, and brisket of their smoked meat selection and it is hard to pick a favorite. Each one was full of flavor and so good. What impressed me most was how delicious the sides were. Usually no one can come close to my mother’s potato salad and theirs was excellent. We also had the Mac n cheese, coleslaw, rolls and broccoli salad. Everything we had I would order again. I really loved the coleslaw which is vinegar based and doesn’t have mayo in it. It pairs so well with the pulled pork. The rolls were also especially good and reminded me of the sweet rolls at Logan’s. I highly recommend you give them a try!

New to the area so I’ve been trying more local places and I think this spot just became one of my favorites. The food was really good! I had a tri tip sandwich with a side of potato salad. They do brisket on Fridays and I’m honestly considering going back tomorrow to give it a shot. Best part about this place though? The staff. Everyone there was SO friendly and fun to talk to. I love smoking BBQ myself and it they were super nice just chatting about food! The place was filled with some farmers talking about the meat industry while I was there too. It was a really cool experience and I highly recommend this place.

This is the best BBQ joint in town, hands down.

The food is great, the establishment is clean, the staffs friendly and knowledgeable, the price is on par with local BBQ. The portions are plentiful. Try the lemon bars in the fridge

IMHO, smoke rings should be fat and BBQ sauce is not required, this place checks both boxes.

Its hard to put into words how good this place is. We had the pull pork sandwich, the brisket sandwich and mac and cheese. Tasted like heaven! Not only was the staff friendly and knowledgeable you can tell the food was made and packed with care. Delicious pickles, cal-slaw and bread as well like I said everything has thought and care put into it. Hope to see more restaurants like this in the future. It has been so long since I came across such a gem!

I both dined in and had events catered by Jason and team. Their food and customer service are over the top fantastic. Having enjoyed a lot of barbecue Across the country, this is the best I have found anywhere near Redding.

Their catering team is top-notch and has catered both small and large events for me. They always come through with exactly what they say. They are going to do, on time and set very clear expectations with the day of the event is going to go. You will not regret hiring them.

I called Odell’s 2 days before a corporate event of 50 people when my caterer fell through. They made it possible to get to us even with an already packed schedule and saved our holiday celebration! The food was amazing and other than the already smoked tri-tip and chicken, everything was made right there on the spot. The setup and service were perfect, and she stayed to individually slice and serve the meats. Everyone loved the delicious and perfectly prepared meats, and so many sides and choices. I will choose them every time for any event! Thank you for saving our party, and for so much leftovers that we will all have lunches for a week!

Odell’s BBQ catered our out of town wedding in June of 2021 & are nothing short of amazing. Their food is delicious, they created a custom menu & were even able to make last minute additions to my wedding dinner when we ran into an issue with the kitchen at our venue. We met with them in person several times before the event & they always provided us with food and the owner was involved in our planning! You can’t go wrong with Odell’s; it is a gem and our favorite bbq option! The meat is cooked to perfection every time and the sides are incredible. I’ve attended many events where Odell’s was served and even the presentation of the food, the quality of the catering and the service was fantastic. Odell’s has set the bar so high that even when we travel and attempt to try other bbq, nothing quite compares.

Odell BBQ has catered at several events that I've been to around town. Consistently, I see the effort and passion that goes into providing top-notch bbq and salad entrees. Seriously though, the BBQ is outstanding and really is a product that shines through in taste and look! I always know what to expect when I see Odell BBQ on the menu, and it's no wonder they are catering at so many events nowadays!

Odell Craft BBQ is the best. Seriously THE BEST! You can't beat the quality, flavor, service and attention to detail. Their catering service is top notch and the cafe is a great place to grab lunch on a busy day. If you haven't tried Odell Craft BBQ it's time! You won't be disappointed.

Best BBQ in town. Went to Odell’s craft BBQ on Market just below Shasta across the street from Old City Hall. It opened for catering last year but this year expanded to Thurs and Fridays 11-7:00 pm eat in meals. Their food is amazing. Not the stuff slathered in BBQ sauce, though you can get it on the side. This is the real stuff. The smoked flavor is in every bite, not just the outside. I did not dip and I feel that it would just spoil the flavor. Lunch special for $19 is 1/4 pound each of smoked med rare tri tip, sliced perfectly to ensure the melt in the mouth texture. Also, 1/4 smoked pulled pork, just as tender and smoky. Sides include small crowns broccoli with pine nuts and cranberries, house made potato salad, cucumber salad and honey baked dinner rolls to die for and I am sure other sides.

The majority of their offerings are take out all the various versions of smoked meats, large quantities etc. Five stars 131 google reviews, I think all were 5 stars..

I know there was big hype about Whiskeytown BBQ when they opened last year Sunset Plaza on Buenaventura and RT 299. They don’t compare to Odell’s, more expensive, and lacking that full bodied, yet delicate smoked taste. Certainly much smaller portion than Odell’s. Reviews I saw varied from 3.5 to 4.0. Holiday Market makes a good smoked tri tip Friday & Saturday which we like but this is still so much better.

I’ve loved Odell’s bbq when I’ve had it at weddings, and always enjoyed what they make. So this year I pre-ordered their thanksgiving feast… with smoked Turkey and sides… WOW first of all everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portions size was generous and we have plenty of leftovers after feeding 10 people. Everything is made from scratch and it’s excellent. This might become a thanksgiving tradition. I don’t think I can ever go back to doing it all myself. This was hands down one of the best thanksgiving meals I’ve ever had. Also upon pick up everything was super organized and fast. They made it easy from start to finish.

Best BBQ I've had. Cook to precision in flavored just right! I also have to mention the sides. Odell Craft BBQ creates perfect combinations. My favorite is when I go to a wedding or another catered event and I see them there! Everyone gets excited.
