Pine River Lodge - Vallecito Lake

Spent the previous weekend here with absolutely gorgeous weather, views, and wonderful people. Thank thr staff for being so Accomadating to help us find our cabin in the dark. 10/10, can't recommend enough.

The mountains are gorgeous, I've basically never seen a mountain in my life cause I live in the Dallas Fort Worth metro plex, my family had fun in the snow, we had s'mores, and got to go near the lake. My dogs also had fun exploring the area. I would come here every winter if I could. 5 star winter vacation

My family absolutely loves this place! The cabins are situated in a very convenient location right down the street from the marina, restaurant, and trail heads. The staff is constantly maintaining the grounds and cleaning so everything is so well kept. It is also really ideal for families because of the playground and heated indoor pool. Highly recommend and very grateful to have stayed here multiple times!

Their cabins are the best around the lake. The owners also very friendly and accommodating. Bit pricey but they have a range of diff cabin options and prices to fit your budget. The top end cabins are super nice. They even have an indoor pool and playground for the kiddos.

The cabins are hands down the best I've stayed in. Bill was so helpful. Hope he gets the right fuel filter. The views were breath taking! The lake is so beautiful. The best close to Durango cabins. I'm definitely going to stay here again and soon!

The cabin was absolutely perfect. It was very basic but perfect if you’re looking for a clean cabin with comfortable beds, kitchen with all necessities to make a meal and wanting to spend time enjoying the local scenery. The indoor heated pool was a fun perk too. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with suggestions. We will be back for sure!! Thank you for making our winter vacation so special!!

The cabins are well taken care of and perfect for a mountain getaway. The coin laundry and indoor pool made our stay even better! But the real gems are the owners Bill and Angie. They really care about their guests and will go out of their way to help you should situations arise. We will definitely be back because of their kindness and willingness to treat everyone like family.

Originally booked online through their website (cheaper than Airbnb) and was pleased with the rate. A week later, decided to upgrade to a bigger cabin. I was able to call them and quickly get things changed over. On arrival day, we were running really late so they called to check on us, how kind! Gave us a quick run down how to get into our cabin etc. the cabin was CLEAN, cute and cozy! Huge plus, it was pet friendly for our 16 year old Doxie! It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The towels were big and fluffy. The beds were so comfortable. We did use the indoor pool, which was fun. The fish washing station was very handy! The staff was SO polite and pleasant. We plan on returning, it was a great stay!

We had a family reunion here September 9-12 and Pine River was awesome. The cabins were awesome. Sights amazing. Angie and Bill were so accommodating and helped make this reunion the best ever. They felt like family to us. Can't forget the beautiful indoor pool! We recommend this place highly with a 10+.

Myself and my extended family stayed in a couple cabins at the Pine River Lodge. We cannot say enough great things about our vacation. From the views, amenities, and customer service; our experience was top notch. We loved that the Marina was within minutes of our cabin. The
views were breathtaking and made for great pictures and memories. The cabins were clean and functional with all the amenities to include linens, toiletries, and kitchenware. The owners were always available to assist with any questions or helpful as needed. We hope to come back soon. Thank you!

Cabin 22! 2 bedrooms with shared bathroom, bathroom with shower in hallway, loft up stairs with two full size beds and two twins plus the third bathroom with no shower, So spacious, clean, has its own driveway, huge private patio with fire pit! Property has great view of lake, kids playground, and indoor pool. We stay here every in September! 10 stars!

Our family of 4 & dog had a wonderful stay here at Pine river lodge! We stayed 2 nights in cabin 4. It had a amazing view of the lake. The kitchen has everything you need and if you forget anything you can take a quick trip down the road to the general store that has everything you could need. The staff was super nice and helpful. We will definitely be back soon!

We stumbled upon this place by sheer luck and were SO pleased we did. We will definitely be back! It is a beyond beautiful location, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the cabins were precious and clean. Love love love! Thank you! Can't wait to come again!

We were getting a bit tired of camping and the weather was looking a little wet so we decided to call around and see about getting a cabin for the night. The gal answering the phone got us set up with a reasonably priced cabin for the evening and accommodated our Labrador retriever for an extra $15.

Check in was a breeze and we were very pleased with our cabin. All of the appliances work, the sheets and towels were soft and of high quality, and the mattresses were very comfortable. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed in terms of dishes, cutlery, and cooking utensils.

The view from our porch was lovely looking out at the lake and the other guests were friendly. A small general store up the road sells homemade sausages along with other essentials. We will definitely be back and will recommend this lodge to our friends.

The cabins had everything we needed and the owners were so amazing! They were extremely helpful and friendly! I have been going here off and on for over 20 years and cant wait to go back! Amazing place.

My husband and I took a weekend and stayed in one of the Pine River Lodge's cabins. It overlooked the lake and it surroundings were so beautiful and peaceful. It was really nice to wake up and see the water from the bed. The cabin was super clean and comfortable. Debbie the owner helped us figure out where to hike and she showed us on the map where to go. Loved Pine River Lodge and hosts, Bill and Angie! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable for our visit. We stayed in Cabin 35, which had plenty of room and everything we needed for our small family reunion!

This family owned and operated lodge is run by 2 wonderful sisters, that are incredibly knowledgeable about all things hunting and fishing. They've been the proprietors of Pine River Lodge since the early 60's and know the surrounding areas better than most of the locals. The cabins are very clean and comfortable, and the ladies are very accommodating if you need anything extra or special circumstances. There is a large park for summer activities and an indoor pool for swimming year round. A fish cleaning station and even a place to hang up big game to help skin it. All cabins have full kitchens as well as a BBQ grill and fire pits. And most of the staff is very friendly... With the exception of a couple of cleaning women... The head of housekeeping is pretty rude. But if you steer clear of her, your visit will be pure enjoyment.

We really loved our stay in Cabin #15 over the Christmas holiday. The cabin was well appointed. Great bedding and towels. Very clean and the views were wonderful. The Atkinson family is very friendly. I highly recommend this beaufiful and peaceful place.
