After reading other reviews of the Blue Sky Cafe, we decided to give it a try. Upon entering the cafe, we were warmly greeted and felt like "we were at home". Our waiter quickly greeted us and took our order. As we observed the atmosphere of the restaurant, it became apparent this was a place where locals hung out. The food was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection! When the waiter presented us our bill we were surprised to realize how much food they provided compared to the price.......it is very reasonable. Come hungry or be prepared to share a plate or take some home with you. In our current post pandemic time, it is wonderful to see this eating establishment practicing good old fashioned customer service, great food, and a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. We are planning to return to try their lunch menu. Based on our breakfast, we know it will be great!

Haven't had a bad experience yet! The Fancy Nancy chai is delicious, and so is the Lower Pine. My favorite dish is the Twisted Biscuits and Gravy, such a great take on a classic. Chicken Salad on a croissant is excellent, but I also liked it on the salad with a sweet iced tea. Best staff in town!
UPDATE: Finally tried the Cluck Nest- and had it twice in one week!

Really good food and service. Nice little Cafe in Bayfield. My wife had a coffee and said it was delicious. Highly recommended.

My dogs mom and I just had breakfast here on Sunday. If you like family cooked food and place that feels like home, eat here and come hungry, because the food is delicious and the portions are generous. The pancakes are pretty, the bacon is bacon, and the green chili has great flavor. Take your dogs mom here and you’ll get a biscuit.

Must stop breakfast/lunch place in the heart of downtown Bayfield. Food was ample and very reasonably priced. Quint little place where locals come to meet.

Excellent breakfast! I had the River Eggs and they were delicious. Staff was very friendly and courteous.

Food is delicious, everything is homemade and several things are locally sourced. Staff and owners are all sweat-hearts. This has become a second home. We are lucky to have this place in Bayfield. Its better than any Breakfast you can get in Durango.

So happy that we came to the Blue Sky Cafe for breakfast this morning. It was outstanding. I ordered the River Eggs with their homemade muffin, which was cranberry today, and everything was fantastic. The eggs were seasoned and had peppers cooked into them. The salsa it came with was delicious and we also got lattes that were delicious. I wish we took pictures of our meals but they looked so good that we forgot. 5 stars for this place! Our new favorite breakfast spot.

What a Gem of an experience from the moment we walked in! Friendly, attentive and flexible with our Gluten-free needs! We each had the Trashman Bowl adjusted to each of our tastes! The owners are exceptional and offered wonderful samples of the chickpea salad, an avacoda sauce and freshly made raspberry jam! Let me just say everything was layered in flavor and so fresh it was a refreshing surprise to find!

Delicious food! I had Steph's Potato Breakfast 2 days in a row, Yummy! Also her muffins are the best and so is the homemade jelly she makes fresh daily!! Steph and all her staff are awesome as well!! You will be hooked after one visit!!

The food and coffee were so amazing! So many good choices from the menu… get them all! They had a daily special of pumpkin spice pancakes 🥞 🎃 that was delicious! 😋

We went for the Valentine’s dinner. I ordered the prime rib and it was a little overdone but it had great flavor and you couldn’t beat the cost or the amount of food!! The Cornish hen was delicious also!! The staff was friendly and thorough!! Thank you for a great dinner!!
