Inn of the Mountain Gods

Everything was excellent!!! Especially Broken Arrows legendary bartender Donald! He was very friendly outgoing attentive and made excellent drinks! The food was great too and overall a very pleasant atmosphere! The bar in the casino has 3 employees that provided us with excellent service and mixed drinks! Big kudos to Joe, Joel, and Rene. We did not come across anyone who wasn’t friendly and respectful. Keep up the great work… oh by the way we didn’t win any money but had lots of fun trying anyway! 😊

The five stars are for one of the dealers at the craps table named Kevin. He was very patient with the people in my group learning to play craps and everybody had a blast. Some of the dealers could learn a thing or two from him in terms of patience and tact. Overall we had a great time and just wanted to give props where it was due!

The location of this casino is AMAZING. The view of the lake and forest alone is worth the visit!

We were driving from Arizona and searched for a place to eat. I saw that there was a casino in the middle of nowhere and decided to visit. The restaurant was great and the table games were fun. I definitely plan to come back and stay a few days to enjoy the ambience.

Tl;Dr get over here and have a fantastic experience, Make sure you ask for Jarvis!

Hi there, this review is simply and only for the broken arrow tap House. We didn't actually stay in any of the rooms.

I want to preface this by saying I'm pretty picky, I'm not a jerk I'm just picky, I always try to respect the servers but I'm definitely a what's in that and where is the meat from kind of person. We went to broken arrow tap room and had a server named Jarvis. I have waited tables for over 12 years Jarvis is one of the greatest servers I've ever had.

Jarvis had an extensive knowledge of the menu not a maybe or kind of answer in the whole bunch he knew exactly where everything was from what qualities they were at and what ingredients were and what items. His knowledge blew me away. As for the food I will admit that the breaded artichokes came out a little greasy but they were still very good, he saw that, and ordered us a whole new order that was significantly less greasy. We didn't ask for it we didn't even need it but he did it.

My wife ordered the knuckle turkey sandwich, which was great. I ordered the build your own burger it was so high quality, local and rich! Every single bite was full of flavor. All in all this is one of the best dining experiences we've had in months. The concierge to this entire experience was Jarvis. No joke if you come here ask for him and everything will be taken care of to your greatest desire. If it sounds like I'm going on a little too much it might be the giant beer he served me, which by the way they have an extremely large selection to choose from, on top of which their drink menu is two-sided, separated by different type of libation, and filled with options as well as a full bar!

To summarize it was an absolutely wonderful gastro experience, with a great atmosphere and a phenomenal server.

My wife and I just had a wonderful stay (January 2024) including an exceptionally good dinner and Wendell's restaurant last night and great breakfast at Broken Arrow this morning. Kory, server at Wendell's, was wonderful: made great recommendations, provided prompt service without hovering, very friendly but gave us privacy. We have always enjoyed staying at the Inn, this was yet another great experience!

We only stopped by to visit the resort and have dinner! The restaurant, Wendell’s was amazing! You have to make reservations though, seems like the only fancier restaurant in town. We had sangria shrimp, lobster bisque, chicken tortilla soup, poached scalloped with buttered lobster, and New Mexico Wagyu steak. They were all phenomenal. Maybe slightly overpriced but the food was outstanding it was worth it! I guess because they were so busy, service wasn’t 5 stars but we would still go back!

I brought my wife and children this past Presidents’ Day! We stayed here Sunday and Monday with checkout on Tuesday. The weather was gorgeous! Our hotel room was a few steps from the lake. The morning and evening’s were a beautiful experience. We are local folks from Ruidoso, and took our home-cook meals from home. Our four children loved to swim each morning and evening! As for me I enjoyed sitting beside the fire place area viewing the mountain scenery. We had a few disappointments but they were minor. This place is still the destination resort and place to visit for a few days any chance you have! Thank you to my beautiful Mescalero Apache people for a fun two day getaway!!

Stayed 4 nights with a large group in room #175- king lake side - the room was fabulous! A/C did not work the first night so I called it in the next morning and they fixed it- when I needed extra water they brought it. They do not do housekeeping unless you request it and when you request it- its done. The staff here are very welcoming and eager to help answer any questions you have. The resort is clean and pretty. There is not much nearby but they have many amenities right here. I would stay here again most definitely. Restaurant food was very good. I will say that I spent time in the casino and never saw any jackpots and the slot machines sucked the money in with hardly ever any payouts. The only ads I heard over the loud speaker were for the locals to enter to win?? Never heard that b4 at other casinos. The casino staff were very nice and always spoke when passing by.

Beautiful resort hotel with a perfect view of Sierra Blamca. Great staff. Several amenities. Nice restaurants, bars, and Club 49. Great events & entertainment. Great casino! Great parking. Great place to have seminars, events, staff meetings or parties, etc. Highly recommend this place!

This was such an amazing weekend!! This was the 1st time I had ever been to the famous Ruidoso!! Wow, I enjoyed staying here at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. They have a large vegas style casino. The weather was pretty cold so we stayed in the resort. We spent the day on the 2nd floor enjoying the indoor pool and hot tub. The staff was so helpful and inviting. Thank you all for your awesome service. We highly recommend staying here to anyone who is considering a trip out to Ruidoso. You will not be disappointed!!! I absolutely loved the scenic views, including such beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

First time staying here, it was awesome. We had a nice view of the lake and mountains. Staff are very friendly and the room was very nice and clean. They have a few restaurants to choice from, activities to enjoy and of course the casino. Definitely will be staying here again

Went there for business. Will return for pleasure. Great food. Staff were pleasant and eager to answer questions.

Stayed at the hotel for the 1st time for the annual car show. Can't remember the name of the lady that helped but she was the highlight.

Got my family 2 rooms near each other and on the ground floor for easy access to the Cat Show parking area.

Rooms were very nice and clean. Getting from the garage to the rooms is a little bit of a pain and be ready for a walk, but well worth it and we'll be staying again for next year show.

The salon was absolutely wonderful! I only wish I would have known about it ! Candee so friendly, and everything is just wonderful! Will be definitely returning. 😃

It’s beautiful , the rooms are nice and clean , the view out to the lake especially when it’s lit up on a 4th of July weekend with fireworks I feel like something someone should get to enjoy if your ever in town . There’s 3 place to eat down stairs which is nice getting to choose , you can also go row boats on the lake and, there’s a play ground on the side for younger kids . Or you can enjoy the casino all night if you really wanted too . Or if you wanted to plan a wedding you can even do that there . It’s in all in all place to enjoy definitely check it out if your ever this way .

Love it! Will definitely stay here again. Gaming machines are cool! Bad thing is the food court. Overpriced for low quality fast food.

Beautiful location. Its is so green and fresh out there. I was there for a concert. It was fun. The scenery is just beautiful. it is located by a lake so it make it that much more nice. The casino is fun.

I love this place. Everyone there was so very friendly, courteous, yet professional. I was a little disappointed that the buffet had closed, but the Broken Arrow, Wahlburgers, and Sbarro New York style Pizza makes up for the loss. I only play Blackjack so I always win. So overall I always leave with a smile. A wonderful place to get away from it all and have fun. Don't know about the rooms as it is a one day trip from Horizon City Texas.

Came for the zip line. Great experience, great for beginners. Just the right distance and height to get you started.
