Café Corazón

Cafe Corazon is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee!! They have my favorite vegan burrito and their Thai basil margarita lives in my dreams. Their guacamole is great, service is quick and attentive. I cannot recommend enough.

I absolutely loved eating here! Decided to go to this location for dinner with my partner and it has such a homey atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and I will absolutely be returning. I got the torta with pibil and it was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Everything was very good. Chips and salsa to start out with, we added queso and guacamole, that was a good choice. Margaritas were perfect. I ordered the food truck tacos, chicken,beef and shrimp. I liked the shrimp the best. My husband ordered the wet burrito. That thing was huge!! Personally I'm not a fan of burritos, so I can't comment on that. But he said it was good, but just a little too big, the ends get a little too doughy. Over all great experience. Our server was fantastic. We will be back for sure.

The server was very polite. The outside seating area was pleasant. We could order drinks while our table was prepared. The food was great and we had complimentary chips while we waited. Their drink menu was unique and had good options.

Great place! We stopped in on a Sunday night for dinner after the Rep. Pretty small place, but we didn't wait long for a table. Husband had a burrito and I had 2 tostadas! Great chips and salsa too. Would fun to be outside during nice weather. Fantastic and quick service!

Café Corazón is fantastic. The staff is quick and kind. The menu is very broad with multiple Mexican dishes as options. The bar is fully loaded and they offer reasonably priced drinks. The art around the place and the menus if fantastic. This place is easy to relax in and get a heavy buzz without a lot of work. Absolutely will return.

Met some people here for tacos and we had a great time. Like the new online ordering system, and how it makes it easier to split a tab.

The place has really really great food

This place will not disappoint you. Amazing spot to go to dinner with the family, but also a phenomenal spot to stop in during the week. If you sit at the bar here you’ll get your food in less than 5 min (I’m not kidding) most of the time and it’s crazy fresh and delicious. Lots of ingredients here come from the owners family farm, and the staff is wonderful. Bartender Bowe is the highlight of a phenomenal staff. Would give 20/10 stars if I could

The food is spectacular! Chips and salsa to start (also try the guacamole - you won't regret it) keep you well satisfied until the meal comes. The authentic tastes are blended perfectly, and I have not picked a bad item on the menu yet!! If it's your first time, try the Best Burrito. Absolutely amazing (and oh, so filling)!

The vegetarian chorizo torta was absolutely delicious. We also got a vegan mushroom dish (can’t remember name) that was super tasty too! Gary was our server and he was very helpful in navigating the menu (:

My brother and I stopped in on a whim, during a quick Milwaukee day trip. The service was great. We seated quickly, ordered, and the food and drinks were delivered within 5 min. We, both l, got the Lunch Taco Truck Plate special. Hit the spot, not too much and not too little. Definitely a new fav.

Is there anything more than 5 stars? If there was, I would put that in all categories. I can’t stress how perfect my experience was tonight for dinner. The food? Perfect. The service? Perfect. The ambiance? Perfect. I plan on coming back.

Always a great experience. I over enjoy this place each and every time not the Riverwest and Bay View locations. This time we tried the shrimp fajitas and salmon tacos, excellent.

LOVED LOVED LOVED! Great vegan/ vegetarian options. Wonderful flavor, friendly staff, place is super cute and creative. Loved the positive vibes and atmosphere. Has a beautiful Latin energy with awesome decorations. Definitely will be back on our next visit to Milwaukee!

Unique Riverwest spot for great food. The menu is unique and has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The fun, quirky decor perfectly fits the Riverwest neighborhood, and the indie music is awesome too (Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear, Father John Misty, etc). The service is excellent, and the Ranchero breakfast burrito with soy chorizo exceeded expectations. The plantains on the side are delicious as well.

This is the first restaurant that I visited 10 years ago on my first trip to MKE, and it is still one of the best! The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Great food, great service and fab margaritas!

Update: 3/22/2019 My babe and I enjoyed eat another great lunch! We seem to get the same server most times and I am not dissapointed. He doesn’t know we love him soo much! Great margaritas once again, delicious seafood soup and chips and guacamole were good as usual. Very authentic flavors and of course we’d be fools not to come back!

I’m a bartender myself, so I’m critical on comfortability. Making the customer feel like they’re heard and apart of the conversation at all times (if they want).

I start with that because every time im at the bar at cafe corazon I’m immediately greeted with friendly people and friendly words. Not any of the fake stuff bartenders will often say it to every other customer. Also if you are a quiet person or just tired and aren’t feeling chatty, they respect that which I commend, but they always open the conversation up to you. I go to a lot of bars that are so clicky they teleport me back to high school. I’m comfortable at Café Corazon.

Also get the Tres leches

Cafe Corazon is good, and the patio is really nice. The service is always reliable and occasionally quirky, but in a way I really enjoy. I usually order the wet burrito with asada, and it's solid, although the steak can sometimes be dry and seems less fresh than others. Good margaritas!
