Tamara M. Powell, M.D. Access Family Medicine Direct Primary Care

Dr. Powell is such a breath of fresh air! She is available to her patients, period. After decades of dealing with HMO type care, finding an efficient, knowledgeable and kind doctor is a beautiful thing! Thank you!

Dr. Powell has been my primary care physician for 13 years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She has gotten me through several tough issues with the utmost calm, compassion, and knowledge. I’m also a huge fan of the DPC model. I can work directly her without going through all the red tape of traditional practices. This gives us both time to be thorough and build a genuine relationship.

Dr. Powell has been my family’s doctor for over a year now and we’ve been very happy with her! She has always shown us compassion and has always been attentive to our needs. She is always respectful and kind. It’s very comforting to know that she is my doctor. There is never a long wait to be seen by her or to get a referral. It’s also really convenient that she has some meds and labs that can be done in office at a low cost. I would recommend her for all ages!

Dr. Powell is a great doctor, and we are happy to have found her and Access Family Medicine. For anyone who is considering if direct primary care (monthly subscription to a Doctor) is worth it - trust me it is! We have 4 young children and no private health insurance. Dr. Powell has always been able to get us in quick and provide all the services we may need from exam, to diagnosis to medication / prescriptions. She's done EKG's, blood work, wart removal and lab tests all right from her office. I highly recommend direct primary care in general, and Dr. Powell in particular if you are in Grants Pass.

I have been going to Dr. Powell since January 2020. I Sure wished I had found her sooner as
I had been struggling with some issues for a long time. Dr. Powell ordered labs and within a few weeks I had a diagnosis. She’s gets you the referrals you need in a timely manner. I also like that there is a pharmacy onsite for some medications. She is caring and kind, and she really listens to you. I feel as if she genuinely cares about her client’s.
I highly recommend Dr. Powell.

Dr. Powell is truly wonderful and gives you quick service and very easy access. There’s many benefits to being a member of her health care group and I encourage anyone who is looking for a compassionate and caring and helpful doctor to give her a try. I started with her because I did not want to pay the exorbitant monthly premiums for health insurance. But I will continue with her even after I get onto Medicare in the fall.

Dr. Powell is a great doctor. I have been with her ever since she was my ob and delivered my daughter 14 years ago. She listens, takes time to explain things, and is very caring. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Tamara M. Powell has been great as my primary care doctor. She responds to my emails in a timely manner, and answers any concerns I might have. I also appreciate her checking in with me on every issue I'm dealing with each time I see her in person. New patient of Dr. Powell. After years of not having insurance due to price of over $800. a month. I found Dr. Powell advertising $75.00 a month to be able to see her. I was in extreme pain and she was able to give me a prescription for relief and had me go get an X-ray. The cost was 159.00 had the results later that day, and a thyroid test for $34.00. Next week she is removing skin tags, that cost is included with the monthly fee. Can’t explain how relieved I feel knowing I have a Dr. again. She is very sweet and spends time getting to know you and your past medical history. Thank you DR. TAMARA POWELL.

Dr. Powell has been amazing since day one. I have seen her since I was a teenager and now I'm in my 30's. She helped pin point and send me to the best specialist in Portland, OR when we found out I had a pituitary tumor. My experience with her has always been amazing.
She is still my Dr. and is now both my boys Dr. as well. One is almost 5 and the other is 6. She has helped care for them since the day they were brought in to this world and I trust her will them both.

I had been calling all around for days looking for a doctor. They were all at least 3weeks to 3 months out. I was in desperate need to see one immediately. I filled out info online and Dr. Powell personally called me withing an hour. She said she could see me the next day. She is very caring and takes time with you and you dont feel rushed. I would highly recomend her to anyone in need of a doctor. She is great at answering your call or email right away too. Thank you Dr. Powell.

I consider myself very fortunate to have had Dr. Tamara Powell as my pcp for the past 15 years. I think she truly cares for her patients and shows it by taking the time to answer any questions or concerns that you have. She has really helped me through some tough years and I will really miss her. I'm sorry to see her leave Mountain View Family Practice but wish her and her family the very best in the years to come.

First off, I must say, I'm not a fan of hospitals or healthcare facilities, not because I dont like Doctors, but because I dont like the turn n burn large facilities crawling with sick people.
This new business platform of "membership with your Doctor " is completely refreshing. I go into a quaint office with living room furniture that immediately set my mind at ease. The one on one relationship built is impeccable. Dr. Powell also keeps contact with me on current events. She is just an email or call away,and I love it. Not to mention, her credentials are outstanding! I highly recommend this health club , for it is top notch!

Actually, my name is Debbie Winn and I am the patient of Dr. Powell for over five years. She has always been conscientious, considerate and careful in providing very good care, and getting me referrals and follow up when needed. I am very pleased with her as my doctor.
