Oh man! So glad my husband stumbled on this place for breakfast while here. So many options that I wish I could have ordered more! The coffee was delicious but I was so impressed with the food! This has been the best breakfast restaurant I have ever ate at! Fresh food (especially the fruit even during the winter), great portions, and excellent service. We will definitely be back before we fly out!

Came in for breakfast early 2/20/24 in West Milwaukee. The gentleman who served us(sorry I forgot your name) was great, so friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness. My friend and I both had the special southwest chicken omelet and WOW was it good! Pancakes on the side that are always delicious here. Thanks!

Delicious, fresh food. Fast, friendly and efficient service. Prices are on the high side but it's justified for the large portions and great taste. Restaurant was clean. No wait on Monday afternoon. My only complaint is the booth seats are not too comfortable but that is merely my personal opinion. All in all Mad Rooster is a fantastic place to patronize.

Such an amazing breakfast spot!! We had the huevos rancheros, mad baby reds, and crispy-crunchy cinnamon French toast. Delicious! 😍
Our service was also quick and our server Adrianna was very friendly and did a great job. Highly recommend this place!

Yum! A classic Milwaukee staple and usually a wait. If you get there early enough you can get seated right away, but that sweet spot of breakfast/brunch time it is busy! There are plenty of parking spots, but it does fill up quick!

Mad Rooster has your classic homegrown, country breakfast feel to it and something for everyone! The menu is extensive and had everything you could want for breakfast! Pancakes, waffles, benedicts, eggs,... the list goes on! Our server was friendly and patient as we decided what we wanted to get.

I got the Mad morning tacos, three pretty big tacos with eggs, chorizo, peppers, avocado, salsa and sour cream and a side of potatoes! It was so good and filling! Others at my table got some of the skillets and pancakes! We were all ready for a food coma when we were done!

Good food, great staff (Angel and Oscar are among the few that I request to sit in their sections), good size portions (I either leave full or too full and take leftovers home), reasonably priced.

All my years of coming here I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience with my food or with staff.

Accommodates anywhere from one person to groups > 10.

Some of their staff are bilingual and there’s a lot of diversity in terms of customers.

Sometimes there’s a wait (which is worth it in my opinion), so plan ahead and get ready to enjoy :).

Shakshouka, Mad Morning Tacos, Stuffed French toast, Strawberry crepes, Salmon with hollandaise sauce and their Chilaquiles - are among some of my favorites.

Coming from out of town and wanted a good breakfast! Despite the restaurant looking busy, we got sat right away and were greeted right away as well. Server was friendly. The menu has familiar options like pancakes, bacon and eggs but they also have choices that make the food stand out like red potatoes instead of Hasbrowns. The prices are a little higher compared to other breakfast places but it's expected as most of the food is farm to table . At least that's what the menu and most of the signage around the store says.
I got the green skillet, I would probably add pico next time. My husband got the continental, the juice was definitely fresh , just wish it came with a fruit syrup.
Would definitely go out of my way to eat here again!

Top quality ingredients, offerings, service and staff.

These folks are always sure to add those particular touches that take an already good plate up to premium elevation.
Always delicious, made fresh, generously portioned, timely, and uncommonly fair pricing considering all of the above.

These pancakes are probably the best in Milwaukee and the coffee is particularly tasty. Their specialty potatoes are clearly a flagship strong-suit but I have had zero luck finding anything on the menu which leaves much room for criticism.

Go eat here. Just please have a reservation and be timely! These folks work hard to accommodate everyone, but I think it's easy for us as the patron to forget we have a responsibility to respect the time of those who are serving us, to say nothing of other patrons [we live in a society].

Customer service and the quality of the food is always consistently great!

They have the best steel cut oatmeal around!! The texture is like silk.

October 2023 update:
If you are searching for a sit down restaurant open in Milwaukee, they are the ones!! Absolutely consistent with everything!!!

This place is amazing!! And busy!!! But still amazing! Our waitress was phenomenal and the food even more so! Lots of gluten free options- including pancakes and syrup! Huevos Rancheros was sooo good. The fresh fruit with my friend's meal was picture perfect! Pigs in a blanket were a huge hit too!

Outstanding place for breakfast. Highly recommend. Have tried several things on the menu and have never been disappointed. Service has been top notch each time we visit. Their use of fresh ingredients definitely shows. Fresh squeezed orange juice and cage free eggs. Bloody Mary is popular. Just south of American Family field. Has to be one of the best breakfast locations in the entire Milwaukee area.

Great food. Great atmosphere and service. We had the Berry crunch pancakes. Very delicious. Highly recommend. Also love the “farm feel” atmosphere here.

Great friendly staff with an old town barn like atmosphere. Great menu options that are proportionate to the prices, and the service was fair. They don't rush you to close your tab, and in my opinion, the food was excellent 👌🏾. Will definitely be returning.

This is one of the best cafe restaurants in Milwaukee. The food is always amazing and delicious. My go to dish is the chicken and waffles or corn beef hash. But any dish is amazing.

Omg yet another home run! The service was on point. The food portions are HUGE and very flavorful. If I have a small nitpick, its that you only get one refill on drinks and tea. We had eggs Benedict, strawberry and cream crepes and the banana chocolate hazelnut crepes. So much food!

First off, the lead waitress/host wearing the pink top on Memorial Day - thank you for being so kind, approachable, and conversational. It was such a wonderful cherry on top of our visit and I find is so rare that people are so wonderful these days. Food was five star. Service was excellent. Absolutely will be returning to Milwaukee to visit again. I loved everything.
