Mathis Park

Great baseball/softball complex! Three well-kept ball fields, two public restrooms on site. THANK YOU HOPEWELL PARKS AND RECREATION!!! Been coming here since I was a kid. There are trails between Crystal lake and Mathis. They are not upkept by staff just the people who use them. So watch out for spider webs and sticks on the path rarely.

Always a good place to go walk there are a nice amount of poke stops here. And the park is always clean.

Beautiful park next to federal penitentiary! I think of my main man when I go play ball! If only you could come visit! You're so close to me!

Very nice fields and playground. Well maintained. We enjoyed our visit.

Great place to throw a party. Nice pavilions and grills, nicely wooded around with a large parking lot. I live a few blocks away and often enjoy the music from there. Also connected to a softball/baseball field, with plenty of lights for night games.

I grew up playing here. Although there has been alot of upgrading since then.

I went there to walk. There is a trail around the pond that's perfect. You get shade and a view. Loved it.
Haven't explored further as of yet, but will soon.

I can take my dogs and kids there. It has pond, river, playgrounds, hiking, plenty parking spots. Nice place to host events of any kind.

Great place for a morning or afternoon walk! Well-kept, clean, spacious... the Hopewell Parks Department does a great job with the park maintenance 👍🏾

Fishing is pretty good, you just need to know what/how to target since it seems somewhat pressured. Lots of space to backcast if you're a fly angler!

Got married here 10 years ago went back to attend a family day hosted by Jerry Browder & Browsers towing. So much fun & on any other day the trailes r peaceful

Love this park. Has baseball fields and a nice playground. Adjacent is another park w a pond and paved walking path and smaller playground

Always clean and grass is always cut! Not enough parking spaces or benches but we all work with what’s there.

Nice quiet clean and peaceful, people actually respect others and clean up what the dog's like to leave behind.🚮☣💩🐩

That was my first time there, it great but they need to fix the restroom.

Fun place to walk quietly and feed the ducks and let kids play on playground.

Great outdoor space for baseball etc. Never had any problems.
