The Mechanics of West Allis

I’ve been to The Mechanics a couple of times now, as I recently moved a few blocks away from their location. My experiences with them have been excellent. Great service, quick turnaround, trustworthy, friendly, and worked around my very busy schedule. I even stopped in the other day because I was unable to get my old license plates off, and they were very willing to assist me with this issue. Thank you!!!

I don't trust many people working on my vehicles. I had an electrical issue with my truck during one of the snowstorms. I called late afternoon explained my problem and dropped it off before they closed. He called next day at 10 saying it was done. Great work. great guys. I now have a shop I can trust. Thank you.

They are experienced and honest mechanics. They don't try to over charge women as many other car repair places do. They also work with you on a convenient drop off time. I would definitely recommend them.

Love this place! It's hard to find trustworthy mechanics and my wife and I have for sure found ours. We even moved further away recently and I still plan on bringing our vehicles here for all services needed.

I had a mechanic before them and all they would do is cause me money and did half job. Went to these mechanics and they have been nothing but honest. They are now my mechanic. Great job and thanks

The mechanics here are very honest and very competent. Ask them what they know about your car and you are likely to be impressed. They are passionate about fixing cars and making the people they work with happy. They have fixed my car, two family member's cars, and inspected one of my cars pre-purchase.

I do enjoy stopping here & having different projects worked on.

Friendly and professional mechanics! As a woman, I’m always leery when I have to take my car in. Mechanics almost always talk down to me or make me feel uncomfortable. When I called this place for a quote they were really pleasant and informative. And they were equally as nice when I dropped off and picked up my car. They also finished my car same day!

Professional service at a fair price. They completed my work sooner than expected and just under the quoted price. There was a small issue after the work was done and they fixed it without hesitation and around my schedule. I would recommend this shop to anyone and will return with any work I may need in the future.

Went to start my car and the battery was dead. I have a Prius and with no power could not put it in neutral to move car out of garage to jump. Went up to the mechanics and they walked down with a power pack to get me started. Took car up for battery test and of course it failed. Jim told me that none of his suppliers had the battery I needed in stock. With storm and cold coming I really needed it that day. Jim recommended I go to Batteries Plus.
Who recommends you go to a competitor? I wanted to pay for their time and effort but Jim told me no that it was just a neighbor helping a neighbor. I highly recommend these guys for anything. 5 stars plus 2!!!!

Excellent 👍 experience all around. They helped save me money on unnecessary repairs. They also offered to provide my newly-adult son with some basic mechanic tips to get him through simple preventive maintenance on his car. I would recommend them over anyone, especially big brand shops or dealerships.

Always honest about what needs to be done, how long it will take, and what it's going to cost up front. They always have it done when they say they will, which we all know isn't always the case elsewhere. Straight shooters and pricing is more than reasonable. Couldn't be more happy to have found this place.

They do fantastic work! Very honest and reliable! Best prices I've ever had quoted! I needed multiple issues fixed on my vehicle, power steering lines, wheel stud and bearings, etc, when they gave me that quote under $700, I was like "lets do it!" because it was such a great deal, and to top it off I got it back the very next day! I highly recommend taking your vehicles to these professionals everytime.

Mike one of the mechanics has always handled my 2008 Honda Accord in a timely manner and the price was always reasonable. I have recommended the business to several people. The quality of work is great. The car is always done when promised. Excellent car repair business.

Jim and Mike do an awesome job working on my fleet vehicles.

I brought my car in to have a water pump replaced, they gave me a very reasonable quote and told me it would be ready the next day.
As promised, the car was ready when said the next day and for the exact price i was quoted. On top of this, they informed me of another future problem, looked up all the prices for said future problem and printed me out a price guide with NO pushy tactics telling me it was an urgent problem that needs to be fixed like other shops would.

These guys are awesome! It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust. I brought my car in because the heat wasn't working and they found out it was the resistor to the blower fan. They told me the part I needed and said I could do it myself or have them do it. I did it myself and saved myself some money. I then got two new tires and steering rack installed with them. Would highly recommend these guys.
