This is the beat Soul Food restaurant in Palm Beach County. The Mac and cheese and Fried Fish reminded me of sweet ol’ Georgia. Truly was an experience and great music selection while you eat. Wish there were more stars!!!

We were passing through Delray Beach yesterday and stopped by Donnie's Place at random for breakfast. Wow, we were happy we did! Covid precautions made us unable to dine in, but it was worth the 20-minute wait for the take-out meals. I ordered the sauteed shrimp, my wife the salmon cakes, and we both got grits. It was so good! The shrimp were tender and sweet, and the sauce they came in really tasty. The salmon cakes were awesome as well, and the grits amazing. We'll definitely go back next time we're in town.

Donnie's has some of the best soul food in Palm Beach County. Their breakfast always taste great. The pancakes and grits are worth the wait.

The staff is always kind and friendly. Sometimes they get a little busy and there's a bit of a wait, but again it's worth it. The menu is reasonably priced and affordable.
Chicken wings here are superb!

Wish I could give more stars. The food was phenomenal and the service was as well. French toast some of the best I’ve had, salmon cake bursting with flavor and corned beef hash on point. Restaurant was clean, everyone friendly, this is a nice place to feel at home and away from the hustle and bustle of Delray’s Atlantic Avenue. Can’t wait to come back and try lunch! When I visit every once in a blue moon due 2 distance (hate driving) the staff n management team are always friendly. I love their breakfast selections! Had their wings for lunch one time was great! In love with their Parkers special! No complaints here! Keep serving great food!

It is an excellent breakfast. I had scrambled eggs and the most delicious fried pork chops. My husband had a breakfast sandwich with creamy grits with a hint of cheese. The staff is courteous and friendly. The eating area is clean and spacious. The restaurant is near the first settlers district. If you want a tasty breakfast for a reasonable price, Donnie's Place is a good choice.

1st visit there. Wasn't busy when we arrived. Ordered the Pork Chop breakfast and the veggie plate. Hot foods were hot, well seasoned. For my taste the yams were a little too sweet, and for me the potato salad was missing something but overall would visit again. Staff was courteous and pleasant.

Good soul food is difficult to find... unless you come here. Warning: Bring your appetite! Nia greeted my group with a warm smile, gave awesome recommendations, and provided top notch hospitality the entire time. My group of six had everything from chicken wings, fish, pork chops, to gizzards, you name it. EVERYTHING was superb... SUPERB!

A first timer should definitely try the fried chicken wings and fish. Feeling breakfast? The home fries are well-seasoned and so flavorful! In conclusion, I’m here for a few days and will probably come back at least two or three more times. This place knocked it out the park!

Best smothered chicken wings ever! And I'm not usually a fan of mac n cheese , but there's is amazingly good! Prices and service great too! We will be back even though it's a 45 minute drive. I typically don't go more than 15 minutes away if I can help it!

Really wonderful soul food restaurant, very near to the Delray Beach Tennis Center where I just played. I'm from the north, so wanted to see what soul food was down here. Even though they didn't have fried chicken livers or fried whiting :-) , the smothered pork chops grits and eggs with a side of swai with hot sauce was absolutely delicious! They have delicious secret toast. Taste it before you think it needs to be buttered. :-)

One of the 1st restaurants we came to when we moved to Delray Beach, and definitely one of the best. Friendly service, great food, reasonably priced. What more can you ask for. Waiting for the day they reopen, takeout only these days. Stay safe guys!

I literally drive 45 mins to get this food. And I am never disappointed. Love the food and service. Best part, its black owned and Donnie reminds me of my grandfather and so does his cooking. Thank you for the nostalgia ..

Best soul food in town. Been coming to this beautiful place since it was originally called *Parkers". I personally like the tilapia fish and Mac and cheese dinner. Ask for the Parker special which is their signature drink. Thank me later.

Wow is all I can say.. first time trying Donnie’s. We live in boca but my parents and I picked up dinner to carry home for Super Bowl.. collard greens, fried chicken, okra, Mac n cheese.. it was easily the best soul food.. even better than bay bays chicken and waffles that used to be in west palm.. if u want real soul food, this is the place.. 5 stars

Friendly staff, delicious homecooked vegetables and fantastic haddock. We were impressed that Donnie's restaurant owners was sponsoring a back to school festival for the community. They are giving out backpacks with free school supplies to children as well as providing hot dogs, safety classes, bounce house and much more. This family cares about people!

This is the only soul food ove found since moving here; luckily, it's delicious! Fried pork chop breakfast with home fries and wheat toast...$9. The "red drank" is outstanding!

The fried chicken was awesome, the waffles are fluffy syrup. The pork chops are big and nice . We spent 1hr there great . I would come everyday

Although customer service may not be to my liking, the food is splendidly great! I've experienced the oxtails and the best stewed chicken wings ever. Collard Greens and macaroni is also superb

Everything here is delicious and affordable with large portions
