Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This Cracker Barrel, located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, is a pretty good place to stop if you're looking for a home cooked, comfort food type meal. This location is always a little crowded, but we were able to be seated within a timely manner.

I ordered from the dinner menu this time, although their breakfast menu is also fantastic. I had the chicken fried chicken, which came out moist and tender, paired with mashed potatoes and Sawmill gravy with the side of fried okra.

The staff here was generally friendly, if not a little overwhelmed, from the packed dining area. All and all, it was a good experience in the food was delicious.

We love Cracker Barrel. The atmosphere, food and service is always the best. The only problem is everyone loves it so sometimes you have to wait. They also came out and loaded wood on the fire. Just a fantastic morning.

Nice experience at this Cracker Barrel, right off I-81, easy accessibility. The food was delicious and our waitress was a sweetheart. Beautifully decorated for Christmas.

The food was great with a side of fried okra, yummy. I did some early holiday shopping on my way out of the door. Great service and hospitality.

Excellent service with tasty food at a reasonable price. The restaurant is well maintained and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food portions were very generous.

We ate at Cracker Barrel 2 nights in a row this week while we were traveling from Georgia to New York. We called in a take out order in Columbia, SC, and then ate in last night in Harrisonburg, Virginia. It is so great to be able to count on Cracker Barrel wherever we are to provide great food. We are so tired after a day of driving that the comfort food we get is just what we need! I also joined the Cracker Barrel rewards program (finally) and we got a free batch of barrel bites for dessert.

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite go to places for breakfast or dinner. I went there this evening for dinner.
Haven’t been in awhile until today, but I will tell you the service is amazing and the food is delicious. Management has really taken care of that store and I can’t wait to get back there.

Stopped by here for breakfast with some friends after our weekend skiing trip. Amy was the best and made our visit great! The food is as good as always and the gift shop is always a fun place to walk around.

I love the bread / biscuit to start off — it’s flavor is different to what I’ve had.
Cracker Barrel has quite a few options when it comes to steak and meat but I love how they are unique in their own way of adding 3 sides. I love having the hash brown casserole as a side option, possibly the only restaurant I’ve been to that offers that. Everything was delicious — fresh steak, fresh broccoli, well seasoned mash potatoes and fries.

Service to get us a table was fast. But the food time to get to the table was a little slow due to the inclement weather, I believe.

The other times that I’ve came here, I’ve received good service and great food.

Went for a quick breakfast. Everything was great. A lil warm in there, but that's ok! The food came out in good timing, and was delicious and affordable. Will come back for breakfast again!

Our family of 5 came in for brunch, short wait time, and very busy! Our server Logan was phenomenal! She was quick, polite, personable, and our meal was perfect as well! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We purchased the Holiday Ham feast for Christmas dinner. We picked it up and everything was super delicious! The ham quality was fantastic all the sides were top notch and it was easy to prepare! We will be doing it again next year! You can’t beat the convenience and quality! The value was amazing, the entire feast that feeds 8 - 10 cost less than dinner for two at your favorite restaurant!

Had a wonderful dinner with my wife. Easy parking, seated quickly, very good service and food for reasonable price, smooth checkout. Loved the roaring fire!

We stopped by at noon on Christmas eve for breakfast. We were able to he seated immediately and our waitress was wonderful. There was a limited menu and my grandson couldn't get a bowl of cereal..but was able to get confetti pancakes..that have cereal in them..not sure how that works..but other than that a fantastic experience and we were in and out in a little over an hour.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast meal. Our waitress was very sweet. We had a great time. I bought several gift certificates to give for Christmas presents.

Everyone here was super sweet and kind. Think southern hospitality culture.

It's was interesting for a non southern city girl to experience real southern hospitality culture. Highly recommend for visitors!

We had an excellent experience at Cracker Barrel today. Our server, Michael, was exceptional. He was very efficient and so on top of things. The meal was great too!

Its alway super fun to visit cause you get great food and wonderful store. They have nostalgic candy and soda selection with really beautiful selection of clothes, music, soap, kids toys, all the way to household knickknacks. But the food is like grandmas cooking old fashioned but super tasty yum.

Best service I've had at a restaurant in a LONG time! I ordered a cheese burger cooked medium, manager came out with my burger that the cook had mistakenly overcooked. Manager noticed that the burger was overcooked before it came out to me and immediately had the cook remake the burger properly, very short wait for my remade burger, manager definitely cares about her job and how efficiently the place is run.

Lexie (waitress) was very respectful, polite and an excellent server. Lexie knows the menu well and kept checking on us to make sure everything was going well with us.
Management!! Please give Kudos and recognition to Lexie for job well done.
