Horseshoe Point Park

One of the best beaches around Philpot Lake. Also a corps park so if you have the annual pass this spot is included. The area by the campsites is a great spot for bringing the kids and there is new sand down extending the beach. If you come here for camping there are some beautiful spots right by the water. Only thing is the restroom is a bit of a walk so be prepared for that. 100% recommend.

We are volunteer hosts at Horseshoe Point Park since May 1st, 2023. This Park is so beautiful with 49 sites, which makes it quaint. Many families have been coming here for 50+ years since they were young. Retired folks also make this Park a long stop over on their way to their next adventure. The white sand beaches, kayaking & fishing is a plus. It has been fun getting to know the campers & their stories!

We love camping here or spending the day out on the water from here it's very quiet and clean.

We have always went swimming here since we were kids it's beautiful and peaceful and doesn't get packed like the other lakes!

This is our favorite place to camp. We always try to get a campsite on the water side so we can walk directly into the water. The hosts are always great. We have been camping here for 3 years now and never have a bad experience.

Great campground, a little hard to get to but it's worth the drive. I will go again, be aware however campers going to the lower area be sure to stay in the upper area if your camper and go through the dump station area behind the bath house.

Beautiful scenery, nice spots my daughter and her boyfriend, and my grandchildren camped there and they loved it
