City Point Restoration Church of God

I can't say enough good about this church! They are doing so much within the community. They have a wonderful youth program. They have 2 service times on Sunday mornings. 9am and 11am. Just a few of their ministries are Laundry of Love, Morning Manna, Open Hearts Pantry, cute of Refuge-Hopewell Addiction Recovery Program and many others. Their Wednesday night services offer Bible study/teaching that promotes a more laid back study of God's word. The Pastor there is one of the most genuine, kind hearted and loving individuals you'll ever meet. I'm proud to call this my church!

This is a place that you can come to and feel like you are accepted by the people in the church just for who you are. It is a place that you can get feed and feel the presence of my Lord and Savior, Jesus. The place is filled with love and a caring for people and family. You do not have to be a member, for that to happen. They will invite you just the way you are and except you just the way you are.

Started going here a couple weekends ago and been enjoying it so far.

I grew up in a church that over the years, it became more about how much you could put in the plate than about celebrating God. I spent several more years trying to find a new church home. Everywhere I went, I was met with whispers and gossip, people more worried about my appearance (average bod mod) than my attendance. The very moment I first stepped foot into CPR, I was met with opened arms, smiles, and greetings. The services are inviting and invigorating, full of music, wonder and awe. I am more than happy to say that I finally found my new church home with CPR!!

Ever since the first time I attended my first service here i have felt nothing but love and acceptanced. My family loves this church and could not ask for a better place for us to be a part of.

Love all the people there. So warm and inviting to everyone. Pastor Thurman is fantastic, and preaches the word of the Lord.
