Kimpton Journeyman Hotel

We stayed for 1 night, beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the social hour in the lobby with wine,beer, and pizza. It's within walking distance of several bars, brewerys, and a sushi place. Room was spacious and clean, we had a wonderful corner view. Lois was the absolute best at reception!

My husband and I always have the most magical stays at this hotel!!! This time Gabriele + Amber at check in were so helpful and so kind. We arrived right when happy hour was starting, so they checked us in super quick so that we were able to drop our bags and head to the lobby for delicious complimentary wine and pizza! Had a wonderful experience at the Kimpton! Everyone was super friendly and attentive. Love the decor in the rooms. The California King bed is super comfortable. Tre Rivali was excellent (I'll write a separate review). Did go to the rooftop after dinner but it was packed with 20 somethings... Looks like it would be great to sit up there before it becomes a standing room only. The area is super cute. Highly recommend this hotel! (Oh and front desk will give you a small bottle of water per guest if you ask)

This is my favorite place to stay in Milwaukee. Clean and comfy rooms, restaurant on site, very nice rooftop bar, and walking distance to a lot of other restaurants and bars. Also walking distance to Milwaukee Irish Fest/Summer Fest. There is a parking garage very near to the hotel so you can self-park if you want to.

Really enjoyed a quiet afternoon in the lounge. We stopped in for cocktails and a light bite. Excellent charcuterie, and the cocktails were amazing.

This property puts service, back into the service industry!
The Mrs & I are about a 10X return leisure customer here. We were WOWed once again on this weeks stay. ( we tend to travel off peak)
I don't know where the Milwaukee location gets these engaged, professional, happy employees ?! (We've been to approx 10 Kimptons in the USA , and travel in hotels approx 80 nights a year.)

Its an expense, but many Hotel operations have a well furnished, and appointed facility; this staff separates them from all.

Stayed here with my family of four. Front desk staff was extraordinary. They helped with any need I had. Very friendly and a great location.

5 stars across the board - great rooms, plenty of space. Food was delicious and the roof top bar was popping on the weekend. Great service, I love that they had a whole list of things available if needed - I mean, they even had a breast pump and a breast milk fridge! Really impressed.with the location, also dog friendly.

Great spot. Right in middle of third ward. Rooms are nice. Have stayed here at least 3 times. Highly recommended.

Great option for third ward outings. Restaurants and the public market are all a block or two away. The restaurant at the hotel looks stellar, and the rooftop bar (indoor, or outdoor with fire tables) is popular for good reason. The room is just right, with vintage furniture and dressings.

This is one of my all time favorite hotels now. The location is perfect - next to shops and restaurants and gorgeous antique buildings that have been beautifully maintained. The staff is super friendly and it’s the perfect location if you have your dog with you. Plenty of grassy areas with sidewalks and the neighborhood the hotel is in is full of friendly dogs and dog owners. This is a dogs dream vacation location. (Also of note the rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable :)

We stayed here for our wedding weekend and it was an absolutely perfect experience! The bell and valet staff was exceptional, and the front desk folks were welcoming and attentive. The suite we stayed in was gorgeous - a beautiful space and an amazing tub! We can’t recommend The Journeyman enough. A special thank you to Lewis and Medina - they made our trip extra special! 🙂

What a great experience at the Journeyman! A terrific staff all around, the person who checked us in was lovely. The social hour head was wonderful to chat with, and the wine and snacks were delicious. They welcomed our pup with special treatment. The overall vibe was awesome, and made for such a memorable experience we have decided to make it a yearly mothers day tradition!

I stay here regularly. Can't beat the location in the Third District. It really takes on additional magic in the winter with a warm welcoming fireplace in the lobby and happy hour with wine & snacks. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view and even in winter with fire pits you can enjoy the indoor/outdoor vibe. This is a very pet friendly hotel, comfortable rooms and robes for you to use. Great place!!!

The Kimpton Journeyman Hotel was the main hotel we used for getting ready and stays for our guests.

From the catered food for the ladies getting ready, the conference room turned bridal suite to the overall planning process - we highly recommend the Kimpton! We were very grateful to have everything in one location with outstanding service!

Went to the rooftop bar!. The fire pits gives a late night date night vibe. Didn’t stay in a room! But the atmosphere is nice. The dj was super legit! A bit on the pricey side. Not too many food choices. I had the fried chicken “thighs” that looked like a nugget/ or chicken finger. Would not recommend those at all. Mojito was pretty clutch! If the wind is blowing you’ll catch a strong whiff of the stinky river! But overall I’d give it a 9/10! Take someone u like or love! Nice staff!

Had a lovely one night stay here on a May 5th. The hotel location is excellent in the third ward; and from top to bottom all marks were checked off, the complimentary face masks that front desk provided was a nice welcome; the tub and rainhead shower with soft robes made it seem like a spa-like atmosphere for my wife and I. The bed was very comfortable and combined with true black-out drapes, it made for a quality sleep. Even valet did a wonderful job in timeliness of retrieving vehicle for in and out privileges. Some minor missed marks: the gym could use some cooler air and refrigerated towels. On busy nights like weekends, guests for the rooftop patio should have a devoted elevator so hotel guests can have several of their own. Otherwise, full marks and would re-stay if we're back in Milwaukee.

Great motel downtown, close the public market and breweries. Great rooftop bar.
