Candlewood Suites Milwaukee Airport-Oak Creek, an IHG Hotel

This was an extraordinarily pleasant stay! I stayed over Christmas while I was in town to visit family. I was incredibly impressed by the whole experience. I was greeted very warmly upon my arrival, and the check-in process was quick and painless. I had no trouble finding or getting into my room.

The room was clean, quiet, and a good temperature. Water pressure and temperature in the shower and sinks were very good. The kitchenette in the suite was clean, and all of the appliances were in good working order. I was provided with dish soap, plenty of towels, and the dishes in the cupboards were clean. The bed and sheets were very clean. I felt very safe during my stay, and had no issues with noise. The "Candlewood cupboard" in the lobby with offers of snacks and drinks was an unexpected but wonderful surprise, and very appreciated!

Overall: this was a VERY pleasant experience, perhaps the nicest hotel stay I have had to date. Despite staying over the Christmas holiday, the price was reasonable and competitive to neighboring hotels, and I felt that I got excellent value for what I paid. I will definitely be returning to this location next year!

Nice hotel with an extremely friendly staff. I was beyond aggravated due to my flights being cancelled 3 times over 3 days because of the weather and the check-in-staff could see it in my face & demeanor. I was never rude, but was curt & short with everything I said. Still, though, both staff members seemed to understand my plight and never wavered from their professionalism and continued to smile. I hope I never have to stay in this area again in the winter time, but if I do, I’ll choose this hotel for sure. Rooms were nice, the location is decent, but it was the staff that made we feel welcomed.

Side Note: As I read through all the reviews, I paid close attention to the negative ones. If you read them carefully, you will see MANY that hold no merit at all. I have no doubt that sometimes people have bad experiences, but most all the negative reviews that I read seemed to be people venting & complaining over things that I seriously doubt. Negative people look for anything to complain about, even when it’s untrue.

The staff here was so friendly and helpful. We travel with a cat and dog and everytime we took our dog outside they would give her a treat and love her up. They have a great area to walk the dog amd she loved it. The pet fees were minimal. The room was very clean as well as the entire hotel. They offer a guest laundry that is free to use which is very convenient. All in all this was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it!!

I’ve had such a great stay at Candlewood suites!! Ashley and Dawn were so attentive to me as a guest for my entire stay. My room was very clean on each day that they cleaned. They had no issue replacing towels when I asked. I was always greeted coming in and out the door. I appreciate you guys sooo much and I really hope that your hotel is more than successful in the future. Can’t wait to stay again!

Stayed 2 months for work, nov2023 to dec 2023, I enjoyed my stay, heather made it very worth it, swa airlines made a great choice in picking this hotel, the whole front desk was awesome, but heather went above and beyond, remember I found the elf in the ceiling

Was there for work for a couple weeks and it was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in a very long time rooms were great and the front desk service was amazing always there if you needed anything highly recommend staying here if you’re in the surrounding area

Very nice rooms, nice kitchen and dishwasher, fridge has built in ice maker, reely nice bathroom with cool soap dispencer

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the front desk was very nice, and the hotel was not busy. We booked the 1 King Bed 1 Bedroom Suite Sofa Bed, which was perfect for our family. There was a proper bedroom with a door, and the living room was very spacious for our toddler’s pack n play.

I travel a lot for my job. I stay all over the country. This was by far the best hotel they have put me in. The room was a good size. Nice, clean appliances in great working condition. The fact that they stock the cupboards with pots, pans, flatware, dishes, cups, bowls, Tupperware, colander, and a measuring cup, makes them stand out. They even provide paper towels, dish soap, and a scrub brush. Things like that make you aware that they are trying their best to make you feel comfortable while away from home.
Has a good gym with plenty to do. Free laundry, which is a bonus, since I usually have to pay in other hotels. The staff was absolutely amazing! Very professional and helped in any way they could. It made my 25 day stay go by fast. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this place at all. Everything was clean and maintained well. Was plowed, shoveled and salted very well no matter how much snow fell.
If I'm ever in Oak Creek, WI again, this is where I'll be staying.

Very impressed. Room was spacious and very clean, comfortable bed. Good coffee in the morning and good shuttle service to the airport. Front desk lady was very nice and helpful.

Great accommodations. Extremely clean and comfortable room. We were provided a room because of a cancelled southwest flight. We checked in late/early in the morning and they moved through the large volume of check ins right away. Since we got in around 4am We were very happy that check out was not until noon. I appreciated that make up remover wipes and coffee were provided in our room! Candlewood provides a shuttle to the airport- it's best if you reserve your spot at least a day in advance!

I had a really nice stay here at the Candlewood Suites! The hotel was located in a very quiet part of town. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was great. I absolutely loved the hotel rooms- they were spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was very soft, and was able to fall asleep right away! I loved that each room came with a microwave and stove and refrigerator. The lobby had the Candlewood Cupboard- which featured snacks, full meals and drinks!

Angela is an asset indeed to this hotel I'm so impressed although tired I had to write this review. I'm a business owner and it's difficult finding good employees, she was so sweet smart fast effective and efficient. I was extremely upset when I arrived within 20 minutes I'm extremely happy, The room is surprisingly big with a stove ,full size refrigerator and microwave I'm shocked I paid $121 something like that and this has to be one of the best hotel rooms I have been in at that price range. I can't believe how roomy the room is if your trying to decide on a place you won't be disappointed and the bed is comfortable. A friendly staff you just don't find that now a days Thank You Angela you really made me feel welcome

Love the free laundry and the stove tops with pots and pans! I like to cook a lot, so it's very convenient if you don't want to eat out all the time. Utensils, plates, bowls, measuring cups, strainer, peeler, etc. are provided. It's a nice, basic kitchen set up. The hotel has also clean, comfortable beds and rooms. The fridge, microwave, and wifi are convenient too.

We stayed here during my 13 week contract in Milwaukee, we were so sad to leave. The staff is AMAZING!!!! Room was clean and housekeeping works HARD to keep them that way!!!!! We are going to miss everyone!!!!!

I was looking for accommodations for 3 people and my service dog when flying out of Milwaukee. We chose an IHG hotel as rewards members. This hotel worked out very well and was close to the airport. I would recommend using a sound app on your phone if you're a light sleeper because its proximity to the airport can make it loud at night. There were also frequent sirens, maybe it's by a hospital or fire station too.
We really appreciated the pet friendliness of this hotel. They offered our shiba inu dog bones and had a dedicated dog walking area with a path, grass and poop bag dispenser (though it was empty when we were there), along with a waste receptacle.
The staff was very friendly and offered a very good selection of DVDs to use. The store in the lobby is open 24 hours, with alcohol available until 9. The living room area in our suite was nice, with a comfy recliner chair along with other seating options.
We needed to use the pull out couch, but didn't find any sheets for it. We had to ask the front desk for a blanket and got their last one. There weren't any comforters available for either the king bed or the couch bed. My niece had to sleep without sheets.
We went to use the kitchen and found barely any dishes. We finally figured out that they were sitting dirty in the dishwasher. It would have been nice for them to at least have been run through clean, if they weren't put away in the cabinet.
I liked having a full kitchen at our disposal. Note that because of this, there's no room service or restaurant at the hotel.
I have a personal complaint that the buttons on the lamps were hard to use. It was painful for me but I'm extra sensitive due to fibromyalgia.
Our biggest complaint was the smell. The air freshener was VERY strong. We all tried to find where to unplug it but I guess it's a spray or pumped through the hotel. I thought I'd get used to it but I didn't. My brother and sister visited us and everyone commented on it. It gave me a headache after awhile. Again, I'm sensitive, but it bothered everyone and we couldn't really air out the room.
I would stay at this hotel again but would hope these few complaints could get addressed. Overall, our stay was comfy, nice, and moderately priced.

Very nice room and a very friendly staff. This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel because it never disappoints. Grounds are very clean and there are several DVD movies to chose from if you would like as well as board games. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are complete with Dishware and refrigerators.

Our client Jay Harris is a touring comedian who stayed here after a performance nearby, and loved the property! The room was perfectly clean and quiet, and the staff was super friendly. There's an on-site convenience store for the after show snacks, and a nice gym for getting the blood pumping before jumping back on the road the next day. Thank you for such a great stay!

Very nice and clean! Nice stove area and dishwasher and a very big fridge. I know most extended stay places have bigger fridges but I was pleasantly surprised. Room even has a very nice comfortable recliner in it. Good internet and a very friendly staff. Great place to stay!

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and had a full kitchen. We didn't have a reservation, but when we stopped in to see if they had availability Jacqueline was so wonderful she gave us a fantastic price and was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and thank you Jacqueline for all your help.
