EJ's Filipino Store

My daughter just told me about this place right here in Hopewell, VA. I just stopped by to take a look around but I will return to try out the food because they have a grocery store and restaurant side by side.

Authentic Filipino cuisine with traditional welcoming hospitality in the heart of Hopewell. The only Filipino market/restaurant in the immediate Tricities area. They also have a food truck- SSG Pinoy Kitchen. Can’t wait for their expansion in the building next door to their current location. Great food, nice people. The owner Emily is very hospitable. You can’t go wrong. Don’t miss out.

A little home cooked food, 8000 miles away from home! Food was delicious! Never had Pares Beef before but I would definitely eat this again. Similar to a beef stew but not as thick, but a taste more closer to adobo. Really good to warm you up on a cold and rainy day. Menu changes every week so stay tuned to their Facebook page for updates. Kitchen is in the back of the store and before you get there, there are shelves of snacks and other food items you might need but wouldn't find in a common grocery store. To top it off Mrs. Emily and Ricky are so nice and friendly, makes it feel like you're picking up food at your auntie's house.

Among the best restaurant experiences I've had in Richmond. Incredible, home cooked food. My friend and I ordered a variety of dishes and everything was amazing. The beef stew and limpia were the mvp's, along with the Sansrival cake. And the people were so friendly. Don't miss this place!

My family and I went to this place, cuz of halo- halo,but I end up buying lots of extra stuff 😅. The halo halo was good, siomai, caldereta was pretty good as well. The mango boba is definitely amazing too. They grocery is just next to the restaurant and found lots of cream silk conditioner, so I bought so much .
The lady taking our food order is honestly pretty amazing and so sweet. Definitely recommend this place if you missed Filipino food and snacks..

Amazing Filipino food the people are great as well. Eat in or take out. The Pansit is amazing.

Everything was absolutely fantastic. You need to come on the weekend for lunch. The food was amazing. The shop has a lot of cool items that you won't find anywhere else around here. We will definitely be coming again soon.

This place is a gold mind! Better marketing they can make a fortune! The food is so great. Excellent is an understatement! The location doesn't do this gem any justice.

I picked up Sunday lunch. It was delicious and fresh I highly recommend. They have weekend menus- I had Lumpia and this amazing beef stew. So good!
Having someone else cook lunch for the first time in weeks was such a treat.

Nice market for hard-to-find Asian items! Great variety of goods, and owners were nice and helpful. Wonderful to have this in our area so we don't have to drive up to Richmond or Virginia Beach. Watch their menu for home-cooked meals on the weekends.

Their Filipino food are really good! Their store is clean and items are fairly priced. We have been customers since they opened up.

Friendly staff and owners, this is a nice place to get some of the snacks and treats from the Philippines. Baked goods and meats, all frozen, I believe, are also sold here. For those interested in a deep dive into regular, practical Philippine cuisine, this is the place to start. Fresh food is cooked here daily, rather like a small to-go restaurant, but you should call them on the phone first to see what is being served the day you want to go. The store is in a house on the road so you have to look closely for the sign to keep from driving past it. Parking is not great, probably on the street. If you pull into the long driveway you may be blocked in by another shopper or have a difficult time backing onto the busy street. I definitely will shop here again!

Nice selection of foods and beverages, packaged and frozen. Clean, welcoming, convenient, warm environment.

I live over an hour from the store, I suffer from extreme anxiety and never go anywhere. Yesterday I finally got here and I love this place. I bought what I needed to make lumpia and pancit. Emily was so sweet and wonderful, nice to know there are still kind people in this world.

Great place for boba on the weekends! I highly recommend the ube yam. It tastes so good!

Its my first time to visit EJs Filipino store, it was amazing experienced though it's not that big but they have a lot of Filipino merchandise to choose from that I missed back home and they also have freshly cook authentic Filipino dishes on weekends. Check it out....😁👍

Very clean store, the staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to those who want to find real Philippine products that you can't find in other stores. They have many items, from rice to Philippine coffee, drinks, and alot more.
