Holiday Inn Express Richmond Airport, an IHG Hotel

As a centralized location for all of the activities that I needed to take care of while here in Richmond, I would highly recommend this establishment as it is representing IHG in a quality way! The room is spacious and you can feel comfortable with the area as well. The Morning Breakfast is a bonus as you can get your day started with something in your stomach. So if you are doing some business and if you don't mind not staying downtown then give this hotel a chance!

I can’t say enough about the service. The ladies at the front desk especially CHELSEA!!! I travel for work and this is the only hotel where it feels like home away from home. I always tell coworkers to stay here when traveling to Richmond!

We ended up here after leaving a nightmare hotel. We were treated like family. The hotel was very clean. Our room was a nice size. A big TV. My kids were happy to have several kids channels. Loved the kitchen area. My kids loved the bath tub. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. It even satisfied my picky kids. All the employees were super nice and helpful. Will go back everytime we go on vacation.

Rooms are consistently clean. Soft bed with good pillows. Not alotta noise. Breakfast is good. They normally put out lil extras like granola fruit bars, fruit cups etc. Which is nice .

This hotel overall has 1. Clean rooms with good space in the rooms 2. Has there own dove soap, conditioner, shampoo, and lotion 3. Nice employes.

I don’t normally stay at the holiday inn brands but my daughter and I needed a hotel for five hours by the airport. The front desk lady was so amazing. I was blown away by her service. She walked back to make sure our room was good. She made sure we were up for our 4am wake up call. I have never seen a front desk person go that above and beyond before. She would make me consider switching from my Marriott status to holiday inn.

Pros: Great place for the price. Clean and well refurbished for an older building. Staff were very nice and helpful. Bath and linens were very clean. The Dove bath products were nice. All amenities were available. Pool was open. Safe,ironing equipment and closed wardrobe. Great AC/Heat. Multiple USB connections and plug ins. Keurig coffee maker. Touch multi brightness desk lamp was nice. Free wifi. Plenty of multiple height work surfaces and hanging hooks. Good breakfast buffet and 24hr coffee available. Well lit, inside and out. Secluded and wooded area.

Cons: Airport jets do fly by, but that is to be expected. Bathroom sink soap bar smelled line industrial soap from a car shop. Fridge was good, but no freezer section. Microwave was clean and working, even though little rotisserie platter would slide off guide. Water pressure was low on the 4th floor. Bath mirror lighting would not be good for a woman doing makeup.

Our stay here was AMAZING! The renovations look great. Hotel was clean, quiet, smelled very fresh and the staff should all get a raise! Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly and professional, especially the Manager Catherine! She was so sweet and genuinely cared about the comfort of our stay. My 7 year old talked about how nice “Mrs Catherine” was throughout the entire road trip from VA to GA. So she definitely left a lasting impression of REMARKABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Room was great + clean with the comfiest bed + pillows!
The staff were wonderful, especially Chelsea who made us feel like we were catching up with an old friend ☺ (got some good Netflix recommendations for the flight too!)

I usually don’t leave reviews but I have to. The front desk a manger Sherrie was amazing and very accommodating. The room was great. If you want great service and a nice stay in Richmond, make sure you come here !

Very Happy!!! Rooms are very clean and up to date. The staff is very professional, friendly and helpful as well! Breakfast Is fulfilling my favorite sausage and gravy and the choice of turkey items if your not a pork eater. The indoor pool is clean and warm. Lobby is very comfortable and quite. I was able to get my reports in with no interruptions. Looking forward to the chance to stay there again!!!

No complaints. Some interactions with the staff felt a little snappy but not anything overtly rude. The room was not exceptionally clean but not anything to complain about. The bed is wonderful. The pool was acceptable for a hotel pool. The WiFi was surprisingly good.

The definitely are in the middle of a remodel. However that has not affected my stay. I was put in one of the newly-remodeled rooms, smells great, bed is amazing, plenty of outlets and plug-ins for charging devices. And great air conditioning! Check in was a breeze and looking forward to a great night sleep.

Fantastic property. We had a late flight came in after midnight they picked us up with a smile that guy was so friendly at almost 1 A.M. The ck in girl was sweet and the rest of the staff also friendly. It goes to show what a GREAT general manager they have. She stopped and talked to us in her busy day. That's what every business needs friendly employees. Thank U for a great stay.

Love this place! The front desk staff was great with my 2 year old and even remembered his name when we checked out. Plus, Kia was amazing when my son locked me out of the bathroom. She was even scrubbing spilled wine out of two elevators and two floors. What an amazing experience!!!! Will definitely stay here again.

Kids had fun seeing a huge airplane from the hotel, and the female staff in the dining area was so kind to my kids. My kids were so happy to get fresh cookies from her. Such an amazing staff working there and we will be back again.

Manager & staff exceptionally helpful & pleasant. I've spent 5 days a week here for many months & had many different rooms, all of them very clean & nice. They have really comfortable new beds n all rooms. I would recommend this Hol-Inn to everyone.

Floretta was such an angel!! We had a major issue with the Candlewood hotel that was down the street, no one showed up to check us in for our reservation we had made two months in advanced and had also called the day before to confirm our late arrival from the airport. We ended up walking to the Holiday Inn that was half a mile down the street. Floretta was so kind to us and made us feel so comfortable when we showed up to her hotel and even called her manager to see if there was anything to do for our inconvenience even through it wasn't even their hotel we had issues at. Next time we fly into Richmond we will be sure to stay at this Holiday Inn and hopefully be greeted by Floretta so we can thank her again for all her help

This is a solid hotel for a reasonable price. I would put this as a 4/5 but because of the service I received, this is 5 stars. Nicole, whom checked me in, was extremely kind and professional. There was a customer in front of me that showed great frustration due to circumstances out of Nicole’s control. Nicole reacted very well, helped defuse the situation and was solution oriented. She also did not allow the negativity of the customer in front of me to impact how she interacted with me. Thank you Nicole for exemplifying true customer care!

I had the literal BEST experience I’ve ever had at a hotel here! The staff was very friendly and more welcoming than I’ve ever experienced at any other hotel, the rooms were clean and nice, and the breakfast was hands down the best I’ve ever been offered included in a hotel stay. I would 100% stay here again!
