What more can you say about a magical location that makes you glad you moved I. Down the street? First time we walk through the tunnel not expecting the incredible view of the Milwaukee River, the beautiful surrounding forest and to our utter surprise and delight a German beer garden complete with liter beers, pretzels and sausages. The adjoining bike and hiking trails complete an already incredible Spring, Summer and Fall experience. The citizens of Shorewood and beyond are fortunate to have this gem of a location at our disposal.

Such a nice hidden site in the area. Tonight the park was so pleasant and peaceful it reminded me just how much I adore this place. With its history, beinf located along the river, trails through woods, old infrastructure, Beer Garden and Lodge available, there is a lot to do & see if you aren't only in the mood to walk a long pathways or use trails & explore the woods.

Great place to take a hike by the river and grab some food/beer/wine when you are done.

Nice and friendly environment. Excellent selection of beer. The brunch on Sunday is the best (buffet style). Overlooking the Milwaukee river with heated outdoor tents makes this place a must-see.

Hubbard Park is my favorite place in Shorewood. I love how it's kind of tucked away between the Oak Leaf Trail and the Milwaukee River. The views of the river are so peaceful. I got married there right at the river's edge in 2019 and it was absolutely perfect. Been back many times for brunch at Hubbard Park Lodge and the beer garden in the summer. The parking lot is super convenient too.

Hidden Biergarten off of the Oak Leaf Trail near Shorewood. Surrounded by beautiful trees! The vibe is very calm and relaxing. They have lots of tables and bike racks. We have been here several times and love it. You can rent a cabana with a screen to keep bugs out. Only tip...bring bug spray. It's buggy since it's surrounded by nature.

Shhh... Don't tell anyone about this one of a kind MKE beer garden. Food too!

Beautiful hidden away little park along the river, just off the bike path. There is a beer garden and a lodge space that has an awesome fish fry on Fridays. There's great trails for mountain biking or hiking. It's a nice place to hangout by yourself or with the family ❤
There isn't a playground, but the kids and I go there all the time to hike and hangout by the River. They also have a summer concert series that is always a good time.

what a hidden gem! very relaxing

We were walking the Oak Leaf Trail and saw that the beer garden was open. It was early on Thursday afternoon...2:30 pm. We stopped and had a beer. This is one of the gems of Milwaukee. Great fish fry too.

It's an easygoing shaded beer garden. It's like being at camp for the day where the canteen serves pretzels and a decent little beer selection. The facilities might be a little primitive and a little out of date - but who cares.

Excellent shaded and sunny hikes. You forget you are in the city at all. River sounds are a nice background. Bring the right shoes for uneven terrain, although if you are less adventurous you can walk all day on pavement. Unpaved trails are well maintained and well marked. You really can't get lost. On a Covid Saturday it was not crowded and everyone we passed was open to a socially distanced wave and greeting. Midwest nice survives. Oh, if you stay on pavement expect to compete with bicyclists. If you like to partake, Humboldt Park beer garden is wonderful too. Beer by the liter and lots of choices.

Quaint, hidden park offering old forest trees and peaceful river views. Trails follow the river and my favorite beer garden in the city is tucked away from the bustle of the city. Shorewood offers many programs here including a summer concert series and art fair.

I am a visitor to Milwaukee, and this place is one of the top spots I fell in love with! An absolutely lo Ely park, located right on the river, with....a beer garden! Oh man! Trees, flowers, and you MUST try out the weekend brunch in the rustic style restaurant! Fresh fried donut holes brought to the table, the bloody marys are delish, and the omelets are cooked fresh with loads of fresh ingredients available. Don't miss out on this fantastic location! If I lived in Milwaukee, I would be here alllll the time!

Hubbard park is a great area to access the Milwaukee River. Recently, the Milwaukee River has improved greatly! The fishing is fun and there's a great trail along it from downtown all the way north through estabrook! Hubbard park is generally not busy (aside from beer garden season). Probably my favorite spot along the river!
