Bolts Electric Contractors installed a whole-house generator for us. To ensure that my unit got installed on time, the owner was incredibly accommodating and went the extra mile. This included arranging for my installation to take place on a Saturday, which was beyond what I had expected. The team were both knowledgeable and polite. In the end, I was thrilled with the results and would definitely recommend them to others.

The crew recently completed a job with hard work and integrity. As soon as they arrived, they got right to work and managed to set everything up in just 20 minutes. I needed to replace some obsolete breaker panels in a duplex. I called Bolts based on their reviews. I spoke to a call-taker answering service sales person, who told me they could have a technician come to my home for an estimate the following day, but told me I would be charged $125 for a service call. Because they were coming the next day, I agreed to pay.
After verifying my appointment, the call-taker then tried to talk me into signing up for a program where I would receive $10 off any future service calls and be put on a list of "priority customers", at a cost of $149 per year. Not knowing anything about the company, I declined to sign up but said I would talk to the tech about it. Within a short time, I received both a text and an email confirming my next day appointment, and saying a technician would call by phone.
The next day, no phone call and the tech was a No Show at the agreed on time.
I called the next morning, to ask why they failed to show up or call. The call taker told me all the technicians were tied up on a big commercial project, and weren't available. The next opening they had was during the following week.
They could have at least called and explained. I chose to find a different company, as Bolts has proven they can't be counted on to do as they promise

We had a technician come to our home for a service call. We were initially pleased by the same day service. They were able to diagnose the problem we were having and provided a quote for the project fairly quickly. However the tech did not wear a mask while in our home. And they complained about us paying the initial service charge with a credit card rather than cash.

Despite this, we were still interested in having the project completed because it needed to be urgently completed before winter. We had some additional questions about the quote, and then when we called the main office they reported that we should call the technician directly for more info. Seemed reasonable so we called. Upon calling the technician at their previously provided number, I verbally berated by this person for calling them.

In calling the main office to report this interaction, everyone I spoke with was detached and indifferent regarding the situation. A message was passed onto the customer service manager who called back several hours later. They had no apology and only explanation was that the worker may have been sharing the phone with someone else. There was literally no concern about their employees or people answering their employee's phones yelling at customers.

WORST ever! They showed up hours late first day. Took the day off the second. Late the third with the wrong part. Left to get the correct part and simply never returned. They had shut the power off toy broken main breaker and weren't able to get it back on before leaving, when I texted them reminding them they never even responded. UNPROFESSIONAL!

I called and asked for an estimate informing them we were a few blocks away and was quoted $120 to come out. I told them the entire job would be less than that. He said "ok, bye" and hung up on me.

Tried calling and number keeps saying disconnected or no longer in service. So I sent a message and it has been over a week and never heard back.
