Sebastian Train Depot

I love the new owners and what they have done with the restaurant! They sell lots of local art including their own embroidered towels and shirts etc. Today I stopped in for their new homemade meatballs sandwich and it was absolutely fantastic 👌 I am a hard critic of meatballs, they were not over powering, moist and tender. I love their dipping egg sandwich (my personal name for it), great idea! And I also frequent for the Ruben sandwich. The potato salad is also great with nothing over powering. It has great decor, atmosphere and friendly staff. The ice cream is delicious 😋 Prices are comparable to other local restaurants.

I must say, I've lived in IRC all my life and never been here. I was very impressed. The place is very neat and clean. There are a lot of hotdog and sandwich choices.
I got a Cuban sandwich. It was probably one of the best I've had in a while. My Grandmother wanted to take me here, she got a custom hotdog. However, she claims they have the best hotdogs in town, she's been her all her life. Decent coleslaw too.
Very much looking forward to going back and trying out some other menu items. I am a glutton for smoked fish dip. And the milkshakes look good as well.
Please check this place out, bring your kids, it's definitely a family friendly place. There's a bell next to the back door, be sure to ring it.

Awesome little spot with soft ice cream, sundaes, hot dogs and other perfect picnic faves. We got milkshakes! Very nice people running the joint, and it wasn’t too busy on a Tuesday post-lunchtime. Lots of space on the rear porch area and seating along each side. We also noticed tons of picnic tables all over near the side parking lot, across the street, and on the grass around that area there.

So much to love about the owner-opperated Sebastian Train Depot. Not only are their prices exceptional, they are also uniquely vegan friendly for the area. They offer a vegan hot dog option--the Daytona, minus coleslaw--which is a sauted and grilled carrot that beats every fake-meat vegan dog I've ever had. They were so good we went back for seconds. We finished with dessert, a swirl of cherry and orange dairy free vegan ice cream that was perfectly creamy and bursting with flavor. At $4.50 for the dog and under $3 for the ice cream, this has to be the most affordable place in the county. The ice cream portions are huge. In addition to great food and great prices, the establishment itself has character and a story. The building is an actual train depot dating back to the late 1800s which was renovated, on the inside, by the business owner himself. Cutting against the normal corporate grain of things, the owner was on the cash register and managing things when we visited. You can tell that he takes a lot of pride in his business, as he should. Another bonus is that they're open until 11pm, one hour later than the brewery across the street.

The Sebastian Train Depot is a fun place with great food! It's very unique and there's nothing else like its atmosphere in Sebastian. It is the original Train Depot that once sat next to Main Street for the Sebastian station. The building is from the 1890s. They serve hotdogs, sandwiches, desserts, etc. We like the fish dip, Ultimate Grilled Cheese, and any of their hotdogs! Everything is great at this place. Want real ice cream? Go to this place. They also have baked goods like cookies and brownies. They offer indoor and outdoor seating.

Amazing! Went for our first visit today. Specifically for ice cream. Banana Split & Sift Serve Dip. Yummmmy!
Definitely returning for Hot Dogs. But will keep going tell we eat everything on the menu. It’s smells amazing when they are cooking. Seats 24 inside. Atmosphere is great, good music, friendly staff.
We got there just in time, as we sat down with our order, the line was out the door.
Outside they have a display case with the History of the building.

Delicious soup, up north Kaiser rolls for you’re breakfasts sandwiches. This is literally the saving grace of sebastian all we have around us is bland food, but this place reminds me of home in every way, my girls from Jersey and the pork roll reminds her of the shore, if you’re looking for delicious food this is the place to go! The old owners were great as well but everyone complaining change is good! And if the old place was killing it they wouldn’t of sold embrace a little bit of change in our town not everything has to be auto parts stores and bland food! Don’t mess up a great thing by being close minded

Update: another lunch and another 5 star experience

I have been promising my old mom to visit this place for ice cream...her favorite treat..
and today was perfect! The sandwiches are well made and delicious. the banana split was just the right size and perfect! Such a great history behind this building.

Very polite staff. I had the chili cheese and onion dog and my wife had the ultimate grilled cheese. It was good.

Incredible food, comfortable atmosphere, friendly owners and staff. Will definitely be back, 10/10 would recommend.

Everyone is still just as friendly, respectful, and above all the food, well it isn't known for being the place that sold out all their food on the opening day for false reasons!

Great place to stop for some great hotdogs and ice cream. Love how they use Martin's Potato Rolls and have so many different toppings. Been here a couple times and always super nice staff.

The breakfast sandwich and açaí bowl were fantastic!! Great people! Will definitely be back!

Beautiful place with indoor and outdoor Seating. Haven't had a Cuban Sandwich this good in a while.

Finally made it into this place after hearing so many good things about it. Well, I wasn't disappointed. As a matter of fact, it was even better than I expected. It's location, both its outside and inside quaintness, food, employees and the owner are all top notch yet laid back in a good, old fashioned, train station kinda way.
I obviously went in for a dog but quickly realized they have other great choices as well....from nachos to the Cuban sandwich. Additionally, they have specialized coffee choices, great ice cream ( chocolate and vanilla ) and likely some other good choices I didn't notice. I tried the ice cream and a cold coffee drink. I think it was a Frappuccino. Damn good, as was the hot dog, potato salad and ice cream. The owner was there. She is a very nice lady who really cares about the customer's experience and providing good food, ice cream and coffee products.
Great experience, nice location and unique place with good folks at the helm.

Prices went up some for the soft serve an the size went way down. Also the hot dog was barely warm an not a sole in sight. The time was between 3:30-4:00. The person taking our order said that we just missed the rush they had. Still more reason that our dogs were barely warm.

I have been here 2x now in the past couple of weeks. The first time it was a little busy, nothing bad, and they were very friendly and efficient. This time was the same! The owner is just a great guy. You can tell he loves his place and wants others to really like it too. It's a great little piece of history and it's so cute! They have peaceful seating outside too! The right amount of shade, sun and view. Now for their food. I don't normally like hotdogs, but these are worth it. They aren't fancy but they are good. If your in the mood for steak n shake, go here instead their ice cream and food is sooo much better. 😋 plus you also get to help support a great small business and history at the same time as getting great service, good food and good views.
