Baptist Health-Fort Smith Heliport

I have been very sick for a little less than a week with fever and sore throat etc. Last night was my absolute breaking point and I ended up in the ER.. I hate hospitals but today I was very pleasantly surprised.
I wanted to thank everyone that helped me, from the sweet girls that did my triage, to the male nurses that did their part, Matt and Steven Lee Mcdonald APRN. I felt you guys went over and above for me and I greatly appreciate it. There is another guy that deserves 5 stars of appreciation! A young male nurse but I didn't catch his name! He knows who he is! Thank you, too! 💘
Please acknowledge and praise your front line workers STILL! They are working extra hard to help others and I saw it first hand today for myself. Tell them THANK YOU..

I have had my ups & downs with this place. But to go in, in excruciating pain my side and lungs.(I have COPD, I'm very sensitive in this area since childhood.) And be sent home told "Bronchitis". Excuse me I have chronic bronchitis & just last week told walking phnemonia. To be sent home (with pain shot & 5 expensive scripts.) Then My Chart tells me I have dislocated ribs, pluerisy, a abnormal ECG, rib fractures seen involving the left forth, fifth and sixth ribs. I'm in allot of pain and sent home. With steroid a low dose nsaid and nothing for pain for this.

My Alzheimers suffering relative sat in the ER waiting room for 10 HOURS! If not for Abby her main nurse I wouldn't even give 2 Stars.
The nurses and staff I interacted with were fine people but severely overwhelmed with the sheer volume of patients and lack of employees.
Prompt, good Healthcare is difficult to get anywhere the last few years and I place little blame on the employees.
Lock your car, even while you're sitting in it because this hospital is not located in a nice area. I had an addict knock on my car window wanting money.
Hmmm, why so few reviews on this hospital ?????
