El Paso Mexican Grill

Wife and I usually stop here when we are in Monroe and it has not disappointed us yet.
The wife ordered fajitas while I ordered the enchiladas. This is the only place I’ve need here in Central Louisiana that serves bean dip with the chips and and salsa.
Our waiter was polite and helpful, attentive but not hovering.
We’ll be back again in a few months and look forward to stopping in again.

Great location and plenty of parking. There are several seating areas, bar, inside, and outside. Morgan was our hostess, and although she was new, she was pretty cool. The Happy Plate is great. Large servings, leftovers highly likely. Their burritos are pretty good. Cold draft beer. They could do a better job of cleaning the dining area, being that we saw 4-5 staffers at the front of the restaurant standing around and talking. That's a reflection of management.

11/23/22: We stopped by for an early dinner, sat at the bar, and Sophia was bartending. She was very friendly and knew her regulars. I had a ice cold draft beer and she had a Margarita. The sampler platter was good, except for the chicken tenders. The salsa that came with the chips was very good. We had a better experience sitting at the bar with Sophia and that other times we had sat in the dining room. Will likely continue to sit at the bar during future visits, and looking forward to Sophia taking care of us.
2023: We usually stop here while visiting Monroe. The food is great and made to order. We enjoy sitting at the bar and Sophia is always welcoming. The atmosphere is great. Sometimes they have live music. If something is not right, the staff is quick to correct it. There are plenty of sitting areas inside, and they have a large outdoor patio.

Love love love this place. Our absolute favorite place to eat in Monroe. The guacamole cant be beat and the service is always on point!

Oh and if you want the best dessert of your life, try their banana cheesecake chimachanga!!

Great food and nice/attentive servers. The restaurant is well-maintained in everything from their seating areas to their restrooms (perfectly clean!). The prices and specials are also super affordable. I've had a great time here with my friends every time I've come!

AMAZING! DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER! This restaurant has amazing food amazing portions price just right. The food flavor it's off the hook and that place was clean. The servers are well-trained do their job well we really enjoyed it👍🏾

Really had a good experience. They happily accommodated our party of 30 for our mother's 70th birthday. ALEJANDRO was our waiter. We kept calling him Alex. He was very good, very attentive. Food was great and enjoyed the night. Will definitely be back.

Great food, very nice inside, way cleaner than last place. Live band was playing good music when we were here Friday night. Slight wait, but was seated in reasonable time. Highly recommend eating here.

Best Chicken tacos I can recall. Lots of flavor. Very spacious. Can accommodate large groups. A little pricier than other local, Mexican restaurants.

We came in about 11:30 in the morning. They asked if they had coffee still they should know, but they surely made it the puréed black beans was on point. I had a Carne Asada street tacos. They were delicious.

This is my first time visiting El Paso in Monroe and it was very nice excellent food and nice portions

Excellent food. This place is always great. Kitchen had food out in like 10 mins.

The waitresses are super nice and friendly, fast service, tipped waitress twice because of how good she was, kepted drinks topped off. The food was delicious and satisfying. Would recommend friends and family to eat there.

Pretty standard Mexican restaurant. They also bring out bean dip with the chips and salsa. Ordering the items a la carte is sometimes much cheaper than ordering a dinner. (They occasionally have live music and drink specials.)
