Dwelling Place Church

Personally my husband and I have know the pastors from a while back, 12+ years, they are true shepherds. We join the church around the time of the pandemic and we truly feel that we are being push constantly to grow in knowledge, love and maturity in Christ. My family and I (4 kids ages 7/5/3/2 ) are blessed to call this place our second home🏡 And walk hand in hand with such an amazing congregation.

Very friendly people; a church which feels like home. There are two pastors who are very knowledgeable and both preach beautifully. This non-denominational church combines the Word of God and the Spirit of God, yet is very mission-oriented! There are enrichment classes to equip the believer, various connect groups, and many service opportunities which serve the surrounding community. So very glad the Lord has led us to this church!!

Been going to Dwelling Place for over 4 years now, and we LOVE IT! It’s such an amazing place to worship, gather, fellowship and hear/learn the word of God! The two pastors each have their own unique style of preaching, and they’re both tremendously blessed at delivering Gods word! There are many ways to serve within the church and in those groups we’re able to serve our community, and have fun! We’d love to have you!

We have been worshipping with Dwelling Place Church now for over 5 years and we are so grateful for the teaching, leading and fellowship we have with the people there. Our family of 6 has been welcomed, loved, accepted and encouraged in serval different facets throughout the years in many different ways, individually and as a family. We love all that God is doing at Dwelling Place Church and we are so excited to see all He has in the coming weeks, months and years.

For years I was in a mainline denomination and believed that I understood what it meant to follow Christ. I did not realize how lacking I was both in knowledge and understanding of the Word. I have grown so much in my walk with Christ since attending Dwelling Place. The pastors at DP are dedicated to, and very intentional about, teaching the truth that’s in the Bible, not a watered down version of it that you might here elsewhere. The people are amazing, and have been a great source of support for my family and I during a recent need. Walking through this life as a disciple of Jesus is often not an easy thing, but being in a church that teaches you how to rely on the Holy Spirit and supports you through your trials is one of the gifts God provides for us as believers. Dwelling Place is family to me. Been part of it for almost 6 years. Have never been part of a church where I was so welcomed, valued and discipled like I have been. If you want to be part of a Christ centered community where you’re constantly being challenged, encouraged and loved come join us. My life would not be the same without this community. I’m forever grateful for Dwelling Place Church.

The first thing you notice as you walk in is the people. They make you feel welcomed and right at home. DP also offers many opportunities that will allow and help you to grow in discipleship, growth phases being one of them, and every teaching is very biblical. If you are looking for a healthy, Christ-centered community, you have found it.

Me and my wife started attending here about 5 years now. We at the time were searching to be a part of a church that was more than only attending sunday and we found Dwelling place church to be that place. We deepened our relationship with Christ, through discipleship classes that help understand what it means to follow him. In that we have also have a community of friends and family now!

Dwelling Place Church is home.

No matter what life throws at me, DP has been there through every step of the way. We’re not meant to do life alone and our church is committed to coming along side you in the valleys and the mountain tops. If you’re looking for a place to grow spiritually and get connected to a loving community, this is the place.

This church has become a second home to my family. The pastors are incredible and loving, everyone is friendly and willing to serve, and the children's ministry is fun and engaging for the kids. So glad we call this church home!

For the person hungry to know God and learn the Bible, I highly recommend this church. In 2017, my life was in ruins. I was addicted to heroin, homeless and recently separated from my wife. Out of desperation to have a new start, know God and have a second chance with her, I moved from Louisville, Kentucky to Atlanta, Georgia. For the first 6 weeks, I was living in my van but holding a new job. After seeing my resolve to work, they put me into my own apartment and paid first and last months rent! This paved the way for my wife to return and us reconcile.

Shortly afterwards, I decided to enroll in their hands-on school of discipleship. This is an intensive spiritual growth initiative that consists of four phases. For foundation phase, I learned how to respond correctly to the gospel, the significance of the who Jesus is and what He accomplished for His people. For transformation phase, I learned to apply what the finished work made available for us to my life. This made it possible to address issues tied to my family of origin that were created relational conflict in my marriage. She says thanks, by the way LOL. As I moved on to formation phase, I learned the importance of community and developing healthy relationship with others. Belonging to a people and learning what it means to act like us helped form character in me that I didn't get growing up. Finally, Impartation phase was about God working through us in the way that He dreamed before we were born. Walking in the power of the Spirit while led by the leaders in community was the theme.

After spending almost two years at this church, I formed a strong relationship with Jesus, experienced freedom from addiction and had my marriage restored. After getting multiple promotions at a job in Atlanta, I decided to find a local church close to my job and eventually started a ministry for people in recovery. Yet most of this can be tied to having pastors that teach me the word of God, care about being faithful over being famous, and do the un-applauded work of teaching the bible to hungry believers with a focus on helping them mature spiritually. What they have imparted into my life remains with me to this day. I'll forever be grateful to their leadership and their love. Where do I even begin? From the moment I walked in the doors for the first time I felt the Holy Spirit. Been a proud member of this wonderfully Christ centered community for years. Extremely anointed pastors and leadership team. Love my DPC family!

What an amazing church! Felt welcomed / accepted from the moment I walked in the doors 7 years ago & have called it Home ever since. My family has loved being deeply connected to everyone in the community. We couldn't imagine going anywhere else!

This has been our home for 7 years now. DP found me as a lost and searching college student at KSU. I fell in love with the community and discipleship immediately. This is my family and home. I highly recommend being a part. There is truly a place for everyone here to grow and become all Christ has for you.

There is a level of love and community I have never experienced before coming to DP. The love of God just exudes from the whole place. It’s really hard to NOT feel at home here. Bible based preaching and teaching that doesn’t conform to the culture, but also tells the truth with much love and grace. Come check us out! We can’t wait to see you!!

My family and I love this church and the TRUTH that we receive here. They offer Growth Phases classes - it's a great way for someone new and not very knowledgeable to learn and grow in faith. I took all 4 and it has really helped me understand the Bible and myself better. Services are great - the pastors and members are kind and welcoming.

Dwelling Place is filled with loving people who genuinely care for you the minute you walk in. The Word is preached in a wholistic way and they provide tools for you to engage in the rest of the week. We are 6 years in and love our community.

I met Jesus at this church. The community is the most welcoming I’ve ever seen at a church and they actually have full on discipleship classes that you can take on a Thursday night! Dwelling Place is awesome!

I have never been so blessed by a community. The leadership team does nothing but encourage growth and empower its body to do the same in their communities. I'm proud to call this church my home.
