SOUTH SHORE ATHLETIC CLUB-YIM

This place is really affordable and such a good environment to get a work out in! The court is free in the mornings where I can get my laps in and then work out after. So many new renovations and such polite people. I used to go when it was the YIM so I’m excited to see any new changes the owner has for this place it really needed it and so far they’ve done great!

This is one of the only gyms in the milwaukee area that has everything you could think of plus some! My favorite part is the Woman’s Only gym, the privacy and comfort to be able to work out and not feel like I’m missing on anything is truly amazing. The staff is so helpful and the other amenities make everything worth it. Keep up the great work!

Very friendly staff, super helpful! The equipment is all new and very clean. The basketball court was renovated as well. Great environment for working out and swimming.

SSAC is a great facility! Beautiful pool, lots of well-maintained exercise equipment, hot tub, gym and lots more. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Place is pretty clear and safe. Has men's, women's, boys and girls locker rooms. You should try it!

This place is amazing! Big pools, newly renovated basketball court, and brand new clean machines in the weight room. Staff is always friendly and happy to help out. Very affordable, especially considering the quality! Love this gym, best one around!

Amazing gym! Super clean and professional, all new weight room and basketball court. Everything is renovated and brand new, including all of the workout machines, I’m very impressed. I joined a year ago. My friends who belong SSAC , love the atmosphere and I see how well all the machines are maintained . The staff is excellent !! Friendly very helpful. And I love the swimming pools! Honestly one reason I joined . The hot tub & pool is maintained and clean and all supervised . And from lockers rooms to basketball courts to class rooms for yoga etc . Are so clean Great teachers . I am very very comfortable here at SSAC . And I have 2 friends joining . Thank - You Andrea Vlasis

Today I had a great time with my friends in this clean facility. Especially we enjoyed swimming in the pool. There are many opportunities to spend your weekend and burn calories
My favorite was the whirlpool hottub. Also they have very kind staff members. I will go there again soon. A place you must see.👌

Cleanest gym. Every staff member is so helpful! I think SSAC is a great facility because there is a lot of options to work out and also lots of things for your whole family. In addition the pool inside is great for adults and kids. I highly recommend SSAC.

Place was great. Had a gym. There was a court to play basketball as well. Workout section. And a pool. Pool was great, included a hot tub, children's pool, and a large pool. Pool temperature was great as well. Will come again.

I always enjoy going and getting in a good workout here. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. They all definitely know their stuff and it's nice being able to go to them for support and guidance with my fitness goals. I highly recommend this athletic club and I especially recommend their personal training, it's the reason I go.

It is a great gym under new ownership. Lots of new improvements and renovations. I had a chance to have a day pass since I don’t live in the area but would have definitely have the membership if I lived at the area. Very affordable, Recommend everyone

I am a staff at YIM South Shore. This place has had a really tough time after Covid hit many local businesses, but a few months ago a new manager was hired. He with the help of the rest of the staff have been doing their best to keep everything up to date and keep pushing through. They are hoping to rebrand this place and get new equipment for this place that I as an employee am aware has been a real struggle. This place is doing pretty great for the cards it has been dealt. We as staff are taught to talk to everyone and our members with respect and have been getting trained basically every week to better our selves as employees and this facility as a whole. There is the obvious problems that are taking longer to fix but our manager has been great in acknowledging them all and trying to find the more feasible options. We are planning to start a 24 hour gym, we have re-done the parking lot, we have increased member sales, we give sanitized bottles and towels for all our members, and we have one of the best membership prices around the area. I hope everyone lets us know how they feel about this place so we can continue bettering the facility for everyone.

The weight room has had a major revamp and can compete with other quality, big name gyms around Wisconsin. The rest of the gym is still a work in progress but talking to the owners you can really see the improvement and dedication they have to rebrand and modernize the facility. They have major changes that they plan on doing and continue fixing and updating things everyday which is promising to see. I gave this gym a 5 rating because even though right now they still have work to be done, they are committed to make the facility a better place. Based on the reconstruction of the weight room and how well they’ve done that, I am confident in saying that the rest of the gym will in the future compete with any gym in Wisconsin. Plus the trainers are all incredibly easy to talk to and more importantly will get you to where you want to be.

Have been going to this gym for the last few months and I would recommend checking it out! I have noticed a lot of effort to keep the place clean and safe. They have spray bottles and towels for each member while you’re there. Additionally, the gym itself appears clean and taken care of. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. I love all variety of areas at the gym: weight room, cardio equipment, studio, basketball courts, pool and hot tub. I can tell that the gym is making positive changes to update the space, which is exciting!

I love going swimming at the Yim South Shore! With the new Management, it just keep getting better and better!!! The Team Members give great Guest Service!! The Lobby is remolded,and freshly painted! It looks great! The Club is very clean,Locker room, and shower Area very clean, especially since Covid started.I see staff doing extra cleaning, and infection control cleaning!! The Pool area is also very clean,and the Whirl pool is the cleanest I've seen. The water is clear,and there is No white Foam, or residue,when jets are running! They have a lot of classes,and also Personal Trainers available!! Thank you,for everything!

I recommend becoming a member here. New equipment and various activities throughout. The staff are also very friendly! This is a great place to hang out with friends/family due to the many activities offered (basketball, boxing, swimming, racket ball, sauna room, Zumba, dance/workout, and more). Also, a great place to work out alone. They host holiday events and workout challenges pretty often, which are cool and engaging.

I love the South Shore Athletic Club! They upgraded all of the gym equipment and have a better interior now. I had a very good experience here. Overall it’s my favorite place to go. Best gym in Wisconsin :)

I started going here when my usual place was closed due to covid.
My old gym has reopened and is closer to my house, but I enjoy the people here. I will continue going here. A great place to work out. I love the water aerobics. Friendly staff.
