Great place to walk and see Lake Michigan from up above. A lot of cool hidden ravines you can explore. Beautiful Lighthouse and amazing houses to see in the neighborhood.

Walking through this large (138-acres) and lovely park, a jewel of the Milwaukee County Parks system, on the first of our weekly walks, with my friend and long-time nearby resident, I could say I knew this was one of 3 Milwaukee County parks designed by Frederick Law Olmstead who also designed New York City's Central Park. My friend told me about the 56 benches with poems about nature on them. They were installed and promoted by the Lake Park Friends 26 years ago. This is called the Frederick Law Olmstead's Poets Walk that meanders for over 4 miles and connects Newberry Blvd to Riverside Park also designed by Olmstead, along with Humboldt Park. The park is well maintained and attracts plenty of visitors, walkers, cyclists, nature lovers, picnickers, golfers, joggers. Evidence has shown that walking in nature reduces stress and instills in us a sense of calmness and I walk in nature as often as I can.

Great park in the suburbs of Milwaukee. Tons of shaded trails, wide concrete paths and across the street is the Lake Michigan to enjoy. We walked several of the paths for a nice 3 mile walk. Very dog friendly and at no point felt unsafe.

We didn't go into the museum/lighthouse but just walking around was beautiful!! It was very cold when we stopped by so we just went on a very quick walk to see the area, there was also a golf course very close to it.

I'll be very honest. I have never seen one of the Great Lakes before. So I didn't want to miss a chance to see Lake Michigan! This park was easy to find on Google maps as the red dot was basics right on the water. What was the most pleasing was that this park allows for many different levels and view of Lake Michigan. It was a great stop!

I adore this park. The layout is excellent for walking, biking, running, hiking, or even playing sports. It’s especially beautiful in the Fall when the leaves turn. The lighthouse is fun to look at, and it’s located in such a great spot with beautiful views of the lake.

There is a $8 ticket for the museum and you can go up to the lighthouse to have a scenic view from the top, parking is free.
It is a beautiful spot, worth visiting, I liked the place.

If you have never done this, everybody must do the January 1st polar bear, Bradford Beach experience. It was 24 degrees with 30 mile an hour winds. A bit chilly, but great to watch the waves crashing into the people jumping into the lake. Pull up a bench and enjoy along with the great book called Bacon Gone Bad, by Brigette DuVal-Begos, you can find it on Amazon, thebookbatch, and eBay. Tell our next outing...

A beautifully kept park with great views overlooking the beach and out to the lake. A golf course is within as well as paved and unpaved trails. There are many Pokemon Go stops which make this area quite popular.

Had never explored this area of Milwaukee before and went for a really long afternoon walk one of the first days it was over 32* this winter. I was coming from the East Side, so I took a loop through the park and then across by the lake, and it was so unexpectedly awesome.

Loved it, seeing the Eight Lions Bridges and the sculpture of Brigadier General Wolcott was really cool and the mansions, light house and water tower were great. We really love the area.

Since moving back to Milwaukee in 2016, and working nearby, Lake Park has become my go-to park for lunch walks, after work runs, getting out in nature.

The County puts money into this park, and the Friends of Lake Park are also to thank for projects like the stone waterfall, new tree plantings, and more. The Monday night concert series in the summer has a nice variety of musical artists, and the Sprecher traveling beer garden usually stops in Lake Park for a few weeks.

Tennis courts are kept up, there's a great playground for kids, and this is one of Milwaukee's best parks! 5-star update.

Beautiful to walk around and many little trails to discover. The ravine north house trail is the one we took. Short and sweet walk.
