My in laws became unable to take of their own affairs, and my father in law was a veteran, and so my wife and I hired Scott Solkoff to handle their elder law matters. We could not have been happier with Scott........professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and he made the entire process so easy for us. Met with Scott Solkoff for what was a thorough initial consultation regarding Medicaid and estate planning. Atty Brandon Arkin of Scott’s staff is our assigned attorney. Brandon is professional, polite and personable and listened intently to our concerns during our meetings. We engaged the Solkoff team to help my dad get on Medicaid as quickly as possible- we had heard there was currently a 2 1/2 year waiting list for approval, and that many applications were rejected several; times before approval was granted. The team worked very quickly and got an application submitted in record time, and it was approved in record time.

However, the team continuously went above and beyond. Legal assistant Amber Ledbury was incredibly helpful and patient while getting us ready to move foreword, and always responded quickly. Attorney Brandon Arkin aggressively represented us when the local skilled nursing facility where my father had been for months tried to tell us there were no Medicaid beds available. After he intervened they quickly changed their tune.

Finally, benefits coordinator Kate Macaluso was incredibly efficient as she prepared and submitted our application within one week! She also helped us open a Qualified Income Trust to ensure we would qualify for Medicaid benefits.
Bottom line- For Elder Law, you can't do better than this.
