I cannot say enough about this restaurant. After seeing excellent reviews, my daughter and I tried it. We split the Dottie’s special, two eggs, meat, and home fries with two cat head biscuits and a side of pancakes. The food and service was excellent. Two hours later , I discovered my credit card was missing. We retraced our steps back to Dottie’s. There was a couple sitting at the table we had been seated at. The employees asked the couple if they would mind standing, and the card was in the corner of the booth. They are so kind. Please visit for breakfast and lunch when in Helen, Georgia. Their food, and service is amazing!!!

Old fashion country breakfast. I have traveled to every state in the south, I like in texas and they have top three biscuits I've ever tried. Huge soft and crispy "Cat Head biscuits" ( because they are the size of a cats head). Sop up a little gravy and you can't go wrong. I could have eaten this every day that we where in Helen! A must try place for a southern breakfast!

Ok, now I know what a cat's head biscuit is. Spoiler Alert: actual cats are not served here, sorry! The meals that are served might be embarrassing because you might lick the plate! Very friendly crew. Nice delicious place to eat.

Awesome bacon and egg cheese biscuit with gravy !! The coffee was great too ! Sure friendly staff !! I will definitely be going back here for breakfast.

Great breakfast joint, no wait staff, you get in line to order your food, make your drinks, then sit & eat. Delicious biscuits!!

Food is fantastic. Biscuits are best you can get. Get in early for the Biscuits and gravy!

Amazing food and atmosphere We got the Special that has the Cat head Biscuit, biggest biscuit I've ever seen very soft and buttery. The hash brown casserole was the most tasty and cheesy, a delightful. My fiance got gravy on his biscuit and he said was delicious. I like it was ordered and paid at the same time that way we were out faster and started the rest of our day.

Apparently, this was the place to be this morning as many of the breakfast items are almost all sold out. They serve breakfast all day or until they run out. The squash casserole was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

The "cathead biscuits" are heavenly.worth the trip to Helen just for these.
Sadly they did not have a cat on hand for me to compare the biscuits to their head.

Great breakfast today!! Just a short walk from where we stayed and worth the walk in the rain! The staff was very friendly and the food is buffet style but the staff serve it on the plate for you. When they say cathead biscuits they aren't joking! The biscuits are not only huge, they are so good! You have to get the hash brown casserole! The best I've ever had! I wish I could've tried everything! My girlfriend had the brisket biscuit and it was spot on very well done! This place is a local favorite so don't let your trip to Helen go by without it!

Best Sausage and Egg Breakfast Biscuit I've ever had. Scratch that... Best Biscuit I've ever had! This place is just plain flat out delicious! Great value too! If you're anywhere near Helen, GA you gotta check out this place for breakfast. If I'd been in town longer, I would have tried their lunch also.

Yummy breakfast and even better service! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, which personally means more to me than the food even. I appreciate the fact the restroom was clean and warm, too (they had a little space heater going to keep your bum warm)! :-) We will definitely be back.

My husband was hoping for breakfast but I was so tickled that they had lunch because I was really craving some country cooking. This place did not disappoint. He actually got some breakfast and I was able to get some lunch. They were right in between the switch. Friendly people, friendly service, excellent food! For real, good country cooking. Get there early it does get busy on the weekends. It's definitely worth a wait.

Best breakfast I've had in a while. The biscuits are light and fluffy, reminding me of my grandmother's cathead biscuits. Country fried steak, gravy, and cheese grits all hit the right flavor notes. I want this place to be in my town instead of Helen. It's that good.

Just a little country restaurant serving great tasting country style breakfast. Fast service, huge "Cathead" sized biscuits, and friendly smiles. Perfect hangover remedy!

Ate at this place twice in two days it was that good. If my grandmother was alive she would have given it 5 stars and she was the best cook of country food I've ever known. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is great. I honestly can't say enough good about Dottie's, next time I'm in Helen I'll eat there again. Really a gem.

We stumbled into here after our Hotel offered breakfast but had nothing. Let me tell you this place is worth it! The food was probably the best breakfast I have had in years. I wish we would have taken photos. Everyone was very nice to the customers. This is a 10/10 for us and we will for sure be back in the future.

Biscuits taste just like Grandma made them! Generous portions of everything. A bit of a wait when we were there, but they were also short staffed. To-go biscuits are huge and piled high with your choice of fillings. Highly recommend!!

Homemade cat head biscuits. Need I say more. 😍
