Sentinel Automotive is fantastic!
I highly recommend Sentinel as a trustworthy and skilled auto repair shop.
They went out of their way to accommodate me on a busy day. Provided outstanding service and were great to communicate with. If I lived in Woodstock, Sentinel would be my go-to mechanic. The shop is clean and tidy - a reflection of the owners' high standards, experience and terrific skills.

Best shop in town, cozy atmosphere, and a good family vibe. The best part is that they are South African.. then you know it's going to be the best service. I would highly recommend them.

It was time to work on my brakes on my 2015 BMW X1. This was my 1st time working on the vehicle since I purchased it pre-owned less than a year ago. I tried to remove the tires and noticed the special safety/ security lug nut on it. Try to remove it and notice the adapter that came with the vehicle was all chewed up and would not fit over the special lug. I tried every auto parts store to find adapter (including BMW) AND tire shop within a 5 mile radius of where I live and everyone either didn't have right tools to work on it or wanted to schedule me in 2 weeks out for an appointment.....Well, not at Sentinel!

This family shop understood what I needed and immediately accommodated me. I must have been lucky cause they not only took care of my issue, but they were so friendly and professional about it. Before I knew it, it was all taken care of and the cost of this was worth the efficiency of work provided. I was in and out same day! Thank you guys and I will most definitely be bringing my business here from now on!

I used Sentinel Automotive for a pre-purchase inspection. They are very knowledgeable, and explained everything I needed to know about the car. They are a family business, and it shows in their careful consideration of their customers needs. I purchased the car based on their advise and will have it serviced there in the future.

A+ experience here. Initially called for an estimate, a very sweet woman assisted me and called me back the same day.
Scheduled an appointment over the phone and dropped off the vehicle for work. My vehicle is 30 years old and has some rust from its time out in the elements. The tech(s) soaked them overnight, I was informed the whole way where the vehicle was at in the repair process.
The repair was done properly and thoroughly.
Everyone was very pleasant and straightforward, especially with my tendency to sometimes not realize I’m talking too much.
Going to be back and I recommend them to anyone looking for quality/professional work, from the front desk to the shop.

So good I had to review them twice! You are not gonna find a better, more honest shop. They do excellent work at a fair price as well as being honest if they aren’t the best place to get certain work done. They care about their customers and their well being. It’s a family run shop and you can really tell because of the care they take with each customer. I really can’t say enough good things about them, you won’t regret trusting this shop.

After many experiences with different car repair shops in a Cobb and Cherokee counties, with less than satisfactory outcomes over the past 4 years, I can now 100% state that I have finally found an honest and competent car repair place in Sentinel Automotive Repair. I rarely write reviews , however these guys merit every word of this review.
They repaired my Nissan in a prompt and courteous manner. Having correctly diagnosed the engine issue and then made the repairs with a very fair price, (parts and labor included). I highly recommend them for whatever mechanical problems you may have with your car.

There is NO convenient time for a surprise need of an auto repair but these guys made it so much easier! Always cheerful, very helpful, and I feel like I have found a new set of best friends!

Their prices are very good, their timing was even better. In fact, their timing was TOO fast because I just wanted to stay & talk to the owners/proprietors, Vonn & Delicia Van Biljon, & get to know them better! In fact, what we thought was a couple of different problems turned out to be from just one problem. Rather than rush all the work through, & charging me an additional several hundred dollars, they repaired one of the problems & told me to drive it around to see if that helped it all. I've had my car back for a couple of weeks now & their instincts were right! So far, all is well & it saved me some money!

You can bet I will use Sentinel for all my auto repairs in the future! Thanks so much, guys! Very courteous and honest service. The manager will work with you and did a very good job diagnosing the issues my 2006 Ford Escape had because it kept shutting down and leaving me stranded. They did a great job for a fair price and most importantly, worked me into their schedule quickly while other shops told me it would be one to two weeks before I could be seen. Thank you Ewald.

First, let me tell you that I am 68 years old and have had decades of dealings with mechanics, independent and dealers.
In those years, I and my wife were disrespected and ripped off thousands of dollars by almost every one of them, including dealers and Walmart. I did finally find a company who I was able to trust, but a few years later the absentee owner lost his good mechanics and replaced them with con artists.
If you have been around, you know how hard it is to find a good trustworthy one. Well, congratulations I have found two to tell you about.
The father/son team at Sentinel are fantastic They do their own work and know what they are doing. Not only that, they are respectful. Strangely, they are a few dollars less per hour than other independents. Great work at a slightly lower price, who could beat that. THEY DO.
In the year that I have been going to them, they have always looked out for me and my pocketbook. These guys do not upcharge or look for minor things just to get in a person’s wallet. Further, on two occasions, the price of my repairs was lower by hundreds of dollars because after getting inside the engine, they found that some things were in good condition. How often do you think that happened to me before? Never!
Also, not only have they done some small free work for me, I have seen them do the same for other people.
And, if that was not enough, I have had to force them to do some work that they felt could have waited. As an elderly man with no family and one vehicle, I am concerned about breaking down. While 20 years earlier, I could easily handle such a condition and appreciate their trying to give me the best bargain, I just can’t take that chance anymore and they respect my situation. I have even had to make them take some money for things they tried not to charge me for. I am not rich, but I have my dignity and respect that they have families to provide for.
I highly recommend that you visit these guys and do as I always do which is tell them to let you how much it will cost so that you can get cash for a discounted price and to take care of your car.
Though I’m a pacific, if you wish to support veterans, they are that also.

The guys at Sentinel were great. They worked on my Yukon and even let me use a loaner car so I could get to work. They called me at every step of the way from the diagnostics to the repair costs. Before they did anything they let me know how much it would be. The prices were fair and Sentinel had the car fixed by the end of the day. The shop is clean and the two guys I met were friendly and took the time to explain each repair and part on my bill. I highly recommend this shop and will be taking my wife’s car there too.

The guys at Sentinel are great to work with. My 05 Suburban starter went out and the had it back to me in two days, this was without an appointment. They fit me in to get me back on the road. If your vehicle needs work, I highly recommend visiting them. Thanks again guys!

Fast, efficient and friendly service! I’ve been burned by several mechanics in the past before, so it was a breath of fresh air to be properly informed and taken care of. I was able to have my car’s ignition coal and one of my spark plugs changed in just under 30 minutes. Very professional service and I will be back again for future car maintenance!!!
