Aurora St Luke's South Shore

I recently drove to their ER department because of some worrisome symptoms that I thought might be heart related. I had planned on calling my doctor on the next day about how I was feeling, but suddenly the way I was feeling, I didn't think I should wait. I was seen immediately in the ER and the staff began asking questions and started the necessary exams and X-rays. I was so impressed by the care given. I was admitted to the hospital on an observation stay for further testing. The staff their were all very nice. They were all very gentle with drawing my blood (my veins are deep). Any tests I had were done with care. The food was good. This was my first overnight stay at a hospital and I feel I had quality care.

Dr. Kim, his staff and everyone in the GI department are wonderful! I was so nervous coming in, but they put my mind at ease right away. I can't thank you all enough for helping me though this tough time! You are all Rock Stars!! Thank you!

I recently had day surgery there. The staff was very nice and bubbly. The only complaint I have is when I told the nurse to take my BP manually because electronically it reads higher each time it's taken. Well she soon found out the patient was right.

This was the best customer service I've had in a long time. The receptionist Debbie was super friendly and escorted us to our location. The nurses Diane and Wendy were so kind and patient. They really took the time to make me comfortable. Dr Kim was also super kind and listened to me. I really can't say enough good.

Had my second colonoscopy at st Luke’s south shore and would recommend this facility. Staff professional and kind. They will make you at ease and comfortable .

Clean, quick, no crowd in the emergency waiting room. Staff seemed like they actually cared. Nurses and doctors were outstanding.

I commend the staff, nurses, technicians, doctors, for their friendliness and efficiency. Everyone seems to take my health care seriously but with a lighthearted air of confidence and transparency. I always felt at ease, comfortable, well informed, and safe at the facility. Thank you all for caring. It shows in your work.

After a family member spent about seven weeks, mostly in ICU, no matter what, it’s impossible for me to not give this facility.

The ICU doctors and staff, especially Dr Kramer and the nurses, and other staff, took amazing care of the patient and their family.

Now the short time spent on other non ICU floors, I can’t say too many good things about them.

But the ICU staff from early June till late July 2023 was better than amazing. I thank you all. God bless.

What a great alternative for day surgery instead of a large hospital! ALL staff were professional as well as compassionate!

Had my boyfriend cleaned, x-rayed, stitched and pain under control in less than 2 hours, and on a Friday! Amazing staff with great team work! Way to go ER crew!!

Sunday found me in at ER with a spouse experiencing stomach issues. We found a comfortable area to wait for our turn as it seemed to be a very busy afternoon. While waiting is never easy for humans, we were grateful for professional, attentive staff throughout the process. Once able to be moved to a room and assessed the level of care and attention was in my opinion stellar. Nurse Lily was the BEST, she made sure he was comfortable and addressed any questions or concerns. Carefully explained what the procedures would be and tended to his every request with a great cheery smile. Our PA Lauren came to explain the need for the CT scan and bloodwork necessary. Explained the results carefully on the inflammation in the colon and diagnosis of diverticulitis. Dr. Goldberg came as well after to review the CT, answer any concerns and give direction on prescriptions, diet and follow up. The hard working staff from check in, transporters, phlebotomist and more were caring, mannerly and their compassion for the patient were evident. KUDOS to the entire team.

It is never fun going to the ER!!!! Everyone is going to have a different experience however, the nurses, techs, physician's assistants, and the Drs here are incredibly nice.
I know these people deal with difficult situations and difficult people everyday all day. The fact that they maintain their professionalism and kindness is amazing. I can't tell you how much it means to me.
It's true the facility is not top notch it's not state-of-the-art it's not the best in the world but for a small facility, they do their very best to take care of everyone.
It's under unfortunate circumstances that anyone has to make a trip to the ER and the fact that these people are kind caring and understanding cannot be understated.
They get five stars for me simply because of their care, not their ability to give you the best state-of-the-art service but because of the kindness and thoughtfulness of the employees.

My son had day surgery here last week. I admit I was wary of the location, it's small and quiet and well slightly creepy. We were originally scheduled for WAMC but had to reschedule after an insurance mix up and South Shore was the soonest we could reschedule at. After having read many of the reviews here I had to come back and give them the 5 stars they deserve. In Day Surgery anyway. Everyone was friendly and compassionate. Everything went smoothly and we were kept up to date via text (a great service!!) on every step of the procedure. The waiting area and recovery rooms are all comfortable and contemporary (for lack of a better word?) We had an excellent experience.

I went to South Shore ER after taking a fall. The entire staff from the aid wheeling me in to all the nurses, Doctors and rest of the staff were very professional and friendly. I was discharged after all the tests in a couple hours. If I could I'd give higher than 5 stars

I had my very first surgery here yesterday and first time being put under anesthesia, and let me tell you I was so nervous!!! Crying and shaking and these were the best nurses, and or doctors ever!!!!!!! They kept me calm and I didn't feel any pain at all! Scariest time of my life and I wanna thank you all for being there for me and taking care of me! I love you all!!!!

Would like to thank everyone who helped me with covid. From the emergency room crew (angels) the icu crew (angels) and the bosses of the hospital. Very good place to go. The South Shore hospital is a small family oriented place. I was in for 21 days (icu). The docs and nurses were so strong and full of love. I'm even putting a shout out for the kitchen staff. Food is not hospital food.5 stars Ty to anyone else I missed. Christopher

The faculty, nurses and doctors actually care I didn't feel like a number like cattle walking in and out really clean, kind , loving place I highly recommend this hospital

Great hospital! Remarkably attentive and caring staff. Mother-in-law was in ICU for pneumonia. Couldn’t have been treated better. Recovered after 5 days, thanks to wonderful care. Unbelievably quiet and restful. Other medical centers should emulate. Grateful to nurses and support personnel!

Very clean place! Staff were very lovely. I went in for PHO and the partial hospitalization staff were very kind, professional, and helped me through my issues. Even through the awful winter weather they managed to communicate with operating hours, delays, and always had parking available.

this morning my spouse Pat fell and hit her head hard. She was brought to St Luke's South Shore at our request because of the care they have given us in the past. Emergency room Personnel are experienced and caring group of people. They did not waste any time getting the diagnostic information necessary to form a conclusion. Pat still experience dizziness after the evaluation was finished. They couldn't find a specific cause but felt for her safety it would be best to remain in the hospital overnight. She could be observed and have help readily available. This is what we chose to do and she remains there tonight. I felt a strong connection of care and concern by the people. I felt they were very experienced and knowledgeable and followed their advice. We together have a strong confidence and respect in their abilities.
